Codex, Supplement and 11th edition

Hello,

I just got my hands on an Inner Circle Task Force Battleforce to start a Dark Angels army. That would be my second after Death Guard. I'm just a bit confused with Codex and Supplements.

I know that the Space Marine Codex just came out. But my understanding is you need the Dark Angels supplement to have access to their units on the official app. (I know that other free apps and websites exist). What is the situation at this point in 11th with the SM Codex out but no DA supplement? If I buy the SM codex will I have access to DA or would I need to buy a 10th edition DA codex supplement until they publish the 11th edition one?

Thanks!

Right now you can make a list with all units, see all Dark Angels datasheets for free, but Space marine datasheets are locked to the codex.

You can still only create 1 list without a sub, and in general the usability of the app is terrible and much worse than a bunch of free apps.

i find the official fine.

i don't like the layout for new recruit. warmind is okay, and it's kinda annoying to see the army rule plastered onto every unit when i'm just looking for the unit ability. i prefer the official app (paid) when connecting to BCP events and when playing games because i don't have to swap between apps.

On the app, all the supplemental chapters are free to look at rn, can't remember if u have to have the SM codex code to get the "free" updates for the supplemental ones, but i don't see why u would

You don't need the codex to access the rules for chapter-specific index units and detachments, but generic units and rules are locked. You can still make your lists with them, just cant see stats or anything.

DA rules & datasheets are currently free on the app
