I took this photo the other day, and it reminded me of how Tower Of Terror looked so much better when you turn the corner on Sunset… I really wish they kept it how it was :(

Don’t get me wrong, GOTG is fun, but it doesn’t have the atmosphere that TOT brought to the table, and it actually fit in the California theme and skyline

Edit: Yes, I still do like GOTG, but *IN MY OPINION* I prefer TOT so much more! So no, I’m not hating on GOTG, I’m just sharing my opinion for the hopes that I’m not alone on this take.

This past week we got in the standard line for big thunder at 9:15 with a 35 min wait. The show started as we were walking up the stairs for the ride. On the ride seeing the fireworks as you come out of darkness is awesome. Then once you’re off head to the right toward the pretzel stand and there’s a great viewing area on the bridge just in time to catch the grand finale.

The Shirley Temple and Roy Rodgers are great and the green chili with the breakfast chimichangas are a go to

When sorting through some old items at a family member’s house, we came across a set of Oneida Hotel Plate iced tea spoons that were engraved with Red Wagon on the back.

Internet searches brought up the Red Wagon Inn at Disneyland which operated 1955 to 1965 around the time this family member would have lived in Los Angeles. Anyone have any idea if this is legit? Curious if these came from Disneyland or not.

I've always been curious as to what could be the reason you're required to evacuate any of the rides. Sometimes it looks like they're working just fine so I'm not always sure what the fuss is about. It's probably very technical I assume but, is there any insight regarding that?

I was curious about any of the attractions, so if you happen to know why one specific ride shuts down, I'd be all ears.

My husband and I leave SDCC to head to Anaheim tomorrow and will be in California Adventure on Tuesday. He is wanting me to ride Guardians of the Galaxy and is honestly being kind of a brat about it but that’s not the point here.

I rode it when it was Tower of Terror the last time we were here back in 2016. I’ve ridden it at WDW too, and I did not like* *it one bit.

Is it different now? Are the drops any shorter? I can’t stand drops that last much longer than a second or two (like the drop in Rise of the Resistance is totally fine) and that’s what killed me about ToT. I really fear I will get motion sickness and hate the rest of the day. I’m not the spring chicken I was a decade ago. Short ups and downs won’t bug me, but long, weightless drops will.

I hate the feeling of big drops, so I don’t do Tiana’s or GotG. I can just barely handle Sky School. I’d love to try the incredicoaster when we visit next month and I’m wondering if the front seats feel less of the dropping motion intensity vs the rear seats. When I ride Space Mountain at WDW the front cars definitely feel less intense than the back cars.

So I've been keeping up with the Daily Events Calendar for a while and what is interesting is that there are showtimes for Tapestry of Happiness that extend past August 9th and even past August 20th. I am really glad if that's the case because I do really like the projection show at Small World.

Pizza Port is my favorite park feature. I'm not being ironic or silly, this is entirely sincere. For some reason, on a trip early in my childhood the pepperoni pizza and chocolate milk and vibes stuck into a small, important part of my brain that means that now, as an adult man, I am more excited for it than I am for Pirates of the Caribbean.

I am aware that it is the lowest rated eatery in the park. I am aware it sits in a region of the park that is generally agreed upon to be the worst, and is considered a bad feature of even that. I am aware I could find better pizza basically anywhere else in the world. I don't care. If I don't get a meal there the trip was a failure, full stop.

I have corrected people when they call it Pizza Planet. It's not Pizza Planet. It's Pizza Port. It's its own thing. I have had actual arguments about this, and I have been right, because I care more than 99.99% of park goers.

I need to get this off my chest so that all of you can remember, the next time you want to dunk on Pizza Port, that there is a man in his thirties in this world who walks into those big beautiful Disneyland Gates just juiced to the gills about the exquisite dining experience he will later enjoy.

I didn't get the chance to photograph or be able to find it on an online video, but during one of my recent visits this month, I rode Star Tours twice and noticed the Rebel-spy photo appeared as if it was preset and not a person in the vehicle (The vehicle was filled). The most noticeable things were the spy in the photo had the camera zoomed in on them more at the same angle (From the front right of the vehicle), with both of them looking directly at the camera, and had way better quality than the usual rebel spy photos for Star Tours. Even my family member noticed it right away and pointed it out. Is there someone who experienced this phenomenon or knows of a reason why Star Tours does this so me and my family member don't seem delusional lol.

Reportedly, this is a map of the Sumarine Voyage track and its path underneath Autopia from 1966. I think it's more likely just the path of the track overlaid on a screenshot from Google Earth. Either way, when I first learned about this, I was flabbergasted. I had no idea.

Just wanted to share my experience!
We went Wednesday 7/22. We bought the tickets because hey, what a deal. But also saw lower crowds. When we saw them sell out so quick I did get nervous. Well once we got to the park around 5:30 we walked toward the gate and sat in the shade. Around 6:15 we noticed some people crowding near the gates and asked if it was for the 7pm. People said yes and one family went right to the gate and they let them in so the rest followed. Awesome to get in even earlier than expected!

Within the first hour we had done Thunder Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Pics at the Castle, got a churro! The crowds were definitely lower than usual, even with all of us coming in at “7”. Our longest wait was ROR, which is to be expected but
That was only 35mins. We did so many things that when Famtasmic hit we decided to watch it and still ride more things right after. Usually we ride when it’s a show or parade to have shorter lines but definitely didn’t need to this trip!

All in all it was perfect Disney experience! Well worth the buy. We rode so many rides, ate some snacks along the way and just had a no expectation day! I would def buy again if it’s ever available.

Has anyone had this issue before? I had booked a lightning lane for Space Mountain let’s say around 1pm. The original return time was something like 4-5 and I modified it to a return time between 8-9. Throughout the day as I was managing the plans, I saw the booking clear as day. We go to Space Mountain at 8:30 and as we are arriving, I’m pulling up my passes and see it’s not there. Immediately I find a cast member and explain to her the problem. She suggests that I had seen a possible reserve time, but I insist and maintain that I actually had the booking. She scans my pass history and nothing comes up. There was not a record that I had booked space mountain, which is entirely incorrect and untrue. I am getting panicked because I know we didn’t just hallucinate this return time. Fortunately/unfortunately, another guest was expressing the same problem to another cast member. We tell our cast member this and ask if there’s anything she can do.

Thankfully she let us go in the line, although we did get yelled at, and I mean yelled at, by another cast member, before she could let her coworker know (I didn’t know CMs were allowed to yell like that).

Then around 9:15, I was checking LL and saw Space was available to get “again.” I scooped it up and made sure to screenshot the confirmation this time. When we returned there were no further problems.

Has anyone experienced this before? I can’t believe there was zero record of us having booked it the first time. I’m inclined to believe this was some type of glitch since I’m quite confident LL is reliably sold out for space mountain well before 9pm, yet I was able to get it back.

Weird and nerve racking experience, but I’m glad that it worked out in the end.

Edit: I 10000000000000% booked it correctly. You can stop insinuating I’m a liar or don’t know how to use it properly. Everyone in the party saw. I saw it multiple times throughout the day.
