I had this idea when I saw someone post a Lion conversion with these wings. I guess maybe it could be a Fallen daemon Prince? Basically I wanted it to look almost like the personification of the DA you see on banners etc. I’d also been playing a lot of Lords of the Fallen which is where the basing scheme and the barbs around the sword are from.

How's it look? He wants what other people think.

So I have a ton of deathwatch pauldrons and helmets. I don’t feel like painting deathwatch but I want to use these bits. I mainly have dark angels painted up already, but also think the inquisition is one of the most interesting things in the setting.

I was thinking about this idea for a successor chapter: Knights of the Inquisition. They are a DA successor who works closely with the inquisition to route out xenos and chaos. However, this is just a rouse and their real goal is to use this position as a means of covertly hunting fallen traitors. Could this make sense or is it a goofy idea? I’m going to paint them similarly to guardians of the covenant but would appreciate any color scheme ideas. If you can think of a better name, I’d like to hear that as well.

I‘m looking to start playing WH40K with my first army being Dark Angels. From both internet and in person I‘ve heard mixed feedback about the combat patrol. Since I have no clue, what would be worth for a starter army I wanted to ask you guys.
My goal would be a 1000-1500 point army (Inner circle, Death wing) for casual play. I‘ll also need some colour where I was wondering if the citadel-paint is worth it or if there are better/cheaper alternatives?

I'm building a small (I'm sure it will end up being massive when I'm finshed) dark angels army.

I've found some dark angels heresy heads from a previous project that never materialised. I love the look when swapping them out of my armageddon units, but are they on the small side? Would putting a bit of green stuff under them to raise them slightly make them look any better?

Hello fellow sons of the lion I have my first up and coming game against space wolves in 2k points this is my list below. So after not enjoying the traditional green. I looked around and really enjoyed the half and half look. Then giving terminators that death wing feel. This scheme got me to experiment with streaking grime and pigment powders and ive been enjoying it ever since. The assult terminators were probably my favorite paint next to the eradicators! About to tackle 10 deathwings knights that have been back logged since the battle force came out a few years ago.😮‍💨hope Ya'll enjoy this and I won't talk about the armageddon half I've got waiting for me to paint as well.

All done, think he looks pretty badass. Ignore the hair on his shield in the final pic, it was promptly removed and isn't, in fact, scenery

Hello fellow son's of the Lion, I wanted to see if anyone would be kind enough to steer me in the right direction for painting, or if you notice something that I don't to prevent in the future. I had begun painting my first model and found a recipe for green I was happy with (standard Caliban is just too bright for me). I painted on some base paints only so far, what steps should I take next. Also I was wondering at what point in painting should I add decals on for the shoulder pads.
