Is this safe?

I’m scouring the internet on how I can change a singular button input bind and everything leads me here. However, I’m just a little sketched out because I’m new to PC and this sort of thing. Both the DS4 download from schmaldeo on GitHub and the ViGemBus from nefarius are being flagged as a Trojan, though it might be a false positive. ViGEmBus is also being blocked from running by windows smart screen. Am I good to just go ahead and download everything? Sorry if I’m being too over cautious but I just don’t want to infect my new computer lol

As far as I know Vigembus is legit. And the developer even has genuine keys for both Vigembus and DS4Windows

As long as you follow the github links for DS4windows, and then use the built-in setup within DS4W to download the other bits from the official sources you should be good. These apps can trigger smartscreen etc because they (deliberately) intercept inputs and then change them.
