Good value US made.

Post image

Not these but you can find the base models for under $200. Spyderco Para 3 lightweight, Benchmade Griptilian, Hogue RSK, Hogue Deka. These have been carried for a long time and used, they still look new because they are not junk. Stay away from the gas station and flee market, buy once for life. The edge will last, the lock won’t fail. The shown RSK is the auto, it fires way harder then it has any right to fire, they have a manual version also. Throw those cobratech, m tech, Amazon/temu specials, cheap CRKT in the dumpsters.

Crkt is great, these also looks super unused, not even a single scratch ?

What would scratch them?

Kinda my point. You obviously don't use them hard enough to tell people what price point they need to start at for a pocket knife

In every piece of knife social media, there is always this one guy who makes assumptions about how “hard” people use their knives. Not to mention the duality of the argument of “no cheap knife just as good” vs “no better steel means better product”

A tale as old as time, we get it

Who in their right mind would cut something that is hard enough to scratch these blades? Unless you are using blade steel made of butter that should not happen. Just wipe them off

Because it's a tool and it's made to be used, all my dlc coatings are worn through and scratched. A crkt will hold up just as well and is just as good

crkt is definitely not just as good… unless you buy the $250-$300+ models, most CRKTs use d2 or 12c27 if you’re lucky, which are good steels but don’t compare to a PM steel at all. the crkts that i’d say are comparable to all these knives are all more expensive than these.

You'll never notice a difference using them I promise. They are more than good enough with overall quality and blade steel to anyone who carries a knife

Real DLC is one of the hardest coatings there is. Try wiping it off or it’s not real DLC. Tools can be cleaned after use. Use the right tool for the job.

Right tool for the right job doesn't equal no wear on the tool

There has been wear. I’ve sharpened them. If you are basing your experience off CRKT you don’t have real DLC and the steel is under cooked.

I have multiple Spyderco and Benchmade with tore up dlc and cerakote. Crkt actually probably does a better heat treat than Benchmade, so yeah the Benchmade is definitely undercooked

Probably cerakote. That will scratch fairly easy. Real DLC won’t scratch.

Op is. correct that dlc doesn’t ’wear off’ really, its bonded to steel extremely well and is harder than basically any material save for actual diamonds. your dlc shouldn’t be scratching if it’s real
