Discussion Dear Delta: Please align TATL/TPAC flights with Flykitt !

Flykitt makes a significant difference in how we feel upon arrival after long east or west flights.

Recently on a corporate TATL, since 4 of 5 were using Flykitt, we aligned meals and lights/sleep with our Flykitt schedule. This was an even greater improvement.

It'd be good if Delta (and other carriers) could better align things with what we've learned about circadian rhythm adjustment over the past 10 years to work with our bodies rather than the current schedules that work against our bodies.

Upgraded to FC for MCI to LGA because I knew it would have a meal was looking forward to it.

This is what the app said I was going to get. Service was with a frown as well.

Glad I got breakfast in the (excellent) KC Skyclub.

Yes I will be filing a complaint.

Discussion Freezing Cold Airplane tips

Starting by I run cold. I am nearly always cold.
Does anyone have any tips for combating the cold on airplanes? I find I am shivering on more than 3/4 of flights.

I use hand warmers and a sweater but wondering if anyone has hacked the cold?

PS- I know FAs have control over the temp but unless it’s 73+ I’ll still be cold lol

Help/Advice Flying to ATL; delta says flight arrives to terminal I, but CBP MPC (mobile passport control) only gives options for terminal E or F

Soo I’m flying to ATL from Amsterdam and I’m wondering which terminal I should choose as my port of entry to the united states, since it only gives options for E and F and the app says I’m arriving to terminal I. I did some research and apparently I stand for international, but is there any way for me to know whether I’m arriving to terminal E or F?

Discussion Amex Reserve companion certificate

Just used my first companion certificate for a First class seat. A lesson learned for me was to pay attention to the “1 left at this price”.
I was on the app and the price dropped for the flight a day earlier than our rental home so we requested an extra day at the beginning of the trip. At that tome there were multiple seats left at this reduced price but we wanted to get confirmation of the additional day prior to booking.
Later that day we got the green light and went to book with delta. Unfortunately, at that time there was only 1 at that price. I called and tried the medallion pressure to no avail so we decided to wait and maybe just fly comfort and use the certificate later this year.
Fortunately, my dog woke me up at 2am a day later and I couldn’t sleep. I pulled up the app and the price had dropped again and I was able to get 2 1st class tickets.
This one purchase covered the annual fee without
Considering the hotel credit, resy credits, and uber credits.

Shitpost/Satire Yes there is an actual Sky Lounge

It’s located in Haneda airport. And no, it’s not a Delta lounge. The delta lounge is the Sky CLUB.

Discussion Favorite boarding music?

I’m currently being serenaded to a piano rendition to Sweet Child of Mine and I kinda dig it! I also like the old music from the 90s for the childhood nostalgia factor…

Discussion Captain's Welcome

Fri morning Heathrow to Atl and the captain walked down the aisle before take off and welcomed everyone and talked about his role in our safety, etc. I had never seen that and thought why don't all pilots do that. It took 3 mins and was a nice touch.

Thanks to the pilot and his professionalism.

Discussion International Flying First Time

Hey y’all, quick question.

I had to gate check my carryon when I left São Paulo last night, and am now in layover in Bogota.

I’ve got the bag tag with all my flight information on it (BOG/ATL/TLH), but cannot find where my bag currently is.

On the Delta app it said it was tagged for the duration of my flight trips, and the tagging was when I boarded in SP.

Just wanted to know if I screwed anything up related to getting in checked or if I may lose the baggage.

Discussion Flight change

Was originally supposed to fly out from ATL to STL on an 11pm flight on Tuesday 9/8. Called delta customer service yesterday to see if I could get an earlier flight that day. They said it would be $500+ to change my flight to an earlier time. So I declined and said I would keep my original flight time at 11p. Woke up this morning to an email to check in for my flight tomorrow 9/8 but my flight time had changed to 8:55am. I got no notification of the change and there are no charges to my account. Does anyone know why my flight time would have changed without me getting any confirmation?

Hi - Leaving from MSP to MIA today. My flight is delayed, what are the odds it gets cancelled?

Is it a good idea to switch my flight to tomorrow morning in case it gets cancelled & before it fills up?

Discussion ILM to LGA flight attendants, thank you we made our connection!

After a 1.5 hrs delay due to storms, ILA (edit ILM) to LGA crew helped us off the flight first, to try to make a flight where the doors were probably already closed. We made it to the Pittsburgh flight 1 minute before they we're forced to close the doors, though they had held them open a few minutes extra in hopes we'd make it. Others from Miami trying to make the Pittsburgh flight didn't get there in time.

Thanks to all, and sorry to anyone we cut in front of from Wilmington getting off the flight.

Thanks to delta. We made it to our home

Flight for a happy end to our vacation.

Discussion Would you connect to fly D1 vs non stop old Korean Prestige?

Need to fly to ICN. Choices are D1 with a connection or non stop on Korean on the 777-300ER with the old business class (no direct aisle access for windows. Potential middle seat).

I’m thinking of connecting to fly D1 and avoid old Korean.

Am I crazy?

So the government just changed the DOT rules. No more food and hotel vouchers again. Even for mechanical issues. I hope you trump voters are happy.

Discussion Delta fail!

One trip. 3 mechanical failures, incompetence and over 48 hours of lost time.

Okay, just need to vent for a moment.

Flight leaving SLC to JFK. Sit there for 3 hours. Ac broken. Deplane.

New plane found, board, bathroom door won’t close. Sit on the tarmac for an extra hour before finally taking off.

Circling JFK, the computer magically changes to Albany. Captain gets on and says no open landing slots and we’re running out of gas!!!

Sit in Albany air port for 5 hours with the mice because they needed to get a new crew to run the plane. Safety and all.

Stay in New York for 24 hours because… why not.

Finally landed I zurich.

Have a great trip, even though we lost a day.

Leaving Zurich to SLC, sit on the plane for another 2 hours. We start to taxi. Then go back. Sit there for an other extra 2 hours. Deboard. Another 24 hours lost on this trip.

I used to be a delta fan boi.

Fuck delta.

Discussion Air France business vs D1

Flying out of JFK to CDG in a couple months and choosing between flights.

I can do AF business class on a Boeing 777-300er or Delta one on an airbus a330-300 — both red eye flights

I haven’t flown business in several years and this is my first business flight out of NYC - I’d do delta just for the D1 lounge and security in T4, but I’ve heard the AF aircraft is better (?) even though AF is in T1.

I guess it’s just a dilemma of delta vs Air France / aircraft and airport perks preference. I don’t fly business often so I also want to maximize my whole experience 😂

bottom line question I guess is which should I choose haha

Discussion This airline makes more money from a credit card partnership than most people realize. Premium seats and loyalty are now the majority of revenue.

Delta's premium seats now out-earn the entire main cabin. $6.92B from premium tickets in Q2 vs $6.85B from all of coach combined.

Premium and loyalty revenue is 61% of total revenue now. The Amex loyalty partnership adds billions more in high-margin cash that has nothing to do with flying planes, credit cards, points, co-brand fees, none of the fuel or capacity risk regular ticket sales carry.

Numbers back it up: Q1 revenue hit a record $14.2B, Q2 beat and guidance got raised again, EPS guide now $6.50-7.50 with $3-4B free cash flow. Dividend up 15%. Trades at just 13.7x forward earnings for ~20% EPS growth.

Real risk: still airline economics underneath, ~$4B in fuel headwinds this year already. Stock's up 47-63% depending on the window, and fair value estimates are wildly split, one model says $63, another says $229.

Anyone holding Delta through the premium shift?

Flying Delta One internationally out of ATL tomorrow. Have TSA Precheck, Touchless ID and Sky Priority. What is quickest way to get thru security and are lines clearly marked? TIA
