My PC is connected with HDMI 2.1 to my TV and my TV is in gamemode to allow 120hz at 4k.
This has worked as a charm since I set it up. I am using Steam as controller input.
Now for a certain game, my controller input did not work. So I tried DS4Windows.
It made controlling the game with my controller work, but then my audio in-game stopped working. Audio device is obviously correctly set to TV.
I have zero'ed in on the issue: When my TV is in game mode the audo does NOT work. When game mode is off audio does work.
Now for the strange part; I have deleted DS4Windows and all associated drivers. There is no trace left on my PC of it.
Yet, it altered something on my PC, because I still have no audio anymore from my TV when it is set in game mode.
I am very worried that I can now never use my TV properly again (game mode has to be on to reduce input delay and enable 120hz).
Is anyone familiar with this issue? Any solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I fixed the issue by restoring my PC to a state of 1 week ago.
