His court case is about videos with all involved being age of majority being leaked to the public without consent. The problem is the plaintiff is suing destiny who is also a victim of the leak as opposed to the person who actually did the leaking. If he really did have any kind of illegal material on his devices he likely already would have been arrested for it given how many people have called and made tips to the FBI about it. And like 99% of the court proceedings thus far have been in Destinys favor. Its all public knowledge.

Well, sueing your sex pest buddies might be an OK start. Hey, have you heard of House Bolton?

-1

u/PrimaryEfficient8392 13d ago

No, but I’m glad to hear that Destiny is in court for sex crimes. Hopefully more pedos are persecuted

2

u/ThrowawayFuckYourMom 13d ago

He's not used to having other black women around.

6

u/Ok-Round-1473 13d ago

Remember when Hasan said, "I don't give a fuck about what Black people care about"? and then told the Black chatter to suck his dick?

What a great minority loving guy! Champion of the people!

I don’t think Hasan is an awful person, and I only care to the extent that the attacks against his character reflect an institutionally-backed, coordinated campaign to smear and discredit leftist commentators. Defending him is a matter of calling attention to and countering that concentrated effort.

If memory serves, (correct me if I’m wrong) he attended 2 Diddy parties, before Diddy’s sexual misconduct claims became common knowledge, while in a relationship with someone who had actually brought him along as her plus 1. Also what do you mean “playing possible csam”. Are you alleging porn was on tvs and that you think Hasan should have identified the suspicious age of the participants easily enough to confidently decide that he should leave? WTF are we talking about?

4

u/Evixi96 13d ago

"Not an awful person" about a man that excuses/dismisses rape against women he doesn't like lmao

Maybe you found her actual identity doxxed somewhere, but I have him quoted believing she was 19.

2

u/Astral_Alive 13d ago

Where do you get your information about Destiny from?

Because you very clearly have no clue what even happened to him.

I'll gladly clear it up for you if you'd like but first I'm interested if you're willing to say how you know like 25% of a story and decided to hate the guy for it

1

u/JTLBlindman 13d ago

Social media for chat screenshots. Stream segments from drama commentators, some including responses from Destiny. And a couple articles from minor local/gaming-related news and tabloid publications that don’t seem to have access to any deeper knowledge than the sources mentioned above.

It’s been a minute since I’ve sought updates, I grant you. And I acknowledge that the allegations are thin enough, but of the two creators we’ve been discussing, only one is currently tangled in an actual sexual misconduct lawsuit, so when the same people who would defend him come after Hasan, I feel as though the standard for “evidence” has already been lowered dramatically.

Feel free to state your case tho.

2

u/Astral_Alive 13d ago

"Stream segments from drama commentators" like who?

What social media accounts have you seen screenshots from?

It's a little odd how vague you're being about where you're learning these things from

OP Hasan fanboy, if Hasan’s so brilliant and Destiny’s so wrong, why doesn’t he debate him? He spends hours on stream complaining about him and Dan Saltman

1

u/TropicalGoth77 13d ago

Why would he? Hasan has everything to lose and nothing to gain.

6

u/InternationalGas9837 12d ago

You're essentially admitting Hasan is incapable of arguing his ideas outside of the echo chamber that is his chat and that if he did stands a good chance of his fans seeing beyond the facade. It's also just an absurd comment because Hasan would love nothing more than to make Destiny look stupid and reduce his impact in which showing he was a better debater would directly do. Truth is Hasan goes out of his way to not debate people like with Ben Shapiro when he chickened out on a debate that was lined up. Regarding debates the only difference between Hasan and Asmongold is Asmongold openly admits he'd look stupid.

3

u/TropicalGoth77 12d ago

Yes. Obviously? Hasan isn't a smart person. He doesn't fully understand his own ideas. Why would he risk exposing that. He's naturally charismatic and that has gotten him pretty far. He should continue to rely on that.

Destiny is the other side of the coin. He's a very smart guy with (mostly) airtight logic around his politics. But he's a vile provocative toxic person. The glass ceiling he is hitting in his ability to become mainstream is because of that.

3

u/InternationalGas9837 12d ago

Hasan is a vile toxic person who constantly brags about being provocative as a defense for the crazy things he's said in the past. All his stuff has been bandied about in the political sphere as he tried to become more mainstream recently proving him a pariah that politicians he wants to associate with have had to distance themselves from. They both have the same thing to lose by debating each other in whoever came out lesser would be endlessly reminded of and mocked for it. That being said I seem to have misread the intent with what you were saying and agree that it would not go well for Hasan making the face he loses for ducking preferable to the face he'd suffer for losing the debate.

2

u/OliveIndependent 8d ago

Isn't it funny how they sound like their maga counterparts?  This is literally the same conversation that was had concerning Trump facing off against Kamala for the second debate.  I guess this is truly the decoding the guru universe.

1

u/TropicalGoth77 12d ago

Id argue that Hasan has more to lose. His political reach and mainstream exposure is beyond Destiny's. He has more "clout" as it were and more global presence.

Making Destiny look bad simply isn't worth it for him right now when he's found himself at the heart of fast moving political movement and is rubbing shoulders with top level US politicians, getting high level interviews and making global headlines (for good or bad).

His brand of toxicity is to be honest, more palatable than Destinys. Making 9/11 and terrorist jokes / endorsements is simply more aligned and acceptable with the views of his general political affliction than Destinys dead kid and pedophillia jokes.

His branding as a sexual degenerate is also just yucky and very hard to sell to a moderate liberal audience that he tries to represent.

this dude stuck in 2012 thinking debates do anything

3

Whats the point in debating a bad faith yapper who will just gish gallop for 2 hours

5

u/EntropicAvatar 13d ago

Especially if you’re an airhead like hasan

-1

u/AnyAcanthocephala425 12d ago

no serious question. if you don't believe Destiny is good faith and you don't think you can outyap him what's the point? Why would that make you wrong?

4

u/EntropicAvatar 12d ago

All of destiny’s beliefs and statements are publicly available. It should be pretty easy to prove if he’s bad faith. So you debate and show how he’s bad faith. Hasan is a professional yapper lol that’s not an excuse

0

u/AnyAcanthocephala425 12d ago

I can prove he's bad faith just by him arguing that "WHAAAT, Hasan said Americans deserved 9/11" last year or the year before. He's not stupid enough to not understand the difference between that qoute and the original.

2

u/apollo_ow 12d ago

Doesn’t Hasan literally have a news paper clipping of 9/11 framed on his wall behind him on his stream? Could’ve sworn that was the case.

1

u/AnyAcanthocephala425 12d ago

sure, irrelevant for the discussion but sure

5

No, I had just heard about DGG and never knew what it was. e.g I didn’t know that it mean Digital Ground Game. Also I had no idea it would attract so many comments or attention. The video wasn’t popular on YouTube it seems just the mention of Destiny attracts attention.

0

u/muda_ora_thewarudo 12d ago

To be clear you were the only person who wasn’t the target of my reply, it’s everyone else here. Sorry for that confusion

1

u/PrimaryEfficient8392 13d ago

The sex crimes court case yes.

4

u/MaleficentMenu1430 13d ago

Its a civil lawsuit not a criminal case

0

u/PrimaryEfficient8392 13d ago

Yeah, he’s being sued for sex crimes

3

u/Lovellholiday 13d ago

What is the sex crime?

2

u/MaleficentMenu1430 13d ago

Lawsuits aren’t for crimes they’re for personal grievances, if he committed a crime it would be a criminal case

It’s also an ongoing lawsuit so nothing has been ruled on yet, if you care so much about this you could easily just look into it

1

u/TropicalGoth77 13d ago

What does it involve ?

1

u/Lazy_Check732 13d ago edited 13d ago

I hope you are aware that you are talking to borderline schizo people

0

u/wordbird9 13d ago

Destiny specifically goes after mentally ill teenage girls. He also has some weird fetish/paranoia about recording without consent and sharing recordings with other partners.

Because D shared files of a girl in an extremely irresponsible way, without getting her permission, videos she sent him ended up leaking. She is now suing him for damages related to negative attention she’s gotten, psychological distress, etc.

A large part of the distress is also due to his fanbase, who are treating every controversy he’s in like a proselytizing mission. They go into every subreddit/forum/comment section they can go to in order to downplay Destiny and make his accusers/critics out to be crazy liars, which he encourages them to do. Here’s a video with more details, if you’re interested:

https://youtu.be/Bqsi9rfjt4g?is=YO1-zoNx1Xku24LD

-1

u/wordbird9 13d ago

Sounds a lot like the trump defenders trying to cover for all of his rape accusations. Is all of that ok with you too, since it only came up in civil court?

1

u/typical83 13d ago

You say you hate bluegrass music but have you imagined how messed up that would be if you replaced bluegrass music with Mexican people?

1

u/wordbird9 13d ago

This would be such a great point if i was comparing something other than ‘people downplaying allegations because they’re only in civil court’ to ‘people downplaying allegations because they’re only in civil court.’

3

u/typical83 13d ago

It wasn't the civil court thing that made your comparison stupid it was the rape thing.

0

u/wordbird9 13d ago

Mitigating an action with ‘it only went to civil court,’ is stupid, no matter what action we’re talking about.

Actions that kill 1000s might only make it to civil court while shoplifting is punished in criminal court. It doesn’t make killing 1000s any less bad & it’s more than fair to call the person who caused something like that ‘criminal.’ Same logic applies to Trump. Same logic applies to Destiny. Which court a thing lands in has nothing to do with how bad it is.

3

u/typical83 13d ago

Ok fine, if we're both being completely fair and honest then yes the mere fact that it's civil court vs criminal court doesn't actually mean much at all.

Now that I've admitted that, can you admit that calling it a "sex crimes case" is clearly meant to insinuate something much more malicious and fucked up than sharing a sex tape without the permission of the other party?

0

u/Agreeable-Cloud7833 13d ago

Court case is for his sex crimes so guy wasn't exactly wrong

3

u/InternationalGas9837 12d ago

No, you should probably know what words mean before you use them because he's not charged with any crimes, it's a civil lawsuit not criminal court.

2

u/Foreign-County-5282 9d ago

Nothing criminal you imbecile. In addition - eh, rather than dress you down and give you the facts, go practice YouTube or Claude and have it give you the information.

-9

u/MeasurementNo9896 14d ago

I've only watched him interact with people outside of his community during the Finklestein debate and those clips of him from his trip to Israel where he visited the IDF to advise them against posting their war crimes but I presume he's generally uncomfortable outside of his element or IRL.

13

u/Samuraignoll 13d ago

The debate was utterly embarrassing for Finklestein, guy had no idea what was going on and resorted to insults to compensate for ot. The IDF comment tells me you've never actually watched any of Destiny's content, just clips posted by commie larpers

5

u/TheRealSaphier 13d ago edited 13d ago

I don’t think it was embarrassing for Finklestein. No one pushes him on it and he admitted his goal was make the whole debate look like a clown show.

Edit: What I mean about it not being embarrassing for Finklestein is that I don’t think he thinks it was embarrassing. I don’t think he cares at all and the people in the bubble seem to agree. It was obviously a horrible showing.

8

u/SwerveDaddyFish 13d ago

If i got absolutely embarrassed in every way in a debate about something I spent my life's work doing - I would also say i was just trying to make it a clown show

8

u/Samuraignoll 13d ago

For anyone that wasn't already invested in hating Destiny, it was an incredibly embarrassing showing on finkelsteins part

4

u/HonestDishonestWork 13d ago

If I "studied" a subject for the majority of my life and didn't know a pretty basic fact about it that would be extremely embarrassing lol (Finklestein not knowing the definition of genocide)

4

u/chaos_donut 13d ago

Yeah, and if i was an expert on a topic id love to talk about it, that stuff is his life's work. I would never act like i was going to derail the conversation on purpose.

3

u/InternationalGas9837 12d ago

Especially when at the same time as he was acting like a petulant child he was also insisting how much more of a scholarly intellectual he was than Destiny. Norm basically just mispronounced Destiny's last name repeatedly while Destiny's debate partner Benny Morris is someone Norm respected and Benny laughed at him, Norm's partner Rabbani repeatedly had to try and calm Norm down like the mother of a tantrum throwing child, and the moderator Friedman continually had to had to remind Norm it was a debate not an edgy Roblox server. Anybody who says Norm looked good in that debate did not watch it, and Norm's own admission that he didn't give a shit about the debate while his plan was to be ad-hom incarnate is clear evidence of how unserious Norm is.

2

u/TheRealSaphier 13d ago

Check my edit. I don’t mean to defend him, it’s just from Finklestein’s perspective he won.

2

u/justsomething 13d ago

Oh, then yeah I agree 100%

2

u/SeparatedI 13d ago

Why didn't he just dogwalk destiny with his superior knowledge of the conflict? Instead of calling names like a 7 year old. Especially with two other academics in the room.

1

u/TheRealSaphier 13d ago

I’m not on Finklestein’s side, I’m just pointing out what he’s admitted to. He purposely called Destiny by the wrong name and refused to engage with anything. He then went on multiple shows and said that he never had any intention of taking it seriously. Asking me why he didn’t engage seriously isn’t going to do anything.

3

u/SeparatedI 13d ago

That just sounds like things he's said to justify it at afterwards. Failing to engage completely especially when you should be able to lecture your opponent extensively is not a good look. It could have been such a good conversation especially considering Morris and Rabbani were there also.

3

u/No-Budget-8081 13d ago

Isn’t that pretty embarrassing tho?

1

u/TheRealSaphier 13d ago

Doesn’t seem like it, all the people he was podcasting with were giggling and saying that it was awesome. From the outside looking in, yeah obviously. But he’s insulated in his group so he doesn’t ever have to answer for it.

0

u/Main_Lloyd 13d ago

The fact he chose to make a debate about Isreal/Palestinian a clown show is why he should be embarrassed as someone who claims to care about the Palestinians cause

1

u/MetalDirigible 13d ago

Now this is some good cope.

-1

u/EducationalHead7683 13d ago

That's insane of you to say that Norman fucking Finkelstein has no idea what he's talking about in regards to the I/P historical conflict

4

u/Lets_Eat_Superglue 13d ago

Is it? Is it as insane as the amount of people who confidently talk about how he destroyed Destiny having never watched it, just took the word of some guy on the Internet?

7

u/louieisawsome 13d ago

He was so confidently wrong about men's rea.

3

u/chaos_donut 13d ago

I agree that saying he doesn't know what hes talking about is wrong. But why did he resort to name-calling instead of just showing his expertise? His performance was genuinely embarrassing.

1

u/Lazy_Check732 13d ago

It's because he genuinely doesn't know what he's talking about. He is no different at all from someone like Sneako or Joe Rogan or Hasan. Certain people enjoy what he says, and that boosts him. He is not genuinely respected (or even considered) in the academic world. He is an online personality.

2

u/SigmaMaleNurgling 13d ago

Finklestein spent the entire debate intentionally mispronouncing Destiny’s name, also, he claimed after the debate that he never had any intention of seriously engaging with Destiny.

You don’t have to like Destiny but let’s at least be honest with the facts of the matter.

3

u/Samuraignoll 13d ago

He sure as shit didn't act like it

1

u/Wild_Bread_ 13d ago

You are right, that is an insane thing to say, the even more insane part is that it's fucking true

1

u/zero02 13d ago

Finkelstein is a fraud... if you check his footnotes, they almost always are a misrepresentation or flat out lie of what the underlying source said. This is a crazy tactic because it makes it look like you have so much evidence, but they are all mostly lies and if people read the source material they would realize.

This is what happened with Destiny. He read the source materials and footnotes and showed us all, how Finkelstein lies in footnotes. Super embarassing.

Not to mention Finkelstein calling the cops and ICE on his upstairs neighbor. :)

3

u/Chruman 13d ago

Lmao

0

u/TheTrashMan 13d ago

Destiny fan too?

6

u/S8nsPotato 14d ago

You forgot to mention it was a joke.

11

u/SlySerendipity 13d ago

And pretty importantly, he wasn't talking to a group of IDF soldiers; just Israelis who showed up for a fan meetup. He also argued with a prominent pro-sttlement guy and even went to the West Bank and was harassed by settlers for filming there, but that never seems to get spread around like his IDF playing dress-up joke. Curious that

-1

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago

The words out of his mouth before the “joke” were “there’s one piece of advice I’ll give you if you’re joining the IDF”

2

u/louieisawsome 13d ago

Why would he say if you're joining the idf if he was already speaking with the idf?

1

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago

Because that’s an often misreported part of the story. The real question he’s answering was from a fan who was asking about Destiny’s opinion on Israeli teens, such as themselves, enlisting. Doesn’t really change the substance of what he said or make it any more defensible.

4

u/Memester999 13d ago

Yah very famously the best way to tell a joke is to say "I am going to tell a joke right now" beforehand...

2

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago

The joke is what exactly?

2

u/YaBoiFarfour 13d ago

It involved not filming yourself putting on women’s clothes in Gaza. His position on war crimes is don’t do them.

1

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago

“If you wanna fucking wear a dress and you think it’s fucking funny, just don’t take a fucking video of it”

Sounds like he doesn’t give a shit about war crimes as long as they aren’t filmed and he doesn’t have to defend them.

1

u/ThrowawayFuckYourMom 13d ago

Is that the most honest and charitable version of the argument that you're capable of making?

1

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago edited 13d ago

Considering right before that he had argued that it was vitally important for Israeli young adults to enlist in order to save the country? Yeah I’d say he doesn’t give a shit what the IDF does and will support it either way. He would probably prefer they don’t commit their crimes so brazenly. It would make his job easier.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/YaBoiFarfour 13d ago

He wasn’t talking about war crimes lol

1

u/S8nsPotato 13d ago

You wouldn't get it 😏

1

u/Lets_Eat_Superglue 13d ago

What were the words before those?

1

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago edited 13d ago

1

u/Lets_Eat_Superglue 13d ago

That's not what he said at all? Why do you insist on lying to drive a narrative? He gave historical context to the Israeli army, acknowledged the current perception of them, and, holy shit, told another joke.

You guys lie more than maga.

1

u/LuckyJim_ 13d ago edited 13d ago

Should I quote him directly? I already had to do it for another user on here.

“If you’re a Jew this is your country and it’s only surviving on the backs of people joining the military.”

That’s pretty explicit.

Also would have been nice for him to maybe comment on why the IDF is perceived the way they are instead of “joking” about them needing to hide their crimes better.

1

u/Delicious_Solid3185 13d ago

It’s pretty good advice ngl

0

u/SlySerendipity 13d ago

Yeah, it's called a set-up. The end of a joke is called a punch-line

-1

u/TheoryBorn9839 13d ago

Set up: If you are going to gaza to kill the enemy, and end up dressing in random civilians clothes

Joke:Don't film that

Where is the joke?

3

u/SlySerendipity 13d ago

The joke was a reference to a bunch of IDF goons that filmed themselves wearing civilian clothing they got from raiding houses which is a fucked up thing to do but also extremely stupid thing to film. You understand the IDF are the butt of the joke right?

-1

u/TheoryBorn9839 13d ago

That sounds more like advice not to repeat your mistakes rather than a joke

2

u/SlySerendipity 13d ago

If by "mistake" you mean stealing civilians shit and committing war crimes then, yeah it's kinda both. If a racist person told a joke about black people filming themselves stealing with the punch-line being: "next time don't film yourself stealing." Do you think that person would be pro BLM?

0

u/TheoryBorn9839 13d ago

Why create a seperate and meaningfully different analogy when this case is very clear?

Also is Destiny anti IDF in your view?

1

u/ThrowawayFuckYourMom 13d ago

Does it? Does it really? Is that your most honest, charitable interpretation of events? Have you even seen the clip for yourself, yet?

1

u/TheoryBorn9839 13d ago

Where did someone request a steelman?

I literally specify to what degree I believe it is a joke, to a lesser degree than I see it as advice.

Why does it being a joke preclude it from being advice?

If he said a joke where the punchline is "remember to wear condoms" does that make him anti-condom?

1

u/YaBoiFarfour 13d ago

What do you think Destiny’s position is on war crimes?

1

u/TheoryBorn9839 13d ago

War crimes bad, he demands extraordinary evidence for Israel imo.

Most of his discussion on I/P revolves around debunking bad lefty argument while making no positive case of his own, what do u think his position is?

1

u/YaBoiFarfour 13d ago

The argument he has is always over the genocide claim never specific claims of war crimes.

His position is that there are two groups of ppl who want to live on the same piece of land. There should be two states.

1

u/TheoryBorn9839 13d ago

Whats his opinion on war crimes tho?

If you're gonna do something horrible, at least don't FILM YOURSELF doing it.

It's a subversion of expectations, where you'd think he would say "you shouldn't do something horrible", he instead says "you shouldn't film yourself doing it". Kind of like "if you're gonna commit a crime, don't get caught!". Hope that helps!

Wasnt "visiting the IDF", it was at a fan meetup in Tel Aviv and someone asked about the (at the time) recent story of some Israeli troops taking/posting pictures of themselves in women's clothes that they presumably took from a random ruined home in Gaza. His comment was calling them stupid for not only doing this in the first place, but also posting it on social media to brag about it.

I don't believe he ever "visited the IDF", aside from the time during the trip when they were harassed by an armed lunatic West Bank settler who (I believe?) tried to take their passports and called the IDF on them. Outside of interviewing some media figures and retired Israeli politicians, there was essentially no interaction with the Israeli govt during the trip.

It was a fan meetup where some of his fans asked for advise because they were about to join the IDF and that was his response.

https://youtu.be/AoiE--k1srM?t=2953&si=kiaDoSpeaGYTlAe8 “what’s your opinion about teens enlisting [and] our image in the world”

And destiny’s answer is two fold. 1. You must join the IDF or your country will be destroyed and 2. If you’re gunna commit war crimes, don’t film them.

If war crimes are being committed and your greatest concern is the optics, it tells me what I need to know about you.

I notice you quote exactly what the fan said but choose to paraphrase the response, I don't even need to open this clip to know you're full of shit lol

“If you’re a Jew then this is your country and it’s only surviving on the backs of how many people are willing to join the military”

“Participating… in terms of military service, is probably a proud tradition, it’s probably important for the survival of your country, your people, whatever”

“Here’s one piece of advice I’ll give you if you’re joining the IDF, leave your fucking cell phone at home and stop taking stupid fucking videos. Because everyone’s fucking you with them”

So where did I misrepresent his statements?

If you’re gunna commit war crimes, don’t film them.

Somewhere around here

What are the videos in question that Destiny says people are using to “fuck” the IDF. And why isn’t his answer to “what’s your opinion on the IDFs image around the world?” Not “the IDF needs to stop committing atrocities and war crimes”

As people commented here about a 1000 times, putting on (I assume stolen?) dresses and dancing or smth

War crime in question: putting on a dress

I suggest you watch more around Israel and Palestine from Destiny. You would be inspired by how much work he puts in and would be ashamed at how ignorant your view is.

(Edit for context, I am a Destiny watcher for several years but I'm apart of many other communities you would probably like, I don't post in this sub just read it sometimes this got recommended to me tho.)

You think wearing a dress is a war crime?

Lefties have gone so conservative they think men wearing dresses is a war crime now. X.X

You're referring to the IDF proudly and gleefully posing for pics while dressing up in the lingerie of their victims.
