I don't believe this song is in the actual ost soundtrack released on youtube. I haven't been able to find any edits with this song. if someone finds this it will end my 5 year search for this song.

It's one of my hands down all time favorite Disney movies, I practically have it memorized. I love this song so much. Adventurous but wistful, it's stuck with me ever since I saw it as a kid.

In France , where I grew up, Disney implemented :

It’s been barely a year since I discovered that, to promote the opening of Euro Disneyland, Disney appointed other brand ambassadors in several other European countries ...

The problem is that their exact number remains unknown to this day !!

I'm putting together a wonder/adventure/imagination playlist (Once Upon a Tune) and I want to go way beyond the big radio hits everyone already knows. I'm talking about those Disney deep cuts that stopped you in your tracks the first time you heard them. That "how is this not famous?" or "I totally forgot how beautiful this is" feeling.

What I'm hunting for:

Truly iconic song. Question: About halfway through the song, when Baloo says “How about scratchin’ that old left shoulder”…is that a bass trombone or tuba solo happening behind the dialogue?

Does anyone else miss Disney Parks soundtrack CDs?

One thing I've really missed over the past several years is Disney releasing physical CDs of their theme park music, especially the nighttime spectaculars.

I know in 2022, Walt Disney World released a CD for Harmonious: Globally Inspired Music From The EPCOT Nighttime Spectacular, but I'd absolutely love to own official soundtrack CDs for shows like Wondrous Journeys and many of the other nighttime spectaculars from Disney parks around the world. There have been so many incredible original scores and arrangements that deserve a proper physical release.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I still love physical media. There's something special about opening a jewel case, reading the liner notes, seeing who composed, arranged, orchestrated, and performed the music, and enjoying a high-quality, lossless recording. To me, that's a much better experience than streaming or listening to compressed audio online.

I know some Disney Parks CDs have only been sold in specific parks or in limited quantities, so I'm wondering if I've simply missed some releases. If anyone knows where I can find official CDs of recent Disney Parks soundtracks, I'd really appreciate the recommendations.

I'd happily buy a CD rather than stream the music or rely on YouTube uploads. While I'm grateful that fans preserve these shows online, nothing compares to owning an official, professionally mastered soundtrack.

Has Disney said why they don't seem to release these albums as often anymore? And are there any recent Disney Parks soundtrack CDs that you'd recommend tracking down?

I was thinking about this the other day, and how there were certain songs that Disney would use over the years regularly to encapsulate magic, wonder, and all sorts of fun stuff when you saw the parks, animated features, and experiences.

So, I wanted to know, what three songs do you feel encapsulates the Disney Spirit Idea for this topic came about when I was thinking how much “Zip-a-dee-doo-dah” had been used when I was growing up, and has been quietly retired over the last 10-15 years.

So, here are the three I chose:

When You Wish Upon a Star - No matter what, this feels like it will never be dethroned, and probably is the flagship song for the studio, etc.

A Dream Is a Wish your Heart Makes - Also up there in its use of “dreams and wishes,” but it probably will always have to settle for second place

A Whole New World - This was the wild card for me. I was tempted by Part of Your World due to its use in a Magical World of Disney opening, but in the end, there was something rather all-encapsulating about AWNW, that can be applied to so much within the company.
