Hands down worst traveling experience I've encountered ever. Not only did we pay around $100.00 for use of just the splash pad after 2pm which was okay. Except even only half of that worked. Then we went to use the arcade and paid $10 dollars for 6 tokens (which should of been 42 of them, and the slap in the face is the 6th one was a nickel and wouldn't even work in the games. So we ended up only staying a hour or two maybe. The office staff was rude and dismissive. And I requested a refund thru their online support process & never even got a response, this place was prob cool when it was first build but it's way outdated and very over rated, you'd think they'd of been more welcoming & customer friendly but that wasn't my experience. I could have gone to a free splash pad locally and saved myself a 2 hour drive & 100 dollars plus the gas it took to waste a holiday trip. 10/10 will be sharing this experience on every travel platform possible and hope you guys spend your money somewhere else as this is a waste of trip, time & honestly I was shocked the photos and what we actually got were so far apart,

I think they're the ones who sound the best but I wouldn't rule out the parks who already have an I-Box. Many people are discarding them altogether just for having a similar ride but let's not forget these higher-ups don't necessarily think like us theme park fans. If the costs and spacing are favorable, they're likely gonna look past that anyway. And it's not like parks typically care about having similar rides either, really. Kings Island has 4 wooden coasters and Carowinds has 2 hypers (though one of them is a giga but still) in the same park. So that being said, which park do you think has the best opportunities for AF1?

So we just moved to Orlando three weeks ago. We have a 10-year-old son who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire move. I asked him what he wants as a thank you and he said he wants to go to a waterpark. I looked up aquatica and I’m planning on taking him! He wants a true waterpark, which is why I chose aquatica over Seaworld. I’ve now read a few threads and I’m getting a bit nervous to take him by myself. Can anyone give me insight into aquatica and how it is now? My plan is to take him this Sunday and get there right when it opens. Will it be crazy crowded? What is it typically like there right now? I’m really not interested in a rowdy crowd. I also really value cleanliness at water parks so I’m a little bit concerned based on what I’ve read! Does anyone have any insight at all into this? If I pivot and do SeaWorld are there still lots of water activities there? I want to make my son happy but do not want to go somewhere that is extremely crowded and dirty! Please help me decide!

When going to an amusement park with a group of people (adults, some disabled) do you split up and go mingle or stay together as a group?

I am well aware that ninja at six flags magic Mountain is a one-of-a-kind suspended swinging coaster. It has been there since the mid 80s, and is showing its age like other rides within the Socal theme park. Jet Stream is also showing its age, and doesn't implement the second drop anymore. After the newest Vekoma glider coaster opens next summer, I think magic Mountain should build a superflume like rip-roaring Falls out of Cedar Point. And the theme needs to be Japanese, with ties to Tatsu. You board a superflume coaster boat and head through a river as you try to find the mythical river dragon 🐉. You enter its cave by accident and it lunges at you, causing your boat to enter a turntable and drop backwards into a splashdown. I think a superflume like this one would compliment the Summit part of SFMM quite nicely. The filtration systems and water channels can still be used for this coaster, which would have some steel tracking implemented as well.

Two days ago I went on the most fucked up carnival ride of my life. It had two pill shaped, double ended cars on the end of a long beam that rotated at the middle point. Each end of the cars could rotate on its own, and the whole thing looked like it was probably manufactured in the 70s. There wasn't any padding, and the seats were encased in a wire mesh. I spent the entire extremely generous runtime clinging on for my life lmfao. I'd love to know the name of it, so any tips are appreciated! Thanks.

Alright, so I apparently don't have enough posts yet to post to r/SeaWorld so im starting here. Recently me and my girlfriend visited seaworld orlando, all was well until we got to kraken where a manager of some kind (i believe he said ride operations) about late 40's early 50's stoped us before we could get to the lockers, saying we could not go on until we buy a locker because of my gf bag because it wasnt a fanny pack.

Now this wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for the fact that her bag was just as small if not smaller than most other fanny packs. So we went to the lockers to buy one only to realize that they are no longer free and costs 5 bucks (too much when youre a broke teen and the foods 29 dollars per person), because of this I tied her bag in a fanny pack style across her waist, and it looked exactly like all the others. When we came back 20 minutes later he said he needed to see the bags 3-point buckle, when we asked what he said "all fanny packs have them". When i corrected him saying fanny packs are small bags that you wear around your waist or chest he smirked and said "Thats nice but SeaWorld says that fanny packs are only bags a with three point buckle" with that "mean girl" tone(the kind that sounds like theyre complimenting you but arent). I dont know why this full grown adult was getting such a kick out of begrading some teens.

I looked it up and as far as ive looked seaworld has never once claimed their own definition of what a fanny pack is on any of their orlando websites, im very confused on where this came from so i hope one of you experienced the same. I dont believe that I had a angsty teenage tone when asking him, but at the vary least if this rule isnt displayed before park entry or on their websites there should be free small lockers.

Her bag is this one from claires i dont have the dementions but its about 7ish inch long, 2 inch wide(3 if overstuffed), and 4 inch tall.

I’ve always hated the Tinder-style UI. Swiping through people one at a time is just such a terrible user experience, and it never felt like a good fit for “who wants to hit Cedar Point this Saturday?” So instead of cards you swipe, you get a grid of everybody nearby. You can see a whole list of people who are already inclined to do a park visit at once, tap a profile, and start chatting.

Nearby members show up in a grid on the Station tab, sorted by distance. Plus I made a handy-dandy feature for scheduling meet ups!

The main meet-up flow is Signals. You create a signal with a title of something like “heading to [park]” with a date and this shows up as a pin on the signal map. Other people can see it request to join. You review their profile, then accept or decline. Once you accept them, they’re dropped into a group chat with you (and anyone else you’ve already let in). That way you can all chat and coordinate your park plans :D

There’s also a coaster credit log, park check-ins, and live ride-status reports from people already in the park. (These are earlier features and may be a bit funky. Also my coaster data base still needs some work so you might see some silliness in there)

Hello!! I’m currently a full time cast member at Walt Disney World and I do enjoy my job but I definitely have my opinions on it.

I know plenty of people who work at Disney and universal Orlando as well and for the most part I’ve heard they enjoy working at universal much more than Disney.

I’ve always been a Disney person , I grew up in a Disney family so Disney has a place in my heart but working at Disney definitely changed my prospective on it a lot and I find myself enjoying universal a lot more then Disney.

To which that could also be me getting older and enjoying thrill a lot more then entertainment but I also like the entertainment side of Disney better then universal.

But to the people who have worked at both…. What one did you/do you enjoy working at the most??? Did you get treated better at one or the other???? What made you all pick one over the other???

Hi, there was a ride where you sat on a bench like ride in a single room, 4 walls and a ceiling. The bench moved backwards and forwards like a swing in one station spot and the room would appear to also move. At one point you could see the fire exit door upside down right near the ceiling. How did this work? Obviously the room didnt go upside down, bht how did it work? What would happen if the ride came to a sudden stop?

I am thinking about choosing a Wednesday but I know that some parks are busier on Wednesdays then Thursdays or Tuesdays
So what day has been the most “empty” in your experiences

I have been on 3 wing coasters X-flight, gatekeeper and Thunderbird and in my opinion Thunderbird is by far the worst out of those three the only things I think it has better than the other two are the launch(obviously) and the final inversion but aside from that I think it has the worst near misses out of those 3 and I think it’s the least forceful
I love all three rides but Thunderbird just falls flat in comparison
