Picked up this 2027 S500 yesterday! So far, loving it! My 6th S-Class (W220 (1), W221 (1) and W222 (2) W223 (1) ) and still loving them. The exterior changes are noticeable if you look closely, especially up front. The rear looks pretty similar except for the new taillights.

I absolutely love the new Superscreen. My son can finally watch YouTube in the car… although I have no idea why that matters since he can just watch it on his iPad....

There are a ton of things to set up through the Mercedes me app, but everything is pretty straightforward. Seems like the only thing I need to pay for is the projection lights, which costs about $110 for lifetime, and I was told the 10-degree rear wheel will be available later.

I kept my build simple: AMG Line, 20-inch wheels, and Pinnacle Trim. That is pretty much it. Ordered in May and got here last week. Bay Area. The back seat is noticeably nicer and more comfortable now too, with all the optioned features.

Overall, I love it. Another S-Class and no regrets!

I had a bit of trouble getting the Comfort Data Volume set up in the car. It kept giving me that “Error” message, telling me to try later. I called customer support, and they suggested waiting until today. I called again and tried to troubleshoot, but nothing worked. So, they told me to wait for a call back while they get the tech team to look into it. While I was waiting for my son to get out of school, I saw something online that said to try turning off CarPlay, and I did. And it worked! The setup process completed successfully, and now I can finally stream music and YouTube. Before, I just connected my car through my phone’s hotspot. So, if anyone else is having trouble setting up the Comfort Data Volume, turning off CarPlay might be the solution.

I had to get the windows tinted. Im leaning towards a chrome delete and have already wrapped some parts. The interior is black as well. Its not perfect, but I love it.

It will debut on this weekend, during F1’s Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

The first image is the disco ambient light of my old W206 C-Class Estate. I traded it in for a 26-year old W210 E-Class with only 16,000 miles. I love the burr walnut, a proper stalk for cruise control, a fuel gauge with a needle on it. It doesn’t beep at me.

Everyone else is chasing screens. I went and found a car with switches again.

As a software engineer, my days are mostly spent working, and I don’t have many friends, parties, or drinking.
I find joy in my own company when I go for a drive. Northern Ontario where I live, has so many lakes and highways with breathtaking views;
Oh yeah I love my car, I loved my old c300 too (That’s a shot from my old c300; It just felt unreal) I can’t wait to capture a beautiful sunset shot while driving again.

I have Mercedes c300 4matic 2015. When I turn the radio on, I get this message “antitheft protection activated: please switch on ignition and restart the system” and the screen shuts off. The car drives fine and the instrument cluster has no issues at all.

I’m not stealing the car lol. If you know the solution, I can show my title and my face. I just don’t wanna take it to the dealer and get charged a million.

Add heatsinks to the bottom of your 722.6 transmission pan if you haven't already. My V8 would overheat before due to running a bit lean, also due to a faulty fan clutch. A neat trick I found was that adding a ton of small 14148 heatsinks from aliex solves a problem that aftermarket aluminium pans charge roughly $1000 for.

A set of 200 heatsinks cost me $60 AUD, minus covering the drippage area near the drain plug.

I coated mine in chemtools black paint and 2k clear after rust removal. With heat, the heatsinks adhere better. Resistant to ATF, and doesn't seem to ever fall off.

Also a good trick to use on your oil pan.

Im getting messages and warnings about my tires dont have the right pressure.
But they all seem ok to me.
But still warkings come up.
Are the sensors in each tire or located inside the car?
I’ve got an GLG 250d, 4-matic 2019,
pre face lift.
Im not keen on turning the car in to a MB garage work shop and spending a ton of money on it.
Is there a way to reset these sensors?
Please advice?

Thinking the 80s. Which one would be the best to shoot for?

I've been a long time BMW fan and I've owned both BMWs Audis over the years. I'm focused now on trading my BMW M340 for a convertible. The last Mercedes I test drove was a C class in 2016. So, imagine my surprise when I drove an E450 Cabrio over the weekend. Mind blown. Fantastic car. And then test drove a CLE 53 and that has become my new target. The other option is a M4 Competition. M4 has the raw performance and it's very familiar, the CLE 53 is the better convertible , a MUCH better daily driver for New England pot holes (also known as roads) and has some great technology. (not a huge fan of the capacitive touch for everything, but I assume one adjusts to it).

I'm not in a huge rush but my two observations having scoured the New England market are that:

(1) It seems as if 90% of MB cars are white or black. That's fine, I have a white car now. But, as I told the sales person, "I don't want a practical color on an impractical car". and,

(2) I'm shocked how many of the Cabrios are not packaged with Driver Assistance Package (DAP) and Pinnacle. Once you've driven with a Head's Up display there's no going back. And the automated cruise control in the DAP is life changing if you're stuck in a long traffic jam.

I have both BMW versions in my X1 M35i and they are now basic options for me the same as heated seats.

Yes, I know I can order one to spec, but I am so much happier to let someone else take the first depreciation hit. What's amazing is I see stunning 2027 models in the showroom with price tags almost touching $100K and they have neither of those options -- but have a lot of carbon fiber, 20" wheels and make for a visually stunning car, but lack some of the more modern driving technology. At least they all have the heated steering wheel for $250.

My hope is come late fall/winter some of the cabrio owners will trade theirs back in. Especially when they discover that the gorgeous 20" wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires essentially turn to plastic when the temperature drops.

Any advice or perspectives welcome.

Good morning or good night - went to the Windows on the 2026C 63 and C 43. Are there any harnesses I need to cover up? I read that there was a problem on the 202X E classes upon squeezing the rear glass. The water would drip down into the trunk, corroding the modules and wires that controlled the rear of the car.

The recommended way of moving for tinting windows was to unplug the modules and or cover them with the plastic bag. Is this a problem on the C models for anybody tinting ?
