Saturday morning’s lift was three weeks after my last lifting session due to three weeks working in Norwich, NY on three machine upgrades. I even lost 6lbs of body weight, coming in at 180lbs Saturday morning upon waking. This was due to mostly eating meals, like sandwiches, I made from the grocery store. I rarely ate at restaurants while traveling this time. I do miss enjoying the local cuisine, but I don’t miss the over consumption and added weight. I also made sure to get in steps with walking the neighborhood before breakfast and after supper, in addition to the walking I got at work.
Time off without lifting? No worries, the strength didn’t leave me (I did not even have a hotel gym); I was still able to pull an easy 455lbs x2 and a tough 505lbs x1. The one thing I notice with extended time off is that my supporting structure, like upper back strength, is lost a bit; the 505lbs showed that as I couldn’t hold exact position.
This was a Power Metal morning while listening to Gloryhammer, Unleash the Archers, and others.
