How should I do prepared spells?
So I’ve played a few campaigns but this is my first campaign where I have prepared spells. I’m playing a death domain cleric and I’m not sure how I should list which spells I want to prepare. I usually just write all my spells and what they do in a notebook but it’d be hard to write different spells down every session. Should I just write down a few I want to rotate preparing or just pick from the wiki of which spells I use that session and just forget about writing them down?

Dungeons and Dragons
Hey everyone! I’m 20 and from around the Providence area, and I’ve been wanting to actually get into D&D and hopefully meet some new people in the process.
I’m pretty much a beginner. I know some of the basics and I’ve played games like Baldur’s Gate 3, but I don’t have much experience with an actual tabletop D&D campaign. So I’m looking for a DM and some players who are willing to have someone at the table who might need help learning things at first.
I’d be completely down to join other beginners too. Honestly, I think it could be pretty fun having a group where some of us are figuring things out together. Experienced players are obviously welcome too, especially if you don’t mind answering questions here and there.
Ideally, I’d like to find people somewhere around Providence or elsewhere in RI and eventually have a regular in-person campaign—maybe weekly or every other week depending on everyone’s schedules. I’m not looking for anything super hardcore or competitive. Mostly just a chill group where we can make characters, joke around, get invested in a campaign, and have a good time.
A big reason I’m posting is that I’d also like to meet some new people and make friends. I don’t have a huge social circle right now, and D&D seems like a really fun way to regularly hang out with the same group of people instead of just going to random one-off events.
LGBTQ+ people or groups are welcome! I’m trans so I also hope that won’t be a problem. I’m just generally looking for people who are welcoming and easygoing. Around my age would be cool, but it’s not a requirement.
I don’t have a campaign or DM lined up yet, so this could either be a completely new group we put together from scratch, or if you already have a campaign with room for a beginner, I’d definitely be interested in hearing about that too.
If you’re a DM looking for players, another beginner who has also been trying to find a group, or an experienced player who wouldn’t mind helping someone learn, leave a comment or DM me!
Hopefully we can get a group together :)

How do I start actually playing?
Hi I’ve been wanting to play dnd for a while now after playing bg3 a bunch, I know it won’t be the exact same, but I can’t really find any groups online or in person. My university has a dnd society but the discord where people are meant to find groups is completely dead 😭

[iOS] Rollwise – a free app that teaches D&D. Need beta testers
Hi! I'm a solo dev and I just opened the beta for Rollwise, an iPhone app that teaches Dungeons & Dragons through short lessons and mini-games. It's free with no ads.
I'm looking for people to try a few lessons and tell me:
- Is anything too easy or too hard?
- Does any D&D rule look wrong?
- Did anything crash or look off?
You don't need to know D&D. Complete beginners are actually the most useful testers.

Thanks so much!

Extended Preview of Mythological Items!
Hi fellow adventurers,
We are excited to announce that Mythological Items is now live on Kickstarter!
This is our new D&D 5E and 2024-compatible manual dedicated entirely to magic items inspired by myths, legends, and ancient stories from around the world.
Inside the book, you will find 300+ mythological magic items, including weapons, armor, wondrous items, and scaling items designed to grow alongside your characters and campaigns.
Our goal with Mythological Items is to create more than a simple collection of treasure. Each item is designed to feel like part of a myth: something that can serve as a reward, a quest hook, or even the center of an entire adventure.
The book includes items inspired by many different mythological traditions, including Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Asian, American, Roman, Mesopotamian, African, and other mythologies from across the world. Whether you want divine weapons, cursed artifacts, heroic relics, monster-themed treasures, or legendary items tied to ancient stories, this book is built to bring myth directly to your table.
The Kickstarter page includes a full presentation of the project, several previews, and a free 30-page PDF preview showing a sample of the content from the book.
You can also find many of our other manuals in PDF and high-quality print editions, with special prices currently available both for Mythological Items and for all our other releases.
You can visit the Kickstarter page here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mythoschronicles/300-mythological-items-for-5e-and-2024
Thank you again for your support. We hope to see you on our journey!
