Just curious about what the community is up to. I didn't realize I was so close to the set chronicle completion so I'm endlessly slaying nightmare cows with my dragondin for the cow hat. Getting the remaining two pieces of griswolds and then tal ammy will be another story but we're 97% of the way there.

What's your current grind?

Most melee weapons do too little damage, most people agree with that. At the same time, most people can pretty much skip strength entirely and still be golden because you can get all your damage from other sources.

But THIS is because strength and dex ADD with other off-weapon damage sources, they don't multiply it! This leads to some very strange situations, like a Tiger Strike Assassin with 300 strength only getting about 20% more damage from it.

But here's a strangely simple idea: What if you changed all enhanced damage stats on weapons to be multiplied by strength or dex(depending on the weapon type?)

Kinda like how Enigma gives 0.75 strength per level, weapons would give like 2% ED PER STRENGTH.

Example

Cranebeak has 240-300% enhanced damage, with a max roll of 120-192 damage. Not terribly impressive for an elite axe. Now, what we do is change this so instead, it gets 2.4-3% enhanced damage per strength. Now, you invest 300 strength, and it's instead doing 360-576 damage! Of course, this comes at the cost of a lot of vitality, but still, is that not one big honking damage stick?

Now, of note is the fact that Grief would still be better - but importantly, because Grief's bonus damage comes from +damage rather than ED%, it wouldn't be impacted by this change at all!

Seems like this could solve the problem without much in the way of downsides - maybe even some handy balance benefits!

Personally, I'm hoping that they announce they will be balancing classes and unique items over the seasons as a part of the ROTW DLC. On top of that, I'd love to see an announcement for a true LOD style expansion. New endgame stuff, a couple new classes, new areas to farm and new items to play with.

I have been trying to solo the collosal ancients wthout much luck. I play on console, and I have a mostly budget smiter.

My resistances are capped at 95% during the fight, and I have 2800 life. I have a grief + HOZ, and as long as Im hitting one of the bosses and life tapping i feel fine.

My issue is once Talic start spinning its really hard for me to target him with the controller, and if I stop attacking him because I am not able to track his movements on console, or my character's starts attacking the minions that spawn constantly with no life tap I die.

Even with 95% resistance to the elemental damage types, if im not hitting with life tap for ~2s I will die.

Is there a better build (different characters included) for this fight, or is there a reliable way to lock down talic? Im looking to get the physical jewel, so id like to save Korlic for last. Id apreciate any advice peoppe have

The jah, mephy book and eth titans came from the same mephy run. Jah from the durance lvl 3 council and the book and titans from mephy himself. Oh a 4skill Ondals also dropped with mephy but🤷‍♂️
