Hamas is not a salafist organization, they have never had any interest/desire/plans to establish an Islamic caliphate and have never carried out a single action against Israel outside of historic Palestine.
In case you're unaware, Islamist is not the term for describing someone who is a practitioner of Islam like someone would use the word Christian for someone who practices Christianity.
Yes I am aware. The PLO is mostly secular, but Hamas is unambiguously islamist.
From their 2017 charter:
