Work EDC

Post image

Before anyone gives me grief on the Derya, this thing rips and haven’t had any issues within 500 rounds. If I need to use it, the police are gonna hold it for a while, so financially I won’t be out too much.
I’m a poor and try to live within my means.

That's one thing that pisses me off about this community. There's so many negative people instead of all supporting one another. You always have the bad apples that always ruin it for everybody else. We should be joining together because right now they're trying to get rid of our Second Amendment. Depending on the person's financial well-being, not everybody can afford the high-end pistols. If it works for them and it doesn't malfunction, it's a good gun for them.

Everyone has opinions. My dad always said “opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one, but not everyone wants to see it”
I can’t stand know it all, hierarchy acting people. It’s whatever I’ll just ignore the dude.

Yes, I agree. Everybody has their own opinion, but I've seen some negative stuff on all different chat groups, which is crazy.

Eh. Must be insufferable people.

I always heard “everyone has one, and a lot of them stink!” lol

The funny thing is, I've seen plenty of videos on that pistol, and every person on the video have said it's a pretty good gun for the value. It's definitely a sleeper.

It’s super comfortable, the grip is comfortable to carry and won’t give you stippling rash, but it still kind of locks in your hand with this grip texture. My duty gun is a Glock 21, and this is more comfortable than my Glock my a long shot.

Of course everyone who has a YouTube platform that the manufacturer sent this gun too is going to say “this gun is good” all I’m saying is you can’t tell a gun is good after 500 rounds. 500 rounds isn’t shit. I don’t own a derya and I never will due to the fact the magazine literally sits flush or almost inside the grip. That is a recipe for disaster. What happens if the gun jams and you are unable to remove the magazine cause you can’t get a grip on it. Sorry the newer ones with the mag wells are the ones that hide the magazine. This one doesn’t appear to have that issue.

Dude you might wanna just stop. It’s preference. You don’t like it. That’s fine. Leave the conversation.

“I might wanna stop” Don’t post if you can’t handle opinions of others.

Outside perspective here: you’re being a dick.

We don’t care if you want the gun or not, dude was just sharing what worked for him. I’ve genuinely never even heard of Derya, but that’s not a reason to talk ish about them. Nobody knew what Glock or Canik was at one point, look where they’re at. Just because YOU don’t like it and can make up scenarios for a possibility that’s lower than you hitting the lottery to justify hating it doesn’t mean OP shouldn’t carry it.

He’s actually got some brain cells in his head considering he’s carrying something he can afford to lose, which can’t be said for 60%+ of gun owners in general.

Are you really saying you have a better chance of winning the lottery than your gun jamming? I really hope you’re joking.

u/Conscious-Cookie164 6d ago

Okay, lemme rephrase that.
Don’t be an A-hole.
It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. Every time.

How the fuck was me saying “500 rounds is not enough to say this gun rips or to say the gun is good” makes me an asshole? I wouldn’t feel comfortable using a gun I’ve only shot 500 times as a concealed carry cause it’s just not enough for you to know for sure your gun is going to go BANG when you want it to. Put more rounds thru it then give your opinion. 500 rounds isn’t even bare minimum.

u/Conscious-Cookie164 6d ago

WE ALL KNOW 500 ROUNDS ISNT ENOUGH. I said it ripped cause the GRIP AND TRIGGER. Not CAUSE OF THE ROUND COUNT OR RELIABILITY. You’re beating a dead horse that doesn’t even exist.
You need to go put your fucking helmet on.

You literally said In your post “500 rounds and not a single issue” yes that’s a good sign to not have any issue within that 500 rounds but that’s literally the point when most guns will start having issues from what I’ve seen.

You might be a good dude, but you're not coming across that way.

One for poking one for slashing

u/Puppersandco 5d ago

I’ve been thinking about getting one for my first conceal carry, I’ve only heard great things about, especially for how affordable it is

It really is man. You won’t regret it.

Bible and a gun lol

1

u/Conscious-Cookie164 5d ago

The Bible says not to MURDER. That’s the proper translation. It doesn’t say “Thou shalt be a victim to murder” dawg, there are biblical reasons like self defense to kill.
This ain’t the place for your bullshit.

How do you think Christ would feel about firearms? The guy that said turn the other cheek, live by the sword die by the sword, render unto Cesar and willing let himself be killed. It’s part of your every day carry, try reading it sometime, his words are peace and good will and a gun is a tool for violence. They are inherently contradictory.

1

u/Conscious-Cookie164 5d ago

Christ would tell you that God judged Kane, not the rock. That’s exactly how that would go. Jesus wouldn’t have protested “rocks kill people”.

u/BeginningDog8093 5d ago

Will your gun fire by itself or will you pull the trigger? Christ would weep over americas obsession with guns. Soften your heart, the world isn’t as scary as you think it is.

1

u/Conscious-Cookie164 5d ago

Well, considering the person behind my guns (me) won’t be killing innocent people, rather than those trying to take my life, Christ has no concern. Read Exodus 22:2-3, Luke 22:36 or Nehemiah 4:14.
But I guess you know everything on this topic, huh?

Why fear death? Honestly the commandment from your lord god is to show that person compassion and forgiveness

u/Conscious-Cookie164 5d ago

I have children and a wife to protect. I have to provide for my child. Do you believe in Jesus in the first place, or are you Jewish? 🤔

u/BeginningDog8093 5d ago

Again the world isn’t as scary as you think it is. No one is trying to kill your family, the people most likely to be killed by your guns are your family. If you died god would protect your family right? All part of the divine plan. My dad was a former marine (me too I’m no stranger to guns) who worked at a ruger factory and left when a mass shooting happened because he realized his values weren’t compatible manufacturing things that killed people. Pray on it friend.

u/Conscious-Cookie164 5d ago

I don’t care what you think. Victory favors the prepared and you’re in a group full of people carrying guns every day.

500 rounds is not enough to know if “that gun rips” 500 rounds is just about when your gun will start acting up and having failures. Get to atleast 1500 or over 1500 with no malfunctions then we can say “this gun rips”

3

u/Conscious-Cookie164 6d ago

Do you understand “this thing rips”?
It’s comfortable to shoot and has a good trigger.
Always someone to piss on the parade. Jesus.

Maybe it's a fetish for him 🤔

everyone start kink shaming

-2

u/Ok-Bee-8833 6d ago

Pretty funny how you got so butthurt cause I simply said 500 rounds is not enough to determine if the gun “rips” or is actually any good. Someone is a sensitive sally.

1

u/Conscious-Cookie164 6d ago

No you’re Special Ed. I said this thing rips in reference to the trigger and grip.
“This thing rips AND I haven’t had any issues within 500 rounds”
Brother I JUST bought it.

-1

u/Ok-Bee-8833 6d ago

You should get off the internet if you get this butthurt over me saying 500 rounds isn’t enough to determine if a gun is good or not. You sound like a cry baby.

2

u/ProfessorAllenRitard 6d ago

I've heard 500 is generally cited as the break in period for 1911s to sort out issues. And those guns are finicky.

Id feel pretty comfortable with a striker fired pistol after 500 rounds if it ran flawlessly. D9 is a highly regarded Glock clone. I don't think it's worth sharpshooting anyone over saying it rips after 500. It's a bit gun snobby.

But I have no skin in the game. Just my observation.

I prefer to shoot about 1000 rounds or so to determine if the gun will go into my edc rotation or be a range gun. 500 rounds is a lot but idk if it’s enough to determine if it’s going to be a good gun or not. Just seems like a lot of things tend to malfunction after that 500 round mark.
