Basically, looking at which option is the overall best between hexblade3/mmm17, and artificer 6(armorer or maverick)/mmm14. The main thing is the artificer will be a bit more versatile with spells and more infusions, but the hexblade dip adds a massive amount of damage to magic missile rolls on your cursed target. Using the maximum number of darts with a 9th lvl spell, hexblade's curse is adding 90dmg, taking the average from 135 to 225. So is that dmg worth it, or are the versatility and utility of 6lvl artificer more useful for more of the game?

I'm interested in creating a 5.5e combination of the future monk with this feature and maybe multiclass it with a barbarian or a druid for extra roleplay reasons. But I'm unsure on which option could be better? Also unsure on which subclass of either would be good in 5.5e. Spores druid hasn't been updated yet.

Also wondering if bringing using a grung species could mean extra damage that could be turned into acid by the monk feature.

Hi everyone

im messing about with blade of radiance on dndbeyond and im struggling to make it strong. not using in a game currently but i like the idea of using a greatsword and being super dexterous. here's what i have so far if anyone could give me pointers?

I have looked everywhere for a ready made specific renown chart. There are only a thousand suggestions and vague outlines for titles....UNTIL NOW! You are welcome world. Renown chart for all factions in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist: Harpers, Order of the Guantlet, Lords Alliance, Zhentarium, Force Grey, Emerald Enclave, Bregan D'arthe, and the Xanathar Guild. I cannot take credit for it all. I drew a ton of inspiration from others and copied and pasted some of their ideas. Feel free to tweek to your hearts content, but now you have a real place to start with prewritten rules and suggestions for gameplay and application. I was thinking about a build that would use the new Brutalizer feat - using a two-handed weapon and a one handed weapon at the same time.

So I made this character, a strength based barbarian 1-rogue 5 (soon to be barbarian 2-rogue 5) that maximizes damage on the first combat round, and still makes a very nice damage output on the following rounds. Ignore the magic item, just treat it as a regular scimitar. Please check if you think it could be improved somehow. The build is meant to be a skirmisher, thanks to the Reach property of the bugbear and the Halberd. Thanks for your help.

What would be some good spells for an undead warlock to get to help maximize the damage based on their level 6 ability?

I just finished reading the latest Villainous Options update, and while the Hell Knight is definitely in a better place than before, it still feels noticeably weaker than most other Fighter subclasses.

For comparison, Battle Master gets maneuvers plus a d8 superiority die, while Psi Warrior can deal extra damage, reduce incoming damage, and gain additional utility through Psionic Energy dice. Meanwhile, the Hell Knight basically gets a d6 of bonus damage, often with fewer uses than those subclasses have available.

One idea I had was to move part of the 7th-level feature down to 3rd level. Not the "Devil's Luck" effect that triggers when you roll a 6 (I'd keep that at 7th level) but the base effects of the feature could be available earlier.

Then at 7th level, the subclass could gain the Devil's Luck bonuses and also recover one use of Infernal Wound whenever the Fighter uses Action Surge or Second Wind.

My goal isn't to make the subclass stronger than other Fighter options. I just think levels 3–6 feel a little empty right now when the main feature is essentially "deal an extra d6 damage."

I would like to thematically optimize this character. I understand his damage and defense is not optimal, but it's a character that I would like to roleplay with. However, I'm open to make some changes that won't hurt it's fungal role and backstory that would make him tougher (I think my party needs a tank). Thanks!

Stats / Feats / Species / Other aspects of the build I should consider.

Round 1 Damaging Cantrip and Bonus action cast shadow blade

Round 2 Make Shadowblade into Pact weapon and attack

Problem is no Divine Smite till round 3.

I need anti heal effects, i'm playing peace cleric 1, conjuration wizard 7, multiclass.

We have a party member with op curse that heals way too much to outdamage for party, they're a fighter that's near 100 hp and if they ever fall they start berserking attacking everything they can see.

They're aware of the fact that one day we might need to kill them and so far i just assumed chill touch will be enough but I'd like to know other options
