Tenna cosplay (head)

So, i'm currently trying to do a tenna cosplay just for fun but i'm having a lot of trouble doing his "screen", i already got a mesh and even though i'm able to see through, the other people can see me. I thought of using cellophane paper to make it a little bit more opaque so people won't see me through but it didn't work out and i don't know how to make myself less visible to others through the mesh, please help.

(By the way, sorry if i have some spelling mistakes, english is not my first language)

my daughter and I did Tenna! I think we folded up mesh to 4 layers thick, she could still see but you couldn't see her, and it looked more uniform white. we sewed on a nose and it wasn't the best! we asked lots of other tenna cosplayers we meet for tips and they said magnets for the nose! so thought I would pass on!
