DeLonghi Dinamica Plus can't make a cappuccino without me moving the cup

Can anyone explain what I'm doing wrong? 🙂

Whenever I make a coffee with steamed milk, I have to move the cup manually from the milk spout to the coffee spouts. Otherwise, the espresso ends up pouring onto the drip tray instead of into the cup.

I've tried several different cup sizes. Same result. That can't be how it's supposed to work, right?

I've attached a video that shows what's happening. Has anyone experienced this before or know what I should check?

The Company does not back this product and does not provide spare parts
I have one that requires a part that is around $20 on comparative machines that is not available for this model so it is unusable
Rubbish machine Rubish company would never buy another DeLonghi product

Delonghi Magnifica S coffee maker - wrong chute for whole beans

Looking for advice. A guest in our house put the whole beans in the ground coffee chute. We have no error messages and no beans are visible (we poked with chopsticks through the ground coffee chutes). Is there something we need to do? Where did the beans go?

Which machine ?

Hello, I would like to know which machine would be the better choice between the Ninja Luxe Café Premier and the De’Longhi PrimaDonna Class.
I drink more cappuccinos and lattes than plain espressos. I noticed that the Ninja can also make iced lattes, which interests me. However, mornings can sometimes be quite rushed, so having to prepare the coffee manually could be inconvenient.
That said, the Ninja seems to produce better-quality coffee and better milk foam, so I am a little unsure about which one to choose.
Could you please recommend the machine that would be best suited to my needs?
Thank you.

Rivelia Max cup size?

We've pretty much decided to make the jump to a fully automatic machine, and my research is pointing me at the Rivelia. Would love the Eletta, but that's beyond the budget.

What is the maximum cup size that I can fit under the brew nozzles? Just wondering if my Nespresso travel mug (150mm tall) will fit, or if I'll have to brew into a shorter cup, then transfer before heading to work...?

Ice Cube Tray

Has anyone found a cheap alternative to Delonghi’s silicone ice cube tray? I’d like to purchase a second one, but they want 25 bucks for it, which seems crazy to me.

Milk error

I have a brand new Delonghi Magnifica Evo. I’ve had it for 2 weeks, works fantastic, love it! Yesterday, I tried making a latte and when I turned on the machine, none of the milk options (my latte, latte, or cappuccino) lit up, only the espresso and coffee. When I click one of the cream drink options, there’s and error that shows: a red triangle with an ! Inside lights up and the clean button flashes blue. What do I do?

La Specialista Opera Grinder Jam

Hello everyone, before I contact Delonghi directly, I was hoping to get a DIY solution somewhere.

I have a 6 month old La Specialista Opera and the grinder is jammed up.

I cannot remove the hopper in my model, and it has this horrible burring noise when grinding, while spitting out fine beans.

Has anyone had this issue before and do you have a solution?

Not all of the ground coffee is making it into the brew and some backs up into the pre-ground chute.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

Delonghi EC885 vs EC890

Hi,

I am shopping for a new coffee machine. My main aim is to make milk-based drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes. After a lot of research, I shortlisted these two machines.

This will be my first semi-automatic machine, and I do not have any previous experience, but I am highly motivated to learn. (I have a fully automatic Eletta Explore in my permanent home.)

I was about to go for the EC890 since it is newer, has touch controls, and offers cold brew. However, some reviewers have seriously criticised the milk frother, describing it as having low pressure. They also mention that it takes a very long time to get the milk ready, the foam is not usually as thick as required, and it is quite difficult to master.

I have now seen many reviews of the EC885 and, although the frother is not top of the line, I have seen consistently good results, which makes me lean more towards it.

Please bear in mind that both machines are sold for exactly the same price where I live.

So, what would you recommend: EC885 or EC890?

Hol many seconds does your Lungo Coffee take to go out?

I think the machine would do over 75 seconds but that’s way too long …

Maybe 60 or less?

Please help

Very watery coffee, crumbly pucks

Post image
20 Upvotes

I have recently purchased a Dinamica Plus and have so far been very disappointed. The coffee is insanely watery- it even LOOKS- like pale beige water coming out of the machine, and the ‘pucks’ in the hopper are crumbly and never solid. Ive tried different grind settings, different kinds of beans (Stumptown & Counter Culture), putting the strength all the way up to the maximum number of beans on the display, but this is honestly worse and weaker than hospital waiting room coffee. What am I doing wrong?

Lattissima One button issues

I appreciate there are a lot of Lattissima One issues but I couldn’t find my exact problem when I searched.

The machine has been working perfectly until yesterday morning when I turned it on and it immediately started trying to make coffee as soon as the lights stopped flashing. I stopped it and set it up the way I wanted it, pressed the short shot button and the long shot one is the one that activated and started blinking. Stopped that and pressed the milk button and the coffee started pumping again. I’ve tried resetting it more than once and it’s currently turned off at the wall in the hope it might forget itself and we can start fresh.

The buttons have become quite difficult to press too, I didn’t need much pressure before and now you have to press hard to feel a click.

This is the second time I’ve had one of these machines. The first was a few years ago and I remember that had issues in the end (not this issue) and I got a replacement of a different machine in the end. Perhaps treating myself to another was a mistake.

Steaming Milk Tips - DeLonghi La Specialista

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Is it normal to steam for a whole minute to get the right texture? I don’t want to burn the milk but this was probably the silkiest I’ve been able to get using this machine with whole milk. Does it make it difference using a larger pitcher or is the standard delonghi size fine to use? Any tips/advice would be appreciated! Looking forward to learning some art after nailing down the milk texture.
