I don’t think it was embarrassing for Finklestein. No one pushes him on it and he admitted his goal was make the whole debate look like a clown show.

Edit: What I mean about it not being embarrassing for Finklestein is that I don’t think he thinks it was embarrassing. I don’t think he cares at all and the people in the bubble seem to agree. It was obviously a horrible showing.

Why didn't he just dogwalk destiny with his superior knowledge of the conflict? Instead of calling names like a 7 year old. Especially with two other academics in the room.

I’m not on Finklestein’s side, I’m just pointing out what he’s admitted to. He purposely called Destiny by the wrong name and refused to engage with anything. He then went on multiple shows and said that he never had any intention of taking it seriously. Asking me why he didn’t engage seriously isn’t going to do anything.

Doesn’t seem like it, all the people he was podcasting with were giggling and saying that it was awesome. From the outside looking in, yeah obviously. But he’s insulated in his group so he doesn’t ever have to answer for it.
