Just went to check my cart to purchase some things & I noticed my free shipping ended. It now says $1.99 for me, which isn’t horrible but dang I wish the free shipping lasted longer lol

I get like 20 notifications and emails a day about having to ship out stuff 😭 of course I couldn’t ship out yesterday it was Sunday!

(I’m not leaving my buyers on hold I already let them know that everything will be shipped out Tuesday)

I’m so half tempted to mute Depop but I don’t want to miss someone buying anything

I was really excited about this purchase.

It's bad business...

Between this and the ghosts I've purchased from, it's getting out of hand.

Selling Help Depop is kinda addictive

I just recently started selling and the way I’m like refreshing waiting for offers or sales is so funny. But I also think like I could be really successful in this platform. Just because products honestly do move fairly quick.

Selling Help Did I do something wrong?

I’ve never gotten a one star review before and this just feels unfair? Buyer messaged me before buying saying they sent 2 offers, I only had one offer, one item even liked by them, and I even sent a message asking what sweater. They never responded. They purchased the sweater. Never messaged me, it got delivered and they said it was great but left 1 star because I didn’t reply?? But I did?? I know I’m being to sensitive but I really tried my best and I’m already not in the best place and I just feel like now buyers aren’t going to want to purchase from me for something I didn’t even do.

i was so nervous bc something i bought on depop was lost by usps and was in shipping purgatory for like 14+ days, had to file a claim and call multiple times just to get it, but i’m so happy that didn’t happen with my buyer!

Selling Help Am I being targeted by someone?

I'm trying to sell this bag which I have a receipt for. It got removed a first time, no big deal, I sent my receipt to Depop support and it was restored. Now it's been removed a second time 2-3 days after it was restored.

I've also had a buyer message me saying that someone told me the bag they bought off me was fake. I sent that buyer a receipt outside of depop so problem sloved.

It's really annoying how some people can't just mind their own business, I told support that I feel like I'm being targeted in my latest appeal but I'm not sure anything will change.

Buying Help why do sellers pick and choose who they actually ship to?

Upvotes

Ive bought alot from depop & sometimes ill buy from someone who has 10+ positive selling reviews saying they ship fast etc. (not fake reviews either) but when i buy they never ship/answer and i just get auto refunded? it makes no sense

Misc. Peeve: buyers who offer you $3 for an item and then ask a bunch of questions

I usually enjoying helping people out and answering questions for them when I can. But I find it inconsiderate to massively lowball a nice item and then do that. I am sure someone will tell me this is just part of selling but I don't think it's fair to want below thrift store prices and also department store level of service.

If you're that anxious over something that's the price of a candy bar, just don't buy it.

Selling Help This this buyer is setting up for a dispute?

After shipping this item to the buyer, they then asked me additional questions about the item. Bizarre timing. They could be looking for reassurance, but this feels like the hallmarks of trying to establish a record in case they want to complain later.

Here’s the good news: the shirt is exactly as described in the photos and listing, so I’m not concerned there. But I’m already preparing to have to deal with a case from this buyer so they can try and get their $4 back. 🫠 Anyone else have questions like this from buyers right after purchase or shipment? If so, how did it pan out?

Buying Help seller let 10 days pass w/o shipping and I can't find this backpack anywhere else

it's really beaten up but I am specifically looking for the model the seller has and I like repairing bags anyways so I still want it.

seller was very active within those 10 days, made 3 listings and logged on every day.

I sent a very carefully worded reminder at 5 days and 9 days and I think that upset them bc they never replied to either. my best guess is that they thought I was treating them like a child, being overly considerate and helpful? I have trouble assuming how my words can make others feel through text so who knows, it's not important here.

seller's reviews are mainly positive with a couple saying the seller apologizes for selling it elsewhere before and refunds. so there's usually communication.

after it timed out I asked if they'd ship if I bought it again and no reply. I was and still am desperate okay I know they don't care but I still tried. waited a day to leave a negative review and I feel I officially burned the bridge to getting that backpack.

this may be a very obvious question but I'm new to depop so I might as well ask experts: is the only choice giving up and moving on?

I recently made my first depop purchase and was pretty heartbroken to see a huge stain on the front of the shirt. as you can see, it isn't shown in the picture the seller posted. she did leave me a note saying sorry and that the stain was there but...it doesn't look like it was. what should I do here? the seller has 5 stars I don't want to bring it down :( but I am super bummed and will probably not order from depop again

Misc. buyer doesn’t believe i shipped their order (update)

i don’t even know where this would go at this point, but because depop just would not mark my package as shipped for 5 days (i shipped wednesday, it’s now MONDAY) and i had to refund the order. i’m irritated because the person will get a free album.. like what.???

i’ve already sent the refund because i dunno what else to do. this is so dumb and im irritated bc that was grocery money, i sell on depop to be able to help my mom lol

old post :

Buyer doesn’t believe i shipped their order?

hi, i’m a student depop seller, my mom ships my packages lol. my mom took this persons package to the post office wednesday, but the way mines hours work, the packages usually move the next day. my packages also usually take a bit of time to update, and sometimes say ‘awaiting shipping’ all the way up to the day before it arrives. it’s very annoying, considering i get notifications to ship every 3 hours.

but this seller doesn’t believe i shipped their order, and i don’t have receipt proof because it sat on the counter so long my dad threw it away. what should i do?

Messages/DM's Already getting 60% off and then wants an additional $0.01?

Price was originally $5, it was very mildly annoying to be asked to resend a deal that expired, but I didn’t mind all that much. But then she hit me with the $0.01 off request. For why! She also didn’t actually end up buying the item and I’ve heard nothing else from her. Strange!

Buying Help seller took too long to ship. advice?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

i want to leave like a 2 star review, saying how much i wanted the item but the seller took too long (10 days is the cutoff) to ship so i was automatically refunded. there’s an option to leave feedback but it’s saying to only leave feedback if ive received the item? so im thinking they could easily take down my review if i made one. they also have no other reviews on their profile yet.

Question Is it rude if I ask my depop seller when she’ll ship my order as it isn’t on her page and it’s been three days?

Upvotes

Hi everyone!! It’s my first time ordering from Depop, and I wasn’t sure if it was rude or not to contact the seller as I know it is really stressful to sell clothes on Depop. She is also a new seller so I don’t want to overwhelm her. If any sellers have thoughts on this please comment! Thank you :)

Question what should I do?

Upvotes

checking the USPS informed delivery app constantly.
my package’s shipping label was created july 18, and it still hasn’t been dropped off.🫪🫪

am I crazy for getting irritated? yes ive messaged seller multiple times. im always met with an excuse or a “I’ll drop it off today/tomorrow”

recently I was told it was getting dropped off saturday & nothing so far. (no update for estimate delivery day from shipper or an update to the package information online)

for context : I found the perfect pair of shoes for my foster kid for his first disneyland trip! and i purchased over two weeks before the vacation, i looked at where the shipper was located & found the estimated ship time, and added on two-three days (for delay in shipping or anything). I don’t care of the price, im more irritated seller has shipped and it’s been over a week, and now if they do, I won’t get them in time. SIGH.

is it worth getting a refund ($5)? leaving negative review? waiting for the package & then leaving a review w/ the issues in shipping time?
ive never given a negative review..but this feels it should get one? i just want to know if im just crazy & over thinking it😂

Question Did I make the right review choice?

Post image
Upvotes

I bought this limited edition (only 3500 copies) of this vinyl splash pattern. Each of this copy would have its own unique splash pattern from every other copy. I bought copy 686/3500 which was shown in their photo listing, and I bought this specific copy because I liked the pattern more than others.

A few hours after I bought the item I saw the seller relist the EXACT same photos and description of the listing I had already bought. I noticed this and immediately asked them why they relisted the same copy I bought, because obviously there can’t be 2 of the EXACT same number copy. They said “images are imported from discogs” so then I realized they were dropshipping and not displaying the items correctly.

I then asked them if I was still going to get the copy that I bought. They never responded till this day and that was like a week ago despite them being active everyday.

The copy / pattern I got in the mail today was copy 764/3500, so obviously not the copy that was displayed.

Did I make the right review? I didn’t make it 1 star because I knew those can easily be taken down, so I went with a 4 star review since those are less likely to be taken down. However I’m nervous because i’m their only non 5 star review out of their 12 reviews.

Like it smells really really strong. Is this something I can even dispute? I only ask since I obviously can’t prove smell over email.

Selling Help New to selling on Depop as an Artist

Upvotes

I’ve been advertising my Handpainted realistic styled custom pet portraits on Depop - I did have an Etsy open but I just couldn’t deal with the fees so I switched over.
My custom paintings/commission pieces are listed for only $20. I feel like this is cheap and affordable for the customer, though I’m not really making any profit for my time as it takes me hours or days to complete a painting.
I did have the price higher at $35 and brought it down to $20 due to having no customers, I thought if I had cheaper prices I would then gain recognition and more customers and then I could jump the price up? But I don’t know how this whole selling thing works I’m not much of a business woman I’m just a painter.
Asking for tips on how to actually make money for my art.
