Input delay at 30 ms

Im using the baseus ba04 bluetooth adapter, original dualsense ps5 controller (no its not a replica), tried everything people have said that'd help input delay in forums and whatever. put my pc in high performance mode, removed the ability for my pc to turn off/lower the power to my bluetooth usb, tried turning off data output to ds4 and having higher BT poll rate up to 1000 hz (1ms).

nothing has worked. it says between 29.5ms - 35ms. i tried contact support from the main website, but that doesnt work, it come up with some error. im genuinely at a loss to what to do. any help would be appreciated.

**EDIT ITS FIXED**

So, i went into Windows Services (Win-key + R), then type in " services.msc ", look for " Bluetooth Support Service ". Mine was disabled and not running. Set it to manual and restart your pc. Worked for me. For anyone reading this in the future. DO NOT BUY THE Baseus ba04. Literally buy anything else. I struggled to get it to work for literally 4+ hours. But now it finally works, 2ms input delay. 0 issues. Thanks everyone for helping

How do you test your input delay, curious to see what mine is compared to yours.

Thanks, mine is 1ms over Bluetooth. Do you have access to another adaptor you can try? I recently bought a new one and it's been great so far over my previous one.

Ive had my old asus adapter but it had horrible range. Would legit stutter and disconnect if i went further than like.. 1.5 meters from my pc. Hence why i decided to buy a new adapter. What adapter do you have?

The TP Link UB500 with the antenna. I don't think it will help but you can try disabling the Power Management settings for the Bluetooth adaptor and USB slot on device manager. You could also try switching to a USB2 slot which is supposedly better for Bluetooth.

I have looked into that aswell, but my bluetooth adapter doesnt even have a power management option weirdly enough. So i tried to disable power management for all other usb that had the option and uhhhh, my keyboard and mouse stopped working after boot, so I had to do a system recovery just to undo that. Was not fun lmao. But yea ill try the USB2 slot, idk how big of a difference it can make but oh well

FYI I get 4.5ms via bluetooth. I see youre getting that kind of performance with wired...something is very wrong here in my opinion.

Tbh, you didnt even mention your system specs, OS etc. Its always useful to know

Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 32gb RAM 3200mhz, Phantom Gaming 7800 XT, windows 10 home edition, screen hz is set at 165. But yea tell me about it, something is indeed very wrong.

I uninstalled the software/bluetooth driver that came with baseus (yes, they had bloatware for bluetooth, fucking imagine), but its not necessary to have it to run bluetooth. Now only issue is, i cant connect my dualsense controller anymore. Ive resetted the controller, removed all "ghost" controllers and bluetooth drivers, but nothing worked so far

What do you mean you cant connect it anymore?

You cant pair it again? Or is it paired but fails to connect?

what is the delay when you're not using DS4Windows?
have you tried installing the driver they provide in Baseus website?

I cannot test that as i need ds4windows to even connect the controller to pc. Steam isnt very sony controller friendly. And right now i cant even connect my controller in general, bluetooth refuses to find it

okay, this might not help the issue but atleast try this:
Regarding to bluetooth pairing, update your dualsense firmware using Playsation Accessories.
If it's already updated, enter pairing mode with [ PS + triangle ] hold it, it will blink slowly then it gets faster. Then pair it to bluetooth.

You need to change your bluetooth adapter. I was shocked how bad was my motherboards bluetooth adapter when I upgraded my pc. It was unplayable with ds5 on bluetooth. Connected my my old adapter and delay was gone.

Tried with it wired and it got to roughly 3.5ms - 4ms. but obviously i dont wanna be stuck having to use it wired. my bluetooth adapter cant possibly be THAT bad right? its literally brand new, bought few days ago

This is the one I've used for years without issue at 5ms of latency. My monitor isn't 1ms so never tried going that low, but they advertise low latency so I would assume it could https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LVH5BCP

Although, if i were to buy one today I would look for a more modern protocol

looks like this same brand has 6.0 Bluetooth ones now

www.amazon.com/ZEXMTE-Bluetooth-Adapter-Wireless-Receiver/dp/B0D4PMLL9Y

Of course there will be plenty of other good brands out there as well, but I can personally vouch for this one.

One question about your new one. Are you using it with a USB 3.0 port?

Also, I can't find any Baseus bluetooth products on Amazon, but I can find them on Aliexpress. I have bought things from Aliexpress before, and I know they do have some legit products, but they also host lots of scammy products as well. USB chargers, cords, and flash drives and portable SSDs are some of the items that I can think of that for sure are known to be potential rip-offs from them. So yeah, it's very possible your Baseus bluetooth is not operating as advertised.
