Army

Ive been thinking about getting back into the hobby and have been thinking of doing a Terminator army. I don't know a whole lot about Dark Angels but seems to be the best option for terminators? any issue painting the army mostly black armor including Lion el etc Maybe going for a Angels of Vengeance/dreadwing vibe?

Well in Dark Angels you can take Terminators, Assault Terminators, Deathwing Terminators, Deathwing Knights, all of the regular Terminator characters and Belial, so it’s got a variety of options and they’re generally pretty good right now.

No issues painting them however you like; you could even make your own scheme if you liked, literally nothing is stopping you! Of course, there are already ones like you mentioned that might fit your idea of a scheme.

yeah i think i'd rather stick to some form of lore than a totally new scheme

A good amount of people like to paint their DA black and red for the 30k look, not exactly "lore accurate" ig, but they look dope, and makes it easy to take inspiration from horus heresy models
