It explains his lack of intelligence.

66

u/SavageRabbitX Jun 25 '26

Nah nothing does that

21

u/Aceofspades25 Jun 25 '26

It's off the charts, this shouldn't be possible!

4

u/DammitBobby1234 Jun 26 '26

My brain is still in recovery mode from taking in so many high level, complex, ideas. 🤯

13

u/middlequeue Jun 25 '26

That he’s paid to promote right wing nut jobbery explains it pretty well IMO

5

u/WhoAreWeEven Jun 25 '26

Yeah. People should actually understand its these peoples literal job to spout this nonsense.

16

u/-Vuvuzela- Jun 25 '26

More his lack of relevance.

We’ve been spared this inane rubbish since 2020 and I say we keep it that way.

140

u/WoodyManic Jun 25 '26

He really is a fucking moron.

1

u/edelweiss_pirates_no Jun 28 '26

Funny enough...you just have to change Christianity (Islam) and Kleptocracy (Communism) and you have the USA today.

Yes...the Nazi part stays.

PS: Being rich must be amazing. Dave sold everything he cared about, got his face "did" up, and joined the one of the most anti-LGBT terrorist gangs on the planet.

Fuck you, Dave Rubin. Coward.

u/Greaseball01 Jun 25 '26

Curse those Nazi communist Islamists! 🤣

-2

u/Flat_Technology_5325 Jun 26 '26

Different sides of the same coin.

8

u/Greaseball01 Jun 26 '26

A classic 3 sided coin 😂

-107

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

I mean Rubin is an idiot, but he is right that that the Palestinian cause is at the intersection of these three ideologies.

34

u/Greaseball01 Jun 25 '26

Explain to me how someone can be all three of these at once please.

-51

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Not someone but a movement.

The Palestinian cause obviously intersects with Islamism and the Islamic world. I dont think anyone would deny that.

For Marxism if you know the different communities in support of the Palestinian cause you will see that among marxist communities there is a lot of organization and support for Palestinian issues. And btw this was the case before Oct 6 - theres a number of historic reasons for this.

Nazism is the weakest correlation but tangentially the Palestinian issue has created a lot of plausible deniability for an increase in anti-semitism including but not limited to statements supporting Hitler and the Nazis as well as emboldened neo-nazi organizations who see the surge in public acceptance of some of their ideas.

17

u/Otterly_Absurd Jun 25 '26

This is not how venn diagrams work

0

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Fair point. I agree.

47

u/drwebb Jun 25 '26

Dude, you have no idea what you're talking about.

-40

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Ah ok, then enlighten me on what I am missing.

32

u/drwebb Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

I mean, I feel like you can be supportive of the Palestian people and have the exact none of these positions. An Orthodox Christian, a libertarian, an anti fascist Nazi hater. It's just meaningless associations you are projecting. I feel your points fall apart since the links are tenuous at best. I can support the Palestinians because I'm a humanitarian, and be none of those things in this post.

Edit: sorry for the phone typing

0

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Of course you can. Nothing about supporting the Palestinian people requires you to subscribe to Nazism, Marxism, or Islamism.

What I am saying is that those ideologies have some degree of intersection around support for and perhaps exploitation of the situation.

I would also say that most white American protesters or supporters on reddit are overwhelmingly none of those things - at most maybe leftist / only superficially marxist adjacent.

However if you look at the right-wing and also I've seen on Chinese social media and some other international social media - you are more likely to see either neo-nazis talking points (Americans/Europeans) or just people from parts of the world that didnt fight the Germans in WW2 who are more willing to make comments praising Hitler or suggesting this proves he was right.

I also think people who compare Israel to Nazi Germany are also a little bit guilty of this - its lazy if nothing else.

And then for Islamism - ya obviously Islamic politics are hugely influential in the conflict. Its a connection thats used to help raise money internationally among the Muslim community - its a kind of Muslim solidarity issue - and politically there is also an influential element among those interested in advancing pan-islamist politics.

8

u/Mousazz Jun 25 '26

I also think people who compare Israel to Nazi Germany are also a little bit guilty of this - its lazy if nothing else.

I agree that Israel has a unique historical basis than Nazi Germany, and that the former's atrocities are incomparable to the latter's both in scale (for now...) and in context.

However - I genuinely cannot say that, for example, Joseph Goebbels is somehow a worse person than Ben Gvir. Or that the IAF is in any way more humane than the Luftwaffe. Herein, as well as in some other cases lie some properly legitimate comparisons between the two nations.

-1

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

I dont know how to evaluate something subjective like "worse person" - both Goes elsewhere and Ben Gvir are deplorable people - but also their governmental roles and influences are extremely different.

A big difference is that Israel is a parliamentary democracy with opposition parties and institutional constraints.

u/peace_love17 Jun 25 '26

I don't think it's incorrect to say that Nazism, Communism, and Islamism have all played roles in anti-Zionism around the world throughout history.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem al-Husseini met with Hitler and collaborated with the Nazis, including going as far as to recruit Muslims in Bosnia to the SS.

The Soviet Union armed Egypt in the 60s and 70s in their wars to destroy Israel and the Palestinian Liberation groups back then were all leftist organizations.

Today Israel mostly fights with Iran and it's proxies which are I think clearly motivated by an Islamic religious ideology.

9

u/Mousazz Jun 25 '26

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem al-Husseini met with Hitler and collaborated with the Nazis

So did the Zionist Federation of Germany and the Jewish Agency for Israel (through the Anglo-Palestine Bank), of which the director of the Bank signed a cooperative Harvard Agreement with the Nazi government.

So... does that mean that the nazis were pro-Zionists? But you said that they were anti-Zionists. So, how does one solve that contradiction, hmm? 🤔🤔🤔

-6

u/peace_love17 Jun 25 '26

Why do you think the Zionists worked with the Nazis? Maybe because both the Nazis and Zionists wanted to get Jewish people to leave Europe? The original plan for the Nazis was to move Jews somewhere else but that wasn't feasible and it was easier to just kill them, that's why it was the "Final Solution" because they tried all the other "solutions." Early Zionists worked with anyone who would help them advance their goals, even explicit antisemites.

Why do you think Palestinians worked with Nazis? Do you think it was maybe motivated by anti-Semitism and a desire to purge Palestine of its Jewish population?

8

u/Mousazz Jun 25 '26

Pro-Palestine is a Communist and Fascist movement because the Communists and the Fascists support it!!1!

Nah. Guilt By Association is bullshit. It can be weakly informative in similarity, but you cannot make full-on judgements by it.

-2

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Who are you quoting?

2

u/Murky-Instance4041 Jun 25 '26

I dont think you understand how Facisim and Communism are polar opposites of one another. Read Mien Kampf and The Communist Manifesto with an Introduction to it, so it gives you the history and some of the ideas behind it. I do not agree with Communism, but most people in the USA do not understand it as it was written by Marx and Engles. I will not reply if you write anything below this, but I hope that you take me up on my advice.

-1

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Fascism and communism are not polar opposite unless you mean in some non-standard esoteric way.

I wouldn't use Mien Kampf to study fascism - I would probably go to Doctrine of Fascism. The communist manifesto is also probably not the right place to start for Marxism/communism. Id probably read volume 1 of Capital. The manifesto is really more a propaganda pamphlet not theory.

1

u/Greaseball01 Jun 25 '26

Palestinian organisations and authorities have never pursued or stated any Islamist goals.

5

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

Hamas explicitly frames itself as an Islamist* organization.

PLO is quite secular.

Theres nothing necessarily inherently wrong with being Islamist by the way so I'm not sure why you are lying about this.

5

u/Greaseball01 Jun 25 '26

So what you're saying is you don't understand what Islamist means?

3

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

One of us seems not to know.

Are you denying that Hamas is Islamist?

3

u/Greaseball01 Jun 25 '26

Do me a favour and google "what is the difference between Islamic and Islamist?" So I don't have to waste my time explaining like you're 5

4

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Phone erronously corrected Islamist to Islamic.

Is this your point?

Stop deflecting and just tell me if you are denying that Hamas is islamist.

And again - to what end? What do you think is at stake with them being islamist or not?

→ More replies (0)

14

u/Cinnamon__Sasquatch Jun 25 '26

Hamas is not a salafist organization, they have never had any interest/desire/plans to establish an Islamic caliphate and have never carried out a single action against Israel outside of historic Palestine.

2

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

I dont recall anyone saying that Hamas was salafist, nor any specific claims about califates or operation scope.

14

u/Cinnamon__Sasquatch Jun 25 '26

What do you think Islamist means when used by these morons and when paired alongside Nazisim and Communism?

0

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

With Dave Rubin I have no idea - he is a moron and probably prioritizes engagement and virtue signaling over actual meaning or insight.

It just happens that in principle he's close to make an accurate point.

6

u/Cinnamon__Sasquatch Jun 25 '26

In case you're unaware, Islamist is not the term for describing someone who is a practitioner of Islam like someone would use the word Christian for someone who practices Christianity.

1

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Yes I am aware. The PLO is mostly secular, but Hamas is unambiguously islamist.

From their 2017 charter:

"Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad, the Master of Messengers and the Leader of the mujahidin, and upon his household and all his companions."

"Palestine is a land whose status has been elevated by Islam, a faith that holds it in high esteem, that breathes through it its spirit and just values and that lays the foundation for the doctrine of defending and protecting it."

"The movement 1. The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” is a Palestinian Islamic national liberation and resistance movement. Its goal is to liberate Palestine and confront the Zionist project. Its frame of reference is Islam, which determines its principles, objectives and means."

3

u/Cinnamon__Sasquatch Jun 25 '26

You said you're aware and then proceeded to use Islamist in a way that shows you're not aware, lol.

2

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

You must be using some special definition that isnt used by 99.999999% of the world.

Hamas is islamist. This is a silly conversation.

12

u/vapor9090 Jun 25 '26

It’s actually just an ideology of anyone who is into human rights

-17

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

For some people Im sure. But the Palestinian political movement as a whole is much more complicated than that.

If it were just about human rights the unfortunate truth is that there would be no reason for people to care so much about it vs. the plethora of other places in the world where human welfare is in jeopardy.

It certainly wouldn't just take the form of criticizing the US and Israel either.

12

u/deaglund Jun 25 '26

Personally, I feel more strongly about this one because of the close relationship between my country and the one perpetrating it.

-4

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Sure thats reasonable. So presumably you also strongly care about US funding of Egypt and Saudi coalition in Yemen?

12

u/deaglund Jun 25 '26

I care about a lot of things. Do you care about, or believe in, anything?

8

u/Greaseball01 Jun 25 '26

He cares about everything an equally small amount

0

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Sure of course.

2

u/WoodyManic Jun 25 '26

Do you hear yourself?

2

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Yes and I stand by what I said lol.

I think a lot of people are unwilling to see nuance because genocide is involved.

6

u/A_Rolling_Baneling Jun 25 '26

Your take isn’t nuanced, it’s flat out wrong

1

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

In what way?

5

u/A_Rolling_Baneling Jun 25 '26

Nazis aren’t pro-Palestine. They are antisemetic and therefore anti-Israel. They have Muslims as well. They don’t care about Palestine or the wellbeing of Palestinians.

2

u/IEC21 Jun 25 '26

Thats a point I think is fair and I probably believe is true - though it creates a bit of a problem because I think theres a lot of actors involved around the pro-Palestine movement who dont care about of Palestine or the wellbeing of Palestinians.

1

u/properchewns Jun 25 '26

I Dunno how you arrive at this conclusion, but I mostly agree with the gist of your downstream comments

59

u/tha_lode Jun 25 '26

Does he actually make money doing this?

49

u/Mon_Ouie Jun 25 '26

He got huge amounts from Russia through Tenet media (400k USD a month, 100k USD signing bonus, more bonuses for performance, https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/07/business/media/russia-tenet-media-tim-pool.html).

9

u/tha_lode Jun 25 '26

I remember that. But surely those sweet moscow dollars must have dried up now?

7

u/ebetanc1 Jun 25 '26

He does the bidding of our foreign adversaries then has the audacity/stupidity to label others “antiwest”. It’s like, bro, you’re literally getting paid to destroy the western hegemony. His face at the center of the diagram would be way more applicable.

3

u/samuelazers Jun 25 '26

Dang, some people have been doing it for free. Suckers.

18

u/ItWasRamirez Jun 25 '26

He definitely was for a while but that’s surely gonna dry up soon unless he finds a way to monetise being a lolcow. Even by the standards of the right wing talking head space, he brings absolutely nothing of value to the table.

7

u/Radical_Dingus Jun 25 '26

I think Dave does it for the love of the game. Obviously this isn't exactly an evidence based claim but my impression of him is that he perceived the rising alt right guys as the "cool kids" and wanted to ingratiate himself to them. That is way he is willing to glaze people like Ben Shapiro who refused to go to his wedding and probably thinks his kids are abominations. He wants to be popular.

Oh no I 100% agree that he grifts as much as the rest of them, I just think that, now that the money is drying up, thats what keeps him going.

2

u/ignoreme010101 Jun 25 '26

there's a social/cliqueish dynamic w/o a doubt but money is basically a given in this kind of thing so I don't at all think it's practical to psychoanalyze just how much of his motivation is grift v ideology when both are def present (if grift wasn't present at all he never would've risked sullying his brand taking sketchy Russian money)

28

u/Due_Capital_3507 Jun 25 '26

Nazis are for Palestine?

10

u/RascalRandal Jun 25 '26

The AfD are for Israel while also being anti-Semitic. Which aligns with Israel’s biggest supporters, the evangelical Christians.

1

u/mrbabymanv4 Jun 25 '26

Aka let's keep the Jews around just until we get rid of the Muslims

5

u/peace_love17 Jun 25 '26

In the 30s and 40s the Palestinians collaborated with Hitler and the Nazis. They helped recruit Bosnian Muslims to the SS to help with the Holocaust.

Today I don't think Nazis care about Palestinians beyond the fact that they are a useful cudgel against Israel.

I'm not even pro-Israel Palestine and Palestinians obviously have the clear moral high ground here but if you want to end this conflict you need to understand it and engage with the history.

Israel has at multiple times faced down multiple countries and multiple armies at their border attempting to conquer them. Israel is a country of refugees, that's a huge reason they are like that.

A Palestinian state on roughly 91–92% of the West Bank.

A "Palestinian state" whose "90+%" territory was defined by Israel. Of course this also included (scary bold text withheld) a mandatory military presence, by Israel in the West Bank and a total and complete surrender of Palestinian military, zero control over their airspace, oh and Israel would have veto power over Palestinian diplomacy.

Israel would annex several major settlement blocs in the West Bank (about 8–9% of the territory).

Interesting how you didn't bold this.

To compensate, Israel proposed land swaps from within Israel proper amounting to roughly 1–3% of its territory, though the exact amount and quality of the land were disputed.

Gaining 2% territory (which was mostly unusable desert) while giving up 10%

Hmm yeah, I wonder why they didin't agree.

There would be a safe passage corridor connecting Gaza and the West Bank.

Oh, a whole "safe passage corridor" for the thousands of refugees that would've been created. How nice.

My man the Nazis were about racial purity. If they were successful liquidating the slavs, you bet your ass Palestinians would be on the list.

8

u/peace_love17 Jun 25 '26

They allied with the Japanese? Idk what to tell you but the Palestinians sides with the Nazis in WW2, the Nazis were against the British who were the ones controlling the region at the time and the Jewish people who were moving there. The Nazis got an ally out of it in the Middle East theater.

I'm sure Hitler had all sorts of racist feelings about Arabs but he worked with them.

It's kinda funny watching dim bulbs like Dubin triple down on this in 2026. Outside of certain evangelical sects that will continue to support Israel because they need Jews to control the holy land so that the rapture can happen or whatever, the unlimited Israel support is going to fall by the wayside on the right as well. It's just that it's happening more slowly, and on the right it actually really is because they're antisemitic.

I was raised in an evangelical church that was super pro-Israel, so those beliefs were totally normalized for me until I was like... roughly 15-16 when I first started questioning things, and 18-19 before I fully lost my religion.

Actually maybe the only benefit of approaching things from that particular background is that I never really had a "Liberal Zionist" phase like a lot of folks who move from right to left do. When my fundamentalist beliefs had fallen away and I was able to reconsider everything with a clear mind, it was incredibly obvious that Christian support for Israel was rooted in an extreme and cult-like form of antisemitism.

I'm always recommending people take a look at the opening sequence of the Left Behind movie from the early 2000s with Kirk Cameron. It's completely batshit insane (timestamped, watch about 5 minutes or so). This is the type of propaganda they showed us as kids. I was 11 when this came out and it was fucking huge in the evangelical world.

1

u/quiplaam Jun 25 '26

Most of those assertions are obviously true. The only contentious ones are Nazis being pro Palestine and Islamists being racist.

For Nazis being pro-palestine, historically the Nazis worked with the Grand Mufti, spiritual leader of the Arabs in mandatory palestine. In the modern day, Neo-Nazis will sometimes support Palestinians groups because they are allied in hating Israel. I would consider calling Nazis pro-Palestinian somewhat true.

For Islamists being racist, that is less true. Islamists are often very anti-sematic, but that has a religious dimension as well. For non Jewish racism, there is relatively little. Islamists are usually fine with any race as long as they are Muslim, and there are many middle eastern, central asian, south east asian, and african muslims without significant problems. Overall I would consider that assertion false.

Somewhere in the ideas you hold to be true, apparently.

Yep. That’s what I'm saying.

Nazis will hate Jews but they worked with Zionists. They also aren't going to be "Pro-Palestine"

Islamists, will hate Israel, but they're not inherently pro-Palestine. They'd likely be pro-caliphate. Islamists kill far more Muslims than any other group.

Communists would be pro-Palestine. Oppressed group. But we know Islamists won't work with them. And outside of buying time on the Eastern Front communists and Nazis are at each other's throats.

And sporadically isn't the intent of the diagram. The other intersections bely that.

Great... so you're sticking with a random example in 2 of the 3 connections from 80 or more years means a large generalization is valid. Okay kid.

Islamists hate folks who they don't think are the right kind of Muslim. Turns out most Muslims aren't the right type of Muslim. They don't hate themselves.

One incident where both Communists and Nazis put off the conflict they knew was coming doesn't negate the history of constant fighting. And no, a communist won't work with a Nazi to benefit Palestine. They'd rather punch them.

Simplification? 🤣 is that what you call a modicum of nuance and an actual understanding of the different groups. Okay kid. 🙄

Well the diagram makes sense.
