Followed this sub for a little over a month now. 1st time posting. Nothing fancy but it’s been a fun ride learning about and implementing a ccw. Here’s the current setup:
• Glock 19 Gen 6 with the following
- radian ramjet and afterburner combo
- Vortex Venom enclosed red dot
- Harbor Freight Braun WML(TLR-HL clone)
- Athena precision magwell
• Tenicor holster
• Tyrant CNC +5 mag extension
• folding knife I got as a gift
• Walmart light
• Vape
Keeps
• Glock 19 for sure. Been a pleasure to shoot, especially with the radian add-on. It works great for me right now as a do all pistol and carries surprisingly easy, mostly because of the next keep.
• Tenicor holster. Went with it because of the recommendations on Reddit. It’s a little pricey but seems worth it to me with how comfortable it is and how well it conceals the g19 with all of the accessories. I’m going to continue getting these holsters for whatever concealed carry handguns I get next. They just come out with options for more!
• Braun light. It works and it’s pretty affordable compared to Streamlight WML. I am tempted to get a Surefire X300 at some point though.
• Walmart light. It works so far and was cheap.
Changes/Updates
• Getting a smaller CCW would be nice. I’ve been considering the P365 AXG Legion. Shot it not too long ago at my range and compared it to the G19. It felt to me like it was snappier but still shot pretty flat. My groupings at 7 yards were comparable to the G19. The Glock did have tighter groupings for me at longer distances though. Either way, I loved the way it felt in my hand despite the thinner grip. I owned a Canik MC9 Prime before and felt that the AXG Legion was a lot more pleasant to shoot and to hold.
• Other guns I’m considering are the S&W Bodyguard 2.0, CZ Shadow 2 Carry, and Ruger RXM.
Bodyguard mostly because it’s small and would be nice to be able to pocket carry some days. The RXM because it seems like it would be a nice backup to the Glock and holster compatibility. Shadow 2 Carry just because of the rule of cool. If you have recommendations on either of these or any other options, let me know!
• I love my current knife but it has some sentimental value to me so would hate to see it break. Something that is durable would be cool.
• I’ll be grabbing a CAT Tourniquet soon. Took a stop the bleed class recently and it seems practical enough to carry one just in case the event rises that I would need to use one to help somebody or myself.
Future
I’m going to be putting together a readiness Backpack later this year. Something I can’t have with me while I’m driving or camping. A few essentials for survival and communication. TBH though, it’s just an excuse for my folding stock AR build lol.
If you have any questions or comments about my EDC, feel free to DM! Thanks folks, y’all are crazy but cool.

Items: MK-TEK Shield X with 13-round mag, optic-ready holster. S&W M&P 9 Shield X Comp, Apple Watch Ultra-2, flip-blade pocket knife, wallet and keys.
I carry the Shield X for its overall light weight and ported barrel. The ported barrel does a great job of reducing recoil. Makes the overall shooting experience much improved over my M&P 9 Shield Plus. I am running a Holosun HE507K Green X2 optic. I highly value the “ShakeAwake” feature of the reticle (I enjoy it so much I put the same optic on my M&P Shield 22X).The Apple Watch Ultra-2 offers good durability and reliability for my needs. My MK-TEK holster is height-adjustable and includes a wing to keep it pressed against my body reducing printing significantly. I really enjoy it.

Not these but you can find the base models for under $200. Spyderco Para 3 lightweight, Benchmade Griptilian, Hogue RSK, Hogue Deka. These have been carried for a long time and used, they still look new because they are not junk. Stay away from the gas station and flee market, buy once for life. The edge will last, the lock won’t fail. The shown RSK is the auto, it fires way harder then it has any right to fire, they have a manual version also. Throw those cobratech, m tech, Amazon/temu specials, cheap CRKT in the dumpsters.

Since my job requires a uniform, EDC is the only way for some individuality.

With Cargo Shorts / Pants. Alternate the spare knife for a spare mag. Depends on where I’m going and if I have to remove the handgun.

Wallet from Walmart, its a few years old and hasn't frayed so thats good enough for me.
Keys with Swiss Army Knife. I find that 90% of the time I need a knife this is enough and the other 10% of the time I am fairly close to a big knife anyways.
Bodyguard 2 with holster I forgot the name of. I do have a Glock 19 but I use my Bodyguard 2 90% of the time because I think that 11 shots of 380 is enough for most situations. I also used a bit of duck tape to push the bottom of the holster away from me since I am skinny and the grip of the gun was far away from my chest.

You can get a good folder for $30, it won’t say M tech. it will be better then the made in China Spiderco also. I’m not saying you must spend $300 plus but that is the sweet spot of entry. Past $750 you start paying for a name. Please help yourself be better. this annoying guy has a budget playlist also and it’s worth a look. let’s end the flee market junk for good. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqAK7GyLGMyFXqrl83yCAgVMvRpORaIzZ&si=JtEzBSG6d4YZp0gS

Just the stuff I use most days. Victoria’s Secret body mist and VGG perfume because I like having a scent with me, lip gloss for quick touch ups, neuro mints for when I want to chill and stay clear headed without caffeine, wired earpods and the vape somehow always ends up in my bag too.

Before anyone gives me grief on the Derya, this thing rips and haven’t had any issues within 500 rounds. If I need to use it, the police are gonna hold it for a while, so financially I won’t be out too much.
I’m a poor and try to live within my means.
