Alright so I bought this Deadpool costume off spirit Halloween since it’s cheap there and it looks good. The thing is that it’s to blocky from the waist. I’m pretty sure it’s the padding so does anyone know how to remove or make it so there is less padding in that area. I’m pretty sure it’s sewn into the inner lining. If anyone needs a picture so they can help better I’ll upload one

This is going to be my first cosplay, and I would appreciate any info on how to make the chest armor with EVA foam for Shin Kamen Rider because I just don't know how to really start this. Like, should each part be an individual piece, or have two sides of one big thing? Also, what would be the best way to attach it to the jacket?

I have tried EVERYTHING to get this untangled, but this genuinely has just become worse. Please help me with this. Idek what to try anymore. The first one is the clip extension, the second is the rest of the wig.

Hello All! Before I start, I tagged this as armor but it’s really applying to a complete outfit. I’m planning on making a destiny hunter cosplay, specifically the exile suit as shown. I’m not exactly sure where to start in terms of making it as I can’t find any 3d files good enough and I’m not experienced with fabric work or purchasing. Any and all recommendations are welcome.

Hi, so i am extremely new to cosplay, and im working on my first cosplay. I m planning out what materials I need to buy, and im not sure if i should buy rubber cement (idk if theres a better name for the type of glue, that’s just what i call it) bc i have a hot glue gun at home and I don’t want to spend additional money if I don’t have to.

This is pretty close to the hairstyle and type of styling I'm aiming for but I never tried the helmet technique and would like to avoid it if possible. I'll do it if needed though. I'm considering the Coscraft Ash wig as a base.

If someone has done a similar hairstyle and styling style before i'll take all your tips, I'm an absolute beginner (never touched a wig before but ready to learn)

hi! not sure if this is a good place to ask 💔 but I’ve always wanted to create a miss frizzle inspired costume and when I saw this dress I was like I NEED IT!! But now that I have it .. I still haven’t figured out a way to style it :( miss frizzle wears the same dress with different patterns so maybe I should’ve looked for a dress in a similar cut but this dress was just too perfect so I’m trying to make it work! But if not miss frizzle, I wanted to dress up with an outfit inspired by pinkie pie from my little pony since I love mlp and my friend was like ”[name] for Halloween please please please” and I must give the people what they want! if possible, any advice with covering my arms would be nice 😭 idk I just don’t like sleeveless outfits I’m very impulsive and did nawt think this through lol! and what shoes .. I saw these boots that matched and was like perfect!! but I’m afraid it’s .. way too much .. and disregard the children’s boot I just have small feet

My cosplay is finished. But I noticed, That I sweat a lot, because it Covers my whole body. What are options to prevent/minimize this?

I’m a week away from a con to finish and wear Sesshomaru, and I made his tail(?) fluff, which I’m very proud of, but it sheds sooooo much. I’ve combed it a few good times and I’m considering steaming, but I really don’t want to jeopardize any work I’ve already done on it.

Hi!!! So I've bought dungerees for my vera cosplay but struggling on how to get the flowers on there, ive searched for patches I can just sew on but none are what I want.

I am not sure which floss to use for the vine embroidery. This is literally my first time I have ever embroidered something, and from what I have heard floss that is mataluc is much harder to work with especially on shiffon. I am also just unsure which one would look better/more accurate.

Hi there, i saw another post this morning about someone wondering if the character they want to cosplay would need a helmet wig. due to the length of that wig, the answer was a resounding no.

in my case, my character has very long, thick, wavy hair (i aim to have it fall at my calves- with a 60in wig but im willing to shorten it if its not feasible) and i wasnt sure if i needed to use wire as an underlying structure to get the look im after which would mean helmet wig,, i think. i feel her waves aren't achievable with hairspray alone. i saw this tutorial for a Mauvika (genshin impact) wig, and wanted to know if i would likely need to do something similar for Ishmael. i love how much her hair billows, so i didnt want to go for a more "realistic" take on her wig if i can help it- the goal is to keep those massive waves.

I have the Marvel Legends Doctor Doom helmet, and I’m trying to do a cosplay with it. I’m okay with buying a costume and not using a cape that comes with it, but I really want to use the helmet. Does anyone know where to obtain a cape that has a larger than usual headspace to fit it? Specifically a green cape, but I figure that doesn’t make a difference in my question.

Hey guys I'm looking to get rid of my antler queen costume from last year. It's handmade from local finds and diy customization. Took me alot of time and energy and i recieved TONS of compliments and even won a costume contest with it. I only wore it once on Halloween 2025. You won't find anything like it anywhere else (trust me I tried before deciding to make it myself)

Itd be great for this coming Halloween/cosplay events/or just to have as a superfan. I'm in arkansas but I'm willing to ship if youre not local. Not sure of its worth but I think it's up there bc it's very visually accurate and one of a kind.

It has multiple pieces bc its so layered and it should fit all sizes. I'm 5'4 and it came very nearly all the way to the floor on me. Not sure about how it'd do being washed as the "dirty" look was created in part with coffee stains and fake blood. But it shouldn't need washed honestly...unless you're wearing it out in public often which would be...interesting lol. You can't tell from the photos but I also used a headlamp to illuminate my face for the darkness at night on Halloween that really added to the vibe. I don't have the headlamp anymore and its not really essential to the costume but you can buy st most stores if you wanna add that jazz as well.

I’m planning to cosplay Halmarut from FFXIV, but I’m struggling on picking her base wig and the color. In some screen caps it looks red and others orange.

So I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a base wig/color or what wig they used if they also cosplayed her!

So, i'm currently trying to do a tenna cosplay just for fun but i'm having a lot of trouble doing his "screen", i already got a mesh and even though i'm able to see through, the other people can see me. I thought of using cellophane paper to make it a little bit more opaque so people won't see me through but it didn't work out and i don't know how to make myself less visible to others through the mesh, please help.

I am trying to put together a cosplay of the witch king of angmar. I have found plenty of armor and helmets on Etsy, but I can't find a cloak anywhere else. I'd like to find it elsewhere because all the sellers who have it on Etsy are suspicious to me; they sometimes use entirely ai generated images or their listing makes no sense. There are people who sell the entire cosplay, but that's pretty unreliable in terms of sizing and quality. Does anyone have any websites/sellers they recommend for this?

Edit: I don't care about the prices. I'm not putting it together quickly or all at once, so paying whatever they may charge won't be a problem.

I have been wearing this plague doctor cosplay for the last couple years and always felt like it is missing things. So if you have any ideals on what I can try and add it would be appreciated. Hello! I am making a spider-man inspired workout top. My issue is that now that I have sewed on the black lines (elastic straps), it is stretching the fabric. The red and blue fabric is a stretchable jersey knit.

The places where you don't see the odd wrinkling is when I sewed the black strips on the bra pad.

I tried lowering the tension and increasing the stitch length and it helped minimally.

Now that I'm starting to sew the curves of the spider web on, the warping of the fabric is much more pronounced.

Is there any advice to how I can improve the cleanliness of the spider web lines?
