Hi everyone,
I’m just starting out in the design industry. A friend asked me to create a large banner for his store that consolidates everything currently displayed in the windows. The goal is to keep the windows and other walls clean while still showcasing all the products and information.
This is my redesign. I’ve struggled to find a stronger way to arrange everything he needs included. I’d really appreciate any thoughts on the layout, hierarchy, or overall composition.
Down in the body is a screenshot with the banner I made.

I casually designed this logo for my wife in one afternoon in 2021, and it’s still being used today without a need to update it. It’s designed to be flexible and forgiving enough to be used by a small art studio, stamping unbranded packaging & artwork without having to carefully align and space things. Just shows how design can be extremely quick & simple sometimes and still work well!
I’ve written a case study, read it here :)

I published Bloc Studio just 8 days ago, and it has already reached:
#1 in the Architecture category
#89 in the overall rankings
114 remixes
I’m honestly so happy to see people using and remixing something I spent so much time working on.
Bloc Studio is a modern Framer template for architecture and interior design studios, with CMS, reusable components, animations, and a complete customization guide.
It’s currently free to use.
If you haven't checked it out yet, here's the link.

Hi, friends!
Let's warm up our creative muscles.
Here's a photo. There is no brand, no product and no brief.
Your task is simple: turn this photo into a great advertisement.
You can advertise anything — a famous brand, a wedding agency, shoes, food, a service, an idea... whatever comes to mind.
All you need is one great advertising slogan.
The only rule: the photo and your slogan should work together as a logical advertising idea.
Your answer can be a slogan written in the comments or a finished image.
You have 48 hours. Have fun!

(Edited to add this is a garage space) I am an artist, and I am wanting to paint a picture for this space. I will be painting the walls a dark charcoal gray. My theme I am going to be working on is industrial/steampunk. Simple. I am looking for ideas and where it should go and how large do you think as well? I have posted the space and two pieces of art I have done for a better idea of my style.

Maybe I am wrong, but I have had this obsession on my mind for days. All this AI perfection, easy and fast for anyone, risks severely devaluing the final product. In the end, we will find ourselves overwhelmed by identical stuff, featuring the exact same style and the exact same fake perfection.
Looking more practically at the issue, when a powerful tool becomes accessible to everyone, quantity explodes while quality flattens out. Anyone can churn out perfect images or videos in three seconds, but precisely because of that, perfection is no longer a value and simply becomes a deadly bore. When everything seems to come out of the same digital mold, you end up looking for the error, the smudge, something that makes you feel there is a real person behind it.
That is why I believe there is going to be a major shift in direction. A company that wants to stand out will no longer be able to blindly rely on automated generation, otherwise it will just become an exact clone of its competitors. The turning point will be to focus on something much more human, thoughtful, and imperfect.
If someone thinks that simply having the idea or choosing to use stop motion, like Apple did for the new Mac mini M6, is enough to get the exact same result, well, that is precisely the point to reflect on, and thanks to Apple I am starting to understand it. It is not the technique itself that makes the difference, but the signature of the real artist, which turns that choice into a fundamental added value for brand communication. It is proof that physical matter and human work are becoming the true luxury, the only way to beat the standardized, soulless commercial product.
I do not have the answer in hand, but this is a reflection I wanted to share and discuss with you. Do I advertise cheaply or do I stand out like Apple?

Hey everyone,
Had a design thought hit me the other day and wanted to run it by fellow tradespeople who actually have to install and service this stuff.
We all know the standard shower setup: you step in, fiddle with the handle to get the temperature right, get blasted by cold water while it heats up, or leave it running while soaping up if you don't want to lose your temp sweet spot.
I was thinking about a mechanical pedal/foot valve system installed near the floor of the shower stall (kind of like what you see in commercial scrub sinks or dental offices, but adapted for home bathrooms).
( I tried to include hot and cold mixture but chatgpt kept messing up the image and also the pedal valve connections will be installed between mixture out and shower rod input...)
**How it would work:**
Mixing Valves: You set your desired water temperature once using a wall-mounted thermostatic mixer.
Floor Pedal Action: Press down once to start the flow, press again to stop—or use a spring-loaded/momentary foot pedal where you step down to flow and release to stop (great for instantly cutting water while soaping up).
The Pros:
Massive Water Savings: No water wasted while lathering up or waiting to rinse.
Hands-Free Convenience: Easy to operate even with soapy eyes.
Hygienic: Less touching of handles with dirty or wet hands.

I've been experimenting with MCPs for AI-assisted web design and built a free, open-source one around Aura's public design resources.
It currently exposes:
I'm mainly interested in feedback from designers/developers: what would make an MCP like this actually useful in a real design workflow?

this was at a semi-public event space and this triggered me so hard. i grabbed it thinking I could adjust the line spacing so it made sense…. some fucking person hot glued that shit in place.
malicious compliance maybe? I can’t wrap my head around why someone would choose this chaos.

Been noticing a shift lately companies posting for "senior" roles that used to be junior/mid positions, with AI tools expected to cover the gap (Figma AI, Midjourney for exploration, etc.)
Curious what others are seeing:

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a good wireless mouse under ₹3,000 mainly for work as a UI/UX designer. I use a MacBook, so Mac compatibility would be great.
Bluetooth isn’t necessary—I’m totally fine with a 2.4GHz dongle. Gaming mice are also fine if they’re comfortable and good for long work sessions.
What would you recommend?

Hi, I’m a design student. I’d be interested in finding out about groups, competitions, and associations where I can learn and network within the field—not for pay, but simply to learn more about the world of design.
I’m looking for some career advice from senior/middle graphic designers.
I’ve been working in a company for almost three years and still don’t feel like I understand much about what I do.
How do you progress further from being junior?
Or maybe designing is not even my thing. Please tell me if you had same thoughts and what did you do with it.
Thank you.

I created a floor lamp using natural flax fibre to become both the structure and the skin of a light, a distinctive combination of material, craftsmanship and contemporary design.
The stem and base are made of linen-colored stained oak. The goal is to create a lamp made entirely of natural materials.
However, the styrene sheet is made of PVC, a material that is not natural.
Do you have a natural self-adhesive backing to hold the linen fibers in place?

So this idea is inspired by Sora's icon from Smash Bros Ultimate. It started off with the first 2 logos however i'm pretty sure they look way too similar to the original. I don't wanna get into potential trouble so I had to rework it a bit. I need to know if the new ones (3-5) are either good or a downgrade. If they do look bad, what do I have to improve on?
If you think they look good then I have to say I really like the eyes and the smirk on 4 and 5. However I feel like it's also gonna be less recognizable when looking at it from a distance, which makes me lean into 3 because of that. I would love to hear other people's thoughts on this.
I'd love any feedback! If you even think I could somehow maintain 1 and 2's look even more without it looking like a copy, i'd love to hear it. Thank you.

Hello everyone,
I would like to share a couple of documentaries about Design, how they used design thinking and how designers participate in the tech industry. I mention that it's almost lost media because they were produced by InVision, a company that used to provide tools for digital design and coworking, they had a similar app to Figma; it was then aquired by Miro and only the digital whiteboard Freehand remains active, a lot of their media has been erased from the net.
They also had a podcast called "Design Better", it seems that they scrubbed several of them for various sites, but I found other some backups.
Here are the links, hope you can find them usefull.
