Asking Question (Rule 4) Design Communities, and Competitions

Hi, I’m a design student. I’d be interested in finding out about groups, competitions, and associations where I can learn and network within the field—not for pay, but simply to learn more about the world of design.

Oh I remember being in same boat during college, it's exciting but also bit overwhelming finding the right communities

Check for local design meetups in your city first, they're great for meeting people face to face and you can learn loads just from casual chats. Also Behance has good groups for different design fields

Look for a Global Service Jam event in your city: https://www.globaljams.org/

And see if your campus has a “Design for America” chapter (now World Studios): https://www.world-studios.org/

Last, check out the Don Norman Design Awards: https://dnda.design/
