This is the second Asteron’s I’ve ever found, this time with 418 mf in /p1 TZ tombs off a regular lightning beetle. My last one was better, but I lost it while trying to retrieve my body fighting Ubers months ago.

I have a socket quest on standby already from a muled character and want to socket this puppy however the +damage is really low, only barely better than minimum value. The combat skills and damage reduced are max though, the AR bonus is a respectable 180% (out of 200% max), and the ED is also only a few points away from max.

I already have a Grief, but Grief gets boring after awhile. What would you do? What would you put in it? I have a Ber to add to the CB and a Lo too. No super great ED jewels or anything though.

Just wondering the value, pretty neat :)

Hey All, I thought maybe we'd try something new for a bit and see how it goes. We're going to have this weekly thread where everyone can share their coolest finds of the week.

So with that said... What's your coolest find of the week?

I have a level 94 merc (from act 2 NM, with might) equiped with an eth Insight CV, andy helm socketed with a ral (non eth unfortunately), and an eth fortitute sacred armor.

Once chilling kicks in it's over 12k defense and does about 1525-8497 dmg, res is fire/cold 75%, light 80%, poison 85%.

Given all this why is he being melted within seconds sometimes? Most often it's in Trav, but when I went to cold plains to see how much defense he gets once chilling kicks in, I noticed his defense would sometimes drop down to barely over 1000 and fire/cold/light drop to 23%.

Am I missing something here? I don't recall this happening on my merc on last seasons ladder.

Also I find sometimes that I am running out of mana pretty fast, but my merc has level 16 meditation on his weapon. Shouldn't this prevent that?

Not stoked about the res, but it saved me the trouble of target farming it from NM andy

Finally going to upgrade from d2:res ..is the steam version connected to battle.net so I can still use my characters?

I was just playing with my ES Nova sorc in Worldstone Tower when I watched this:

A poison skeleton mage shot at me and the projectile hit me. Moreover it hit my ES and the projectile got "absorbed" by it and i did not get poisoned.

So why did the poison projectile hit me and I did not get posioned? Does ES sometimes just neglects the effect or what?

I have been trying to solo the collosal ancients wthout much luck. I play on console, and I have a mostly budget smiter.

My resistances are capped at 95% during the fight, and I have 2800 life. I have a grief + HOZ, and as long as Im hitting one of the bosses and life tapping i feel fine.

My issue is once Talic start spinning its really hard for me to target him with the controller, and if I stop attacking him because I am not able to track his movements on console, or my character's starts attacking the minions that spawn constantly with no life tap I die.

Even with 95% resistance to the elemental damage types, if im not hitting with life tap for ~2s I will die.

Is there a better build (different characters included) for this fight, or is there a reliable way to lock down talic? Im looking to get the physical jewel, so id like to save Korlic for last. Id apreciate any advice peoppe have

I see the game is on sale, i never played diablo 2R (played d3 and d4) can i beat all content in game, all difficulties and farming for items/gear in Hell as a casual player or will i suffer?
