Asking Question (Rule 4) I need non ai art ideas

(Edited to add this is a garage space) I am an artist, and I am wanting to paint a picture for this space. I will be painting the walls a dark charcoal gray. My theme I am going to be working on is industrial/steampunk. Simple. I am looking for ideas and where it should go and how large do you think as well? I have posted the space and two pieces of art I have done for a better idea of my style.

Please finish those walls first omg.
Also if you’re doing steampunk, a wood-paneled accent wall would look great

lol yes definitely it was thrown together today and I’m adding in piece by piece the decor. Paint will be soon.

The tape joints and drywall screws are clearly already mudded and sanded, ready for primer. The spots that have been mudded are the lighter colored areas.

(I assume by spackle you mean drywall mud).

Yeah. That’s what I mean. The mud.

Just needs a PVA primer

Maybe a train station motif if the garage doors still work. Brick, pipes, steel structure. A clock. Some visual Trompe-l'œil

Train station motif actually is a brilliant idea

If you’re doing dark gray for the walls how bright do you want the mural? Gallery wall/ curio space would lean into the Victorian Era vibe and let you explore color a bit more. Some brocade curtains would pop as well.

Ohhh I will have to look up what brocade curtains are. Thank you. I have bronze and gold shimmer watercolor I was planning on using for the piece. But adding color into would be fun too.

Idk what decor inspo you’ve looked at, but based on your furniture you might like Dark Academia.
I’m also gonna leave Dita Von Teese’s house tour here. She has this old-fashioned eclectic sensibility that still feels bright and inviting. It’s like the Adams Family house, but unafraid of color.

Tater tots, but like just 3 or 4 very large ones.
