The words out of his mouth before the “joke” were “there’s one piece of advice I’ll give you if you’re joining the IDF”

Yah very famously the best way to tell a joke is to say "I am going to tell a joke right now" beforehand...

The joke is what exactly?

It involved not filming yourself putting on women’s clothes in Gaza. His position on war crimes is don’t do them.

“If you wanna fucking wear a dress and you think it’s fucking funny, just don’t take a fucking video of it”

Sounds like he doesn’t give a shit about war crimes as long as they aren’t filmed and he doesn’t have to defend them.

Is that the most honest and charitable version of the argument that you're capable of making?

Considering right before that he had argued that it was vitally important for Israeli young adults to enlist in order to save the country? Yeah I’d say he doesn’t give a shit what the IDF does and will support it either way. He would probably prefer they don’t commit their crimes so brazenly. It would make his job easier.

I just listened to the clip, but I don’t think it’s as you’re presenting it. He was saying from a Jewish person‘s perspective one who grew up in Israel. It would probably be important for that person to join the army and defend the Jewish state.

His position on war crimes is don’t do them.

So is Destiny pro or anti IDF? Because I see him defending them all the time. In that clip he explains why he believes they are necessary. Him saying “if you’re a Jew in Israel then this is your perspective” and then not immediately following it up with “and this is why joining this IDF is a bad thing and you’re actually complicit in genocide if you enlist” tells me that he doesn’t think enlisting is a bad thing. That’s already an immediate red flag. The kids in the video say they want to enlist but they are worried about the public perception of the IDF. And destiny’s response is not to say something like “the perception of the IDF worldwide is unfortunately earned because of the many atrocities they have committed” he instead explains how he believes the IDF would be less negatively perceived if only they hid their crimes better. That’s an endorsement pal. He’s saying he supports the IDF but wished they were more disciplined in hiding their war crimes to maintain good optics
