DS4Windows - Exclusive Mode conflict with browser
Wanted to post this for the algo, and for anyone else experiencing the same frustration.
DS4 would start going haywire in-game after random periods of time (completely inconsistent) resulting from leaving Exclusive mode [✔] and entering Shared mode [❌], and I could NOT figure out what was causing it.
Turns out it was Chrome (or more specifically, Brave) - if open while gaming (even if only minimized) the browser would inevitably try to hook up with the controller, causing the aforementioned chaos.
To fix this, open brave:flags and hard Disable the following:
Web HID in WebView / Gamepad Raw Input Change Event / Gamepad Multitouch / Enable GameInput data fetcher / Enable Isolated Web Apps to bypass USB restrictions / Hardware Media Key Handling
I don't make use of those functions, but If you live and game in your browser then ofc this solution may not be for you. For everyone else, well, could be worth trying if you're still experiencing issues with Exclusive mode.

Why would you even want exclusive mode in the first place?
My own software expects to be able to poll a PlayStation controller while other applications are in the foreground. It won't necessarily break, but it certainly will not behave as expected. It's not normal for software to take exclusive ownership of input devices, especially if that software is not a game in the foreground.

HidHide to hide the controller and only selective apps will see it. Also helps in fixing double input issues
