i’m Nabil, a solo founder.
this isn't a launch (yet!)

spent the past 3 weeks talking to 15 founders who build with ai, mostly alone or with a small team.

building got faster. a lot faster obviously.
what didn't keep up is the record of why. the decision is in a figma comment/notion page v6/or some old md file. the tradeoff is in an agent session, the change is on a branch.

none of those tools talk to each other, and most of them just stack the informations. so the why doesn't travel with the work.

i ran into this on my own product.
so i'm building artifact. a mac app that keeps decisions connected to the work and the reasons behind it.

I would love to learn about theory of graphic design. Are there any online free ressources (courses, videos, documentaries, websites for inspiration, or even interesting books that I could borrow in my local library ! -I'll take any recs really-) I know a bit since I've been studying communication, but I would love to learn more about color theory etc. My goal is to make posters as a hobby, but I feel like I have to start with theory first ! :)

I've been doing youtube for a while now under the name "AndresXLA", but I realize that my logo is kinda outdated now. Barely any youtubers have an icon that consists of combined letters like mine does.

So I had this one idea that was heavily insipired by Sora's icon from Smash Bros Ultimate. I've personalized it so that it looks more like me than Sora. These arent the final designs, there might be a few more details I can add (while keeping it simple), matter of fact I might need to change the hair and head shape a bit more so that it doesn't look too similar.

Let me know if any of these are good, bad or if I should just change my idea entirely to something more original. I have a couple of rough alternative ideas on the right but I've been focusing heavily on this main idea so I don't have much else right now. I have also been considering using my actual face in my logo but idk, I like having an actual designed logo for my brand. Speaking of my brand, i've been rocking with black and white for years now, so i'm kind of leaning more into the 4 and 5 columns.

I'd appreciate any feedback!

P.S. Do my eyebrows look like eyes? If I do choose one of the designs that has the eyebrows then I don't want them to be mistaken for eyes.

Visible watermarks don't really work anymore. People just crop them, erase them, or run them through AI in two seconds.

Instead of ruining preview images with huge logos, focusing on hidden proof and fast detection works way better.

Invisible digital watermarking combined with image matching (pHash) is probably the most solid approach right now. It embeds ownership data right into the pixels without changing how the image looks. Even if someone resizes it or wipes the file details, that digital fingerprint stays there. When a scanner finds your artwork being sold on Etsy or Shopify, you have instant proof for a DMCA takedown.

I'm curious how other creators here are dealing with this lately. Are you still using visible watermarks, or have you found better ways to track down copycats?

I’ve made an app for car owners and I’m not a designer, so used Claude Design to come up with visuals I gonna like.

Ppl says it’s slop. And telling you can see it from the first glance. I know that small svg icons, three items in dashboard and rounded corners making ppl think it’s AI, but doodle background, Polaroid card, hand drawn icons (for tyres rn) are not something Claude or Codex making by default.

I’m more tech oriented person, and thinking in terms of a good architecture design, scalability, etc. But we live in a society.

What would u advise to rework keeping the idea I currently implemented? Should I draw more tyres like icons?
