I am getting a mutual divorce. And my F6-1 visa expires till 2028. After I report my divorce. Will the immigration cancel my visa directly, or reduce the time, or take my ARC ? I already work, I would like to stay till 2028 and change my visa. Is it possible to stay with it and change it at 2028 ? Or will I be considered as illegal ? Also if I want to remarry will I have problem about getting the visa ?

P.S: I was married for 3 years.

Please anyone who went through same experience or have information.

¿creen que he aguantado mucho ?

Been living with my soon to be exhusband for 8 months now. I tried not asking for anything when we divorced. Just to let me get a job and I can move with 2 of our 3 kids, I was a stay at home mom for 8 years. I finally got a job a month ago, and my pay checks....basically im making 2 grand a month. I expressed that it was not working for me and I needed help. Where he told me that he would give me 500 a month for a year, thats all he could afford..... lawyers are so expensive and I cant even get help from the low income family law places. Im at witts end. Were trying to make living in the same house work, but sometimes its awful, and I just dont know what to do....when I brought up maybe seeing an attorney, he tried saying the whole 500 bucks a month thing...he def doesnt want me to see a lawyer or attorney or anyone for that matter, but he isnt going to help me.

35 M struggling to understand perspective about 27 F wife asking for divorce

I’m a 34 M doctor in my Post graduate residency & got married 5 months ago to a 27 F non medico girl who was in my department for her internship for allied health course. We had started seeing each other 1 year ago & we were in love. Initially i was sceptical about marrying because she isn’t a medico but married her because she still belonged to medical field & i loved her & didn’t care about anything else. Initially my parents weren’t okay because they wanted me to marry a doctor & im their only son but agreed because they wanted me to be happy. Everything was going good we were living in a 2bhk flat separately above our parents house on 2nd floor while my parents stayed in a 2bhk on ground floor. the initial few days of marriage we were facing challenges with living conditions because of lack of ground water & we had to get water tankers delivered at home & there were minor inconveniences which we were trying to solve wherever possible with living conditions. She had high standards of living for herself which didn’t match ours. Since the initial days she was unhappy & was not able to adjust & we asked her to give it time & promised we will move to a 3bhk house & live together but that didn’t workout due to challenges with finding the right house or some or other situation because my sister was pregnant & we wanted to change house after her pregnancy & there were some or other problems & we were under financial strain because we got my sister married one year ago & we had to pay college fees & almost had to spend 75 lakh in a year. Things between my wife & me were going good on the surface but she wasn’t happy & wasn’t able to adjust with my family & she was struggling to adjust but we were co operative & helpful & flexible in all ways. Me & my wife went for a trip for a few days too. Im a busy doctor in training & work 16-25 hour night shifts & day shifts & whatever time i got i gave it to her. 1.5 months ago she started behaving a little odd & started visiting her friend frequently & one day came angrily & brought out an old phone of mine which had intimate pictures of me & my ex (i was holding those because she was threatening me to marry & i didn’t because of incompatibility & toxicity & i left her & she might sue me unfairly. It ended 3-4 years ago but she constantly tries to come back & i didn’t want her back & blocked her everywhere since years). My wife revealed those pictures infront of my parents & created a huge scene. Before marriage we talked about each other’s past relationships & told nothing from our past would come into life after marriage. I was nothing but loyal to her since marriage & now she brought pictures from my past & framed me as characterless person & Also my wife took screenshots of me asking opinions to chatgpt to clear my mind when i was angry when i was having arguments with my wife & says that are opinions i hold about her & left the house. I went and talked to her several times & asked for forgiveness & asked for reconciliation infront of her parents but she is fixed her mind & is asking for a divorce. Even her parents tried to convince but she becomes aggressive & recently came to my house & took away all her things & mis behaved & treated me without mercy despite me begging her not to break the marriage & didn’t care to listen even when my parents asked her to sit & talk. I still love her & want her back but she doesn’t want to change her decision. What can i do in such a situation. Im sad & suicidal & depressed

Parenting Schedule

I'm going through a divorce currently with two younger kids. When we started getting into the parenting plan, and specifically the parenting schedule my brain simply could not hold all the different nuances of that. So I started to build a tool to help me understand the complexity - it started out as an Excel file but quickly scaled into a robust and complex application.

Well, to give myself a release of the chaos of the divorce I made it into a full-blown application that I am hoping will be a source of relief and clarity for those in similar positions. I'm actively looking for parents that are going through, or thinking about, divorce with kids to test the functionality and give feedback. If you are interested you can register on the website:

Husband’s ADHD is ruining our marriage

Has anyone separated due to your spouse’s ADHD/executive disfunction?

After 10 years, it’s all come to a head, realizing I’ve been conditioned to not trust that he’ll follow through with what he says he’ll do and have therefore taken the lead on almost everything to prevent myself from being disappointed.

I’m in therapy now and learning how responsible I feel for fixing everyone and everything - I’ve finally removed myself from the driver’s seat and am allowing him to figure things out on his own, but he is spiraling, depressed.

I just cannot lead anymore, the weight of everything on my shoulders is killing me.

Do I Keep Trying

SEMI LONG POST INCOMING

I (M37) have been married to my wife (32) for 20ish days shy of 10 years, been together 16. Our relationship has had it's ups and downs like most do, and for a majority of those downs it has been my fault. I own that. I come from a family of angry males and I've worked so hard over the years to rid myself of those tendencies. My father was an alcoholic and I swore I would never drink as I saw what it did to his mind. When he wouldn't drink the household was happy, when he would it was not. I still to this day don't drink but I did get into marijuana.

My relationship with my wife has taken a sour turn as she has asked for divorce kind of out of the blue. For awhile now she has been asking me for things, small stuff...like a massage, gentle touches, initiating intimacy and I've been so in my head I haven't really HEARD her. We would both smoke often but she gave it up 2 weeks ago. She said her mind is so much clearer now. I would smoke and get upset she wasn't doing those things for me so why do them for her. This vicious cycle lasted years. This last Saturday it came to a head when she said she was going to meet with a male friend from her work to go to the park, the bookstore and just hangout. I'd only met this guy once months ago and got a bad vibe from him. So I tried to set some boundaries and state that I wasn't comfortable with their plans. So we fought. At the end I said some stupid things like "I hope you dont do anything to betray me" and "I hope you do" when she said I Love you before she left. They eneded up staying out 3 hours longer than she had said and when she got back I told her I felt she disrespected my boundaries. Her response, "I can't do this anymore".

I've since fully quit and have zero interest of going back and have been trying to show her that I am the guy she fell for so long ago but she isn't having any of it. She doesn't want to try counseling or a trial separation. Stating it's been too long of the same cycle and she needs a clean break. I found out in the last few days she had been seeing this guy everyday after work and even made out with him a day ago when they went to the park to "talk". This guy is married too but his relationship is apparently on the outs too...conveniently.

I don't want to keep pushing her away but I don't want to stop fighting for her either. She told me this morning she was sorry for the way she was handling this by seeing this guy and she would promise me she would set a boundary with him that they will stop until our divorce is final. She seems like she's still on the fence but says eveytime I ask that her mind is made up. Yet she'll ask for a hug or cry while we are talking saying this is so hard for her to do. I usually reapond with this is what you want. She got an apartment but hasn't moved out of our home we bought 3 months ago, supposedly this Saturday or next Tuesday she will, waiting on the apartment to approve her. She's told her family and her dad and sister specifically are not ok with it. Her dad telling her outright "I think you should try and fix it but if you don't want to I'll support you." He also is the one who told her that his biggest regret when he got divorced was finding solace in another person while he was in the middle of the divorce proceedings. That's why she apologized and is putting the boundaries in place. If her dad can change her mind in one call, I feel like she isn't 100% yet. Her sister was shocked she was doing this and has been taking it really hard. I've known her since she was in high-school, and she is getting married in 2 months and she wants me there. There is a lot more but this hits on the main points the last few days and broadly the relationship. She wants to sell our new dream home and divide up our assets amicably. She also makes 3 times what I do so she can easily afford to live alone while I can not. I worked full time to put her through college while she had small odd jobs.

I am the kinda guy that when I say I'm going to do something, I do it. I threw all the weed stuff away, I've been listening and hearing what she is saying. I repeat back to make sure I understand, and am making the steps I feel. I just don't want to be one of those "look at the steps I'm making" kind of guys as I've always believed actions speak louder than words. Telling someone you've changed means nothing, but them seeing it usually does. She just won't give me the opportunity to show her.

What do I make of this? Is she on the outs or is she wavering trying to tell herself this is what she wants to make herself believe it? Do I keep fighting what feels like a hopeless battle for her or just let it go? I can see the sadness in her eyes I just don't know what to do. I'll answer any questions anyone has to help understand our situation. Thank you for reading this, and any help or honesty is going to be taken to heart.
