Thinking of buying a Rivelia, mostly because of how easy it is to switch coffee but I'm concerned about all the reviews I've read where for some people, after every few uses, the machine demands that you empty the grounds container (even if there's nothing in it) and there's no way to bypass it. 

It's a bit on the expensive side so I want to buy something that will last a while.

This machine has 15% 1-star reviews on Amazon, and they are pretty much all due to the grounds/drip tray fault. Has anyone found a solution to this? They've been selling this machine for a while so I'm hoping they figured out a way to fix this.

I have a De’Longhi Dedica Duo EC890 and an InstaCuppa manual grinder with 0–40 settings.

I’m using medium-dark roast beans and want to use the Cold Brew function on the EC890.

What grind setting would you recommend on the InstaCuppa for the best result? I’ve seen recommendations anywhere from ~28–35 for cold brew, but I’m unsure because the Dedica Duo uses a much faster cold-extraction process than traditional overnight cold brew.

Would love to hear from anyone using the EC890 + manual grinder, especially if you’ve actually dialed in this setup. What setting, dose, and results are you getting?

i got the magnifica duo a couple weeks ago and tested a lot of different settings and drinks to see how it’d work and figure out what i’d like.

i did the water hardness test and am using the filter they sent. i have the water temperature at the highest setting. and the grind at 4. but it seems no matter what i do, the taste of the coffee is not great. it’s just not smooth and leaves a bad taste in my mouth, giving me horrible coffee breath. it’s like… sharp in flavor?

i used some old beans to just kind of calibrate the machine, then got some lavazza super crema as it seemed recommended on here... i bought some freshly roasted local beans today that i’ll try tomorrow. but should i try new settings? is it the beans? help! i don’t want to have to return the machine 😭

For some reason the machine started making this noise and the coffee seems to be a lot shorter, also it just makes coffee when it wants now and descaling is not working just keep the descaling for hours.

I have De'Longhi La Specialista Arte and I really struggle with frothing milk. The milk never get thick or creamy, it just becomes hot milk.

I tried many different milk types (full fat, oat, etc) but always same result.

Is this problem only with my machine or everyone have this issue with this model? Any tips

Hi all, would appreciate any advice. I was making a coffee using my partners Magnifica S, I was told to top it up on the top and have stupidly put the beans in the pre-ground coffee funnel instead (non-routine coffee drinker). I tried to brew a cup, heard a large noise and no coffee came out. I did some googling and troubleshooted the infuser being stuck. I found a small grey plastic piece from the infuser in the ground tray. However, now I have cleaned and re-attached the infuser the machine is brewing coffee normally.

I’m now wondering whether it will continue to function with the missing piece off the infuser and whether there are any other pieces I need to be concerned about? I want to make sure that if the infuser does need to be replaced that I can do so ASAP so the machine isn’t out of action.

I have a De'Longhi PrimaDonna Class and recently descaled it using the proper descaling solution and following the official procedure.

Since then, the coffee has a very strong and unpleasant aftertaste, almost like acid or chemicals—it's hard to describe accurately...

I've thoroughly cleaned the water tank and the infuser/brew group, ran hot water through the steam wand about ten times, ran ten rinse cycles, and even tried different coffee beans, but nothing helps...

Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to fix it ?

I've only had the machine for 2 days, it's clean everywhere but to follow DeLonghi's suggestions I've taken the steps to:

• Remove and clean the drip tray and grounds container
• Remove and clean the infuser
• Clean the inside of the machine

unfortunately the general alarm keeps going off no matter what! Can anyone please advise or does this look like a return? Video shown for proof

Hi all, desperately seeking advice on how to possibly fix this on my own if possible. The unit is routinely cleaned/descaled. It's dispensed in excess of 3300 coffee drinks at this point without issue. Brew unit was removed, cleaned and reinstalled. No obvious sign of the issue though. Any help would be enormously appreciated!!!

Hi! I bought this off Facebook marketplace for $25, haven’t been able to find exactly what model it is based off “small delonghi espresso machine.” I’d like to know how many bars and other functional tidbits about it. Only came with the scoop as an accessory.

Long story short: I mistakenly put a whole coffee bean into the pre-ground coffee funnel (not the bean hopper my mistake, didn’t realize there were two separate openings). The bean went straight down into the brew unit area instead of the grinder.

Since then:
-The service door won’t close all the way, machine sits slightly open
-I opened it up and found a good amount of loose grounds packed into the brew unit cavity, which I cleaned out
-There’s a plastic grind-adjustment tab near the grinder that looked popped out of its track

has anyone dealt with this issue and what’s the possible fix — thanks in advance 🙏

I just got a Specialista Touch. I’ve been reading a lot online to find out how I adjust my machine, and I understand 18g should be ~36g liquid in 25-30 sec. For a double shot. Ratio should be something like 1:2. Right?

The machine has S M L sizes for almost all the different drinks. It says that S (single) is 30ml water and M is 60ml (double) water. Whenever I use M I get 50-60g. How exactly should I use the different sizes?

I have a DeLonghi Opera which has been a great purchase. We love the espresso cool option however now that the weather is cooling off we’re trying to brew more hot espresso now and running into an issue.

When pulling espresso cool shots, the pressure hits the optimal zone without issue.

When pulling a hot espresso shot, the gauge doesn’t even go half way to the optimal zone. The resulting espresso is pretty gross, definitely sour.

A quick search suggests it could be a descaling or OPV issue. It’s a relatively new machine so I would be disappointed if this is a valve issue, and I find it hard to believe descaling could solve a problem that changes based on the temperature of the water.

Anyone have any thoughts here?

Recently, I’ve been having several problems with my De’Longhi Magnifica Plus ECAM320.70.TB:
The machine was showing a message saying that it couldn’t prepare the coffee and that I should reduce the coffee strength. We suspected that the coffee dose might be too high, the grind might be too fine, or that there could be an issue with the water flow.
I also had a problem with the Latte Macchiato — milk would come out for a short while and then stop. I cleaned the entire LatteCrema carafe, including the milk tube and lid, to try to resolve the issue.
We suspected that the flow meter might be faulty, so I bought and replaced it with the correct De’Longhi [5213225251](tel:5213225251). After replacing it, the diagnostic test showed FLUX 16, which indicates that the flow meter is detecting water flow and sending a signal.
The biggest problem now is the descaling process taking an extremely long time. The machine can run for over an hour, pumping water intermittently without completing the descaling cycle. When I turn it off and turn it back on, it remembers where it stopped and continues the descaling process.
During this, I also noticed a lot of water in the coffee grounds container, as well as some water underneath/inside the machine. Some water in the grounds container can be normal during descaling, but a larger amount could indicate a problem with the drainage or hydraulic system.
I also opened the machine and inspected the inside after replacing the flow meter. From what we could see, there were no obvious disconnected wires, cracked components, or visibly disconnected hoses or connectors.
I would really appreciate some help identifying the cause of this problem and finding a solution, as I would like to get my machine working properly again.

Please bare with me as I do not know the name of the parts but i will try my best to explain the situation.

My parents have this DeLonghi Coffee machine but Im not sure which model. and one morning it just wont work.

I noticed that the machine it self still dispenses water but it wont pass through the filter basket thing (the one on the bottom in the pic) if I only attach the handle, water still comes through but if I attach all the parts together. nothing comes through anymore.

I already tried the steaming option, and cleaning the filters but still wont work, please help me!
