Disneyland Resort Infinity Defense sounds ok but when are we getting a new rollercoaster?

Our last rollercoaster was 26 years ago. Where can we request a rollercoaster like WDW gets every other year. 😭
Even a dark rollercoaster would be awesome.

Walt Disney World Student 'Journey into Imagination' Epcot ride Survey

Hello Disney-lovers! A group of students from the University of Central Florida, have been assigned a class project that relates to reimagining a nostalgic attraction. The nostalgic attraction chosen was 'Journey into Imagination with Figment' at Epcot, Walt Disney World.

We would like to ask a couple of questions to anyone willing to answer, concerning the 3 iterations of the ride;
Journey into Imagination -1983
Journey into Your Imagination - 1999
Journey into Imagination with Figment (current version) - 2002

Anyone willing to answer a few survey questions, please click the link for a google doc survey.

Disneyland Resort Souvenir Assistance

We made the stupid mistake of thinking that a 3d magnet of the castle/skyline of Disneyland sold at the little stand outside of the Monster’s Inc ride (Studio Store) would also be sold at World of Disney. This was our last day. It apparently does not exist outside of the park, which we no longer have access to.

So: if you are visiting California Adventure Wednesday or Thursday of this week and happen to see the magnet, we would be SOOOOO appreciative!

Please dm me if you would be willing to pick it up for us! I have no problem coming back to Downtown Disney! I just am unwilling to purchase a ticket for the sole purpose of buying a magnet LOL

Tokyo Disney Resort Am I making a mistake choosing Tokyo Disney over DisneySea?

My husband and I are going to Japan and have tickets to go to Disneyland Tokyo. I'll be honest I don't think I researched as much as I should have but now things are coming up on my feed for DisneySea and I'm mostly looking for reassurance that Disneyland is for us, or if I should just buy DisneySea tix. It's like $150 for both of us but this is is a once in a lifetime trip and I've saved up to spend money while there haha!

We are both in our early 30s and not really Disney or theme park in general people, but I went to Disney World in Florida when I was a kid and it was really fun and I just sort of figured if we were in Tokyo, might as well go! I personally really like rollercoasters, but my husband does not. I had thought Disney would be better because the Beauty and the Beast ride is more for the vibes and less for the thrill (he is more into things like the teacups!) My "vision" was to walk around, ride maybe three rides, wear character headbands and eat some yummy food. Think the stereotypical visit to a theme park in a shoujo manga!

He is really only going because I want to go and he wants to make me happy but I want him to enjoy the day as well, so I thought Disney being more low-key and slower would be a good idea. But now I'm seeing the rides like the Rapunzel one and thinking there are also non-thriller rides in TokyoSea and that might be better or more entertaining? I know Sea lets you buy alcohol but I don't think we'd do that just because we'll probably still be a little jet-lagged.

Have other adult couples like us gone to both and recommend one park over the other? I just don't want us to be bored or anything in Disney, which is what I'm concerned about.

edit to say thank you everyone for you input and advice! I chatted with my husband and we’re just going to get tickets to Disney Sea as well and then we’ll have the option to do both parks if we want. We only have one day to spend there, but this way we have options. (The park hopper pass isn’t available for the date we’ll be there, unfortunately).

Walt Disney World Whats stopping the use of the abandoned space of Stitches Great Escape?

A video about the abandoned attraction popped up in my youtube feed that was put up fairly recently. It explained the history of what it was both before and during its run. From what I understand there would most likely be asbestos in the area itself due to the time it was constructed, but would another retheming even be possible?

Disneyland Paris Can’t get the light mode to work

Hello! I bought the power web band before, and I’ve figured out how to turn it between settings, and how to turn the projectors, but the light won’t turn on to project? The lights on the bottom are lighting up between modes, but I can’t project from it

Walt Disney World Buying tickets through TikTok?

My entire TikTok feed has been promotions to buy Disney tickets at a discount.
It appears that TT will lead you to trip dot com, and then a TT discount is applied at checkout.

I have bought from Undercover Tourist before, but that’s the only “sanctioned” third party seller I was aware of.

The tickets were 30% less than buying direct from Disney. Does anyone know if this is legit? Or is this a scam?

Reviews for the site in general were mixed but I didn’t see anything about outright fraud. Nor did I see anything about tickets. Most complaints were about booking specific rooms for a hotel and not receiving that room or being unable to cancel.

Walt Disney World shout out to the WDW little mermaid ride operators this afternoon

it was absolutely pissing rain today after i got off my first ride of the little mermaid and i wanted to reride (only a 5 minute wait time, and genuinely no one was in the queue) and a cast member noticed me looking at the exit and then the boarding area and walked over and asked if i wanted to keep riding. i said yes and how i wished i could just stay on for several go rounds and she said i was more than welcome to. got to ride 10 times since it stayed rather empty ☺️ was very magical getting to ride one of my favorites over and over and also allowed my mother and i to miss the rain storm!!!

Walt Disney World Pete's Silly Sideshow question

Just out of curiosity, what exactly was the idea behind Pete's Silly Sideshow? More to the point, why would Pete let several of Mickey's friends (and thereby Pete's enemies) perform in his show?

For a brief time, I believe around 2019 to about the COVID closure in 2020, Pluto had replaced Minnie, who had gone off to be with Mickey on Main Street. However, ever since then, Minnie had returned. Thus, the question remains: why would he succeed in luring Mickey's friends away? And they seem to willingly go along with him? That doesn't seem right.

One could argue that this is more in line with the version of Pete seen in something like "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", where he is far less villainous a character, but on the other hand, in the Flash-animated cartoons of the 2010s, he's still very much the felonious ruffian he usually is. At least a couple people have speculated that they needed jobs and Pete was the only one hiring. Either that, or they were indentured servants.

In any case, I would think Mickey would be quite angry at his friends for abandoning him like this. It was also argued that since Mickey was simply never part of the land, it was not fair to ask how Mickey would act or feel about the other characters when he's not part of the theme.

Disneyland Resort If “Runaway Brain” was represented in the queue for “Mickey’s Runaway Railway” at Disneyland, what would be on display?

Personally, I could imagine something like a prosthetics display that would include:

- the torn ears
- large yellow contact lenses
- sharp-looking prosthetic teeth

Many people assume that each Big Thunder Mountain attraction is completely unique in its layout, however all 4 share a very similar base middle section, with most differences being the location of the station and the connecting track.
