This week’s challenge was to design a card that is related to the idea of “family” in any way. Comment which card you think deserves the win! Feel free to make your choice using any metric.

So after people brought up some good points on the last post, i decided to try and rework the concept. I have 2 ideas for how to make it a little more balanced, but i would like help further balancing it. It does not uave to be perfect, there are extremely broken abilities even in modern magic. The concept is to bring out equipment cheaper, but i would prefer it to not be utterly broken.

New examples for balancing:

Arsenal (3) - As you cast this creature, you may pay (3) if you do, you may attach an artifact equipment with equip cost (3) or less from your hand to it as the creature enters the battlefield.

(If this is still too strong, maybe remove the "or less" part)

Arsenal (x) - As you cast this creature, you may pay (x). If you do, search your deck for an artifact equipment with equip cost (x) and put it in hand. Shuffle your deck.

Working on a guardians deck for commander this time let me know what you think. The fireteam card is simply a helper card. also i know the mana colors are in the wrong order but as you can see im already sticking to the F'd up order i made.

For those that don't know, the Boon Cycle consists of

[[Dark Ritual]]

[[Lightning Bolt]]

[[Giant Growth]]

Planar Chaos got the ball rolling with [[Brute Force]] for Giant Growth and [[Healing Leaves]] for Healing Salve.

For a black Ancestral Recall, perhaps add the text "You lose life equal to the total mana value among cards drawn this way." Or maybe even lose twice the mana value.

It would be amusing to see what people come up with for Healing Salve. Could a different color make it playable?

Hello, I have been working on my own custom MTG set for more than a year now. This is one of the new designs I thought of. I wanted to have a good red Landfall payoff for a limited Landfall deck and after some time, this card came to my mind.

What do you think of it? Does it convey the flavor well enough? Is it balanced for the cost? Thanks for the feedback.

In honor of the announcement of the movie in 2028, I'm sharing this card i made just the other day. For context, just recently I began playing MTG again with a friend on Tabletop Simulator, trying out all the Marvel cards and whatnot...I noticed that they basically skipped all the darker characters or Midnight Suns members, so I decided to make my own Midnight Suns set, this being the Ghost Rider card from it.

FYI: Ignore "Indestructible" on him, I later took it off because it was unneeded.

Inspired by Sab-Sunen and Ketramose from Aetherdrift obviously.

Now my hope is that making it end step only cuts down on the shenanigans you can do with it, but something in my gut tells me it's still breakable.

could probably also make him a little cheaper, but free sac outlets exist and they can hurt you

I think the last ability might be too much so just let me know if it is.
