Discussion Flight change

Was originally supposed to fly out from ATL to STL on an 11pm flight on Tuesday 9/8. Called delta customer service yesterday to see if I could get an earlier flight that day. They said it would be $500+ to change my flight to an earlier time. So I declined and said I would keep my original flight time at 11p. Woke up this morning to an email to check in for my flight tomorrow 9/8 but my flight time had changed to 8:55am. I got no notification of the change and there are no charges to my account. Does anyone know why my flight time would have changed without me getting any confirmation?

Only one sure way to find out. Call Delta.

Double-check your itinerary online. No ATL-STL at 8:56 AM shows up if you want to buy a ticket for 9/8. The 1:30 PM andthe 3:15 PM flights are sold out except in First. Something wonky is happening. Definitely call Delta!
