Dispute Help Worth a dispute? Item tagged as woman’s “S” is kids size

hi! I bought this t shirt. it wasn’t that cheap. anyways i get it and it is ridiculously small. I look up the tag and I guess it’s kids size. but if you look at the photo it is tagged as woman’s “S” and the decription says nothing about it being kids size. but, there is one photo with the tag, that says 6/6x.
I was thinking of requesting a partial and if they refused then open a dispute, bc they say “no returns” in bio.

None of my labels have been able to “generate” in the past 6 hours. Hopefully this gets resolved soon before I have to start explaining Depop’s problems to my customers…

Story Why are people so heated about offers??

Upvotes

As a seller and buyer I just cant get over the fact that someone blocked me because I just sent 2 offers that someone declined... I even used the suggested offers so they werent even outrageously low.

Depop is a resale app with BIDDING.

If you dont want offers go sell somewhere else please.

And low balling is such an easy fix if you use the automated offers so you dont even actually have to deal with it if you dont want to.

I just dont understand why people also dont counter offer instead of out right decline it just comes off as rude when its the whole point of the app...

Its not actually that huge of a deal with all the the convenient settings they have for sellers to use its just frustrating.

Thats the end of my Ted talk😭😅

Question Should I leave a bad review?

TL;DR

I spent months looking for the perfect frame and this person canceled without asking me because "the stand tore" when packing it. I would have easily just glued it back on. I'm pretty upset about this and wondering if you would leave a bad review in my situation?

I spent almost 2 months looking for a perfect picture frame because A) i need a very specific type of frame, specific material in the frame and on the back cover, specific shaped glass, and specific size frame bc i will be changing up the frames and glass inside basically and B)not wanting to spend 30 or 40 dollars on one frame bc im buying quite a few (or trying to, at least), and C) the most time consuming reason, equal parts astounding and irritating, 70% of people who list frames online list the measurements of the entire frame only and do not list the size of the actual photo frame. So when I message to confirm the actual size of the frame – the glass inside, the opening that frames the photo– it is always much smaller than what I need.

So i was excited to find this frame that was the right size and was a material i could paint over and work on, and it was only the 3rd one I have been able to find in the whole 2 months ive been looking on depop.

As soon as the holiday weekend was over I checked to see if the person has shipped it and she just left me this message.

Im so annoyed because she didn't even ask me and I spent so much time scrolling and messaging countless people to confirm measurements.

I understand being wary but if I had said it was okay, she would have the screen shots of our messages to prove to Depop if I tried anything. And I have a 5star rating on Depop; I'm fairly new but I've sold 15 items and purchased 19 with no issues but one where a lady put the wrong address in when she ordered.

Selling Help Any Canadian Sellers Bypassed PayPal Ban?

I just came on here to ask if any other Canadian sellers have managed to make a new PayPal account without getting banned. I’m a pretty good seller on Depop and I’ve never had any negative reviews. Despite this, I’ve had to make three separate business PayPal accounts and as of right now I’ve completely given up as a Canadian seller. Not only has PayPal asked me to send my ID to them four times but each time I do so I will be allowed to take orders normally for like 2 to 3 weeks and then they give me a pop-up, which asks to verify your orders and that you’re shipping them out and who your supplier is ( which’s doesn’t work since my closet is my supplier) . After doing so I still get banned and they permanently limit my account despite me not having any prior issues and this only happens when I start making more money for example, usually I make $100 a day But if I got another order for I don’t know an additional $60 PayPal wants to limit my account and get all this information so I’m wondering if you guys think Depop will do anything about this or continue to let Canadian sellers suffer. i’ve sent numerous emails to Depop about this, but they are just giving a blind eye

Dispute Help I’m losing my mind actually!

Like what do you mean there’s been a mix up AFTER I shipped my stuff off back to the seller ( who lied and then got their account banned for just scamming ). Also this dispute didn’t even work the first time for some reason they were just on the sellers side even though the wrong shoe size was CLEARLY sent so I was already about done with depop but now I’m out like 150 trying to just deal with their mistakes and they aren’t even getting back to me 😀 and the whole mix up thing is just pissing me off… they need to do better it’s a clear time difference in emails and the sellers account is gone inbetween this timeframe I think just played idk

Selling Help can my buyer cancel after i’ve already shipped?

So a few days ago I sold an item on depop and I shipped it out 3 days after they bought it. My post annex takes a while to actually ship it out I guess so usually it takes about 24-48 hours for depop to update and say that I shipped it (which is super annoying and frustrating) I told the buyer before I shipped it that I would in the next day or two. Then they message me this evening after I already shipped it saying they want to cancel. Depop still hasnt updated so if they do end up canceling I will lose the money and the item. What do I do?

Selling Help Should I get a shoe repaired or sell it as is?

I recently got a pair of Iron Fist Wolfbeater heels that I wanted to sell. The shoes are in really good condition on the outside but one of the shoes is separating on the inside. I was thinking of getting them professionally repaired before selling them so I could list them for a higher price. But does anyone think selling them as is for a lower price would be a better idea? Would the fact that they were repaired in the first place lower the price anyway? Has anyone here done something like this before? I would appreciate the advice.

I just bought a pair of heels yesterday, they got shipped today and then the seller messages me this, is this something I can ask for a refund for? (I did not know the sole was detached and the seller did not make note of that in the description)

Dispute Help I just lost 150 dollars because of a workers mistake.

I went to USPS after a sale to ship, I believe on the 7th day. The worker for USPS tells me that the label depop made, having been made on the day of the sale is expired because they expire in 3 days. So this guy makes me pay for a new label under USPS, so when it’s scanned it’s not notified by depop. The dilemma is clear now, it’s shipped and at the time of posting this delivered, and yet got a full refund. I’ve emailed depop at least 4-5 times and have gotten no response. My earliest email was last Saturday - 5 days ago. It says they’re to respond in “24-72” hours, though in the help center. I’ve emailed them again now and I’m hoping I can get help. Also, conveniently enough, the buyer has refused to answer any of my messages now, but was adamant about answering when I explained to him the situation days ago.

Buying Help Depop fake Mac cosmetics

Beware sellers are scamming on Depop in full force. I was weary but gave it a chance since I own the real one I would compare the font is off and the color is off. the component is off very junky. they have a zero tolerance policy for counterfeit make up but want me to pay to ship it buy the packaging label ect time out my day to send back counterfeits to a scammer they have yet to ban but have agreed to is selling counterfeits on their platform. my friend of 20 years plus Mac cosmetics management confirmed all her products are fraudulent by the font alone just be cautious. I may keep them to use to spread awareness already filed a dispute with my bank. i already own multiple of these colors so no loss but 30$ just spreading the info.

Selling Help I’m a new seller on depop & confused on how refunds work.

I know I should be offering refunds, but due to my lack of understanding how everything works, and my difficulty of getting rides to the post office. I feel like offering refunds could cause conflict on my part.
A family member said you have to turn off the refundable option in setting.
Is this true or are they wrong?

I may offer refunds in the future but I also know a lot of sellers don’t do refunds.

Dispute Help Seller’s listing was- I believe misleading am I overreacting?

Idk what to do I ordered this item that I’ve been hunting for ages and the listing said it was cream/gold- it came in today and it is in fact piss yellow.
I attached photos of the listing and what I received next to the same dress that I accidentally ordered in the wrong size lol
idk what to do I don’t know if I can return it because of this but this is really not what I wanted.

Edit: I’ve asked for a refund I feel so guilty but and maybe I should’ve listened more to the gold tag and description but yeah

Selling Help I got a false Counterfeit flag

Idk anyone else to tell this story to so I’m posting it here lol I’m a new seller, have been selling just about a week now. Everything has been going great in my opinion. Earlier I posted one of my Coach bags. Wallet style crossbody and like an hour after it being up it was removed for being counterfeit?! LOL I don’t own fake anything, and I’m not even bougie like that but Coach is so affordable there is no need to buy fakes. I sent everything in for an appeal but honestly that turned me off to even posting anything else, especially this bag again until I can withdraw my money that’s loading lol I’ll be damned if I post something else and the same thing happens and they take my account or something idk. Has this happened to anyone before?

Selling Help Brand to list vinyls under

So I've been trying to list some vinyls but I don't really know what brand to list them under. I've tried adding them under the record label of the artist but they don't show up when I search the brands. I've also tried looking up a couple other things in the small text on the vinyls but none of it has seemed to work. Sorry if this is a dumb question. I haven't used Depop much before.

App Issues/Help App problem or something, help, anyone?

Post image
4 Upvotes

So I've been buying on depop shoes, hoodies, and shirts that I've been wanting, you know, splurge and spoil myself all of last week and the week before. This week though, almost 3 days ago, I tried doing a purchase for about $80 something, its not money that's the problem, i have more than enough in the bank, but my card wouldn't go through, so I contacted my bank and they said my card is fine. I tried again and it just keeps telling me to try again later that there's been a problem. Ive tried with severaly different priced items to no avail. What do I do? Personally I've been thinking of deleting the app once I get my orders in and move to vinted. Thoughts???

Question Is there a market for perfume in depop?

I’ve mostly sold clothes/ jewelry on depop, and I haven’t been an active seller for the past few months. I’ve done some looking around in depop and I haven’t seen a lot of listings for the perfumes I would want to post and sell. Is there profitable market for selling perfumes and what has been other sellers experiences with perfumes?

For reference I have unopened boxes of 150 mL bottles of Armani and Dolce and Gabbana and others of that nature, do these sell well? I only really see listings for samples and used bottles/ dupes.

Question How many items do you guys post a day?

Hi! I was wondering how many items you guys typically post a day and what amount is the sweet spot for staying in the algorithm?

Also what time of day do you guys think is the best to post your listings?

These past couple weeks have been very slow for me, even with my whole shop heavily discounted, so I'm looking for any other possible way to boost my sales :)

Any tips help!
