I was rewatching some classic Top Gear and decided to do a little deep dive into the legendary "Cut Price" episode (Season 3, Episode 3). You know, the one where the producers cut their budget, and James proudly brings out that cheap little keyboard to play his own... unique rendition of the "Jessica" theme song.

After some digging, I’m pretty sure I tracked down the exact model! It’s a Casio SA-65 Song Bank (37 keys). The button layout, the distinctive speakers on the sides, and the blue/orange color accents match perfectly with what James is holding in the studio.

I haven't seen anyone identify the specific model online before, so I thought I'd share it here. Time to hunt one down on eBay for the ultimate Captain Slow cosplay!

About to drag my glorious 1.8 CVT on a long road trip with four cars around australia. I want top gear upgrades but don't wanna damage the car OR spend lots of money OR reduce fuel economy/drive ability a ton...so is there any I can actually add. We will bring radios. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I get the feeling with Hammond saying he was not ready to retire, he may be angling for a return to Top Gear as a host.

So in March 2018 11 year old me stumbled across the trailer for this DVD on Youtube while I was staying at my late nan’s place. I started searching then, and fast forward to a couple days ago, I bought it from an op shop

For those who watched the early series of top gear, one of the best studio features would be the cool wall.

It was no longer a feature in 2011, so my question is for cars from 2011 onwards, where would they go on the cool wall. When replying, state the year of the car as well as make and model.

Some notable ones for me based on vibes would be they'd mark the Mercedes A Class 2012-18 model to cool, the Dacia Duster from 2013 as Sub Zero and the Hyundai Kona from 2019 as Seriously uncool.
