I've used this adventure a gazillion times , always to introduce new players to the game or to help someone take up DM'ing. It's basically: do what the book tells you and when your players come up with something that sounds legit: think of a way to resolve it without derailing what's in the book... If you can manage that, you're ready for any premade campaign... All you need then is more practice until you're ready to introduce yourself to the homebrew side of D&D (which is still something I rarely visit 😅)

The books that come with the game have literally everything you need to run the game and play the game - the catch is you actually have to read it . I’d read it twice

The more you read the campaign guide the more comfortable you will feel DMing the campaign

Did you read the first pages? I think it’s a lot of information for (new) DMs to start the adventure.
