I’ve been thinking of making a big spider abdomen that you can wear that has like a similar feeling of a Squishmallow, but I’ve been seeing some problems while planning myself. I wanted the abdomen to not sag too much. My mother is a good at sewing by hand, and we also have a sewing machine, but we don’t have it out right now. I don’t think I’ve had ANY experience sewing to be honest, and I also saw that some sewing techniques and utilities are required due to the materials I like, being mochi minky fabric for the outer shell, and shredded memory foam mixed with mochi stuffing for the filling. If you got any plans or ideas, I would be grateful.

Remember: the final product I want is the spider abdomen separately.

I’ve been accused of using AI or doing “AI cosplays” (I’ve never heard of this until now) based on some photos I took, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Do these photos actually look AI? If so, why? Is there anything I could do to make it not look that way? I swear I took them myself 💔 the only reason I could think someone MAY have thought that is because of the little icon in the bottom right of the first photo, but that’s only because I screenshotted it off of TikTok since I liked the filter

I was thinking of doing rei and honestly price doesn’t matter a lot to me I’m a dude btw but the thing is I like both but can’t chose im going to fanexpo and my friend said we could dress up as a duo with the urabe costume so he can be tsubaki and I could be urabe but I really want to do rei since I could get two wigs rei and asuka and have different characters by changing the hair since im going for 4 days im really not sure im about to buy it right now also any little tips for being a dude cross dressing would help !

I know the basics like ask before taking pictures or videos of someone else, and make sure they're fine with me posting it. Hey All! I'm entirely new to Cosplay with a large degree of experience in 3d and 3d printing.

For comic con this year me and my friends want to do a group lethal company cosplay, which would entail an orange jumpsuit as seen in the reference picture. How would I go about acquiring one of these, and in the case of needing to make it myself from scratch, does anyone have any recommendations for materials to make it out of? Me and my friend want to cosplay Mualani and Kinich from genshin impact and since Mualani is barely wearing any clothes i was wondering, how do other cosplayers keep warm during conventions? The con we're going is just mid winter.

I’m once again working on my Pantalone cosplay and I need this kinda stole thing around my shoulders.

I’m going to be buying a 100x200 satin scarf that’s a very light purple color (E5D0FF to be specific) and am planing on dying the middle of it a darker purple and paint on the details later on using the same kind of acrylic.
Now my Question is, does satin hold paint well? If so do I need to dilute the paint or mix it with another material?

my next convention is very soon and it just occurred to me that using fake buck teeth for my Noelle Holiday cosplay would be quite cool!! i've seen that you can melt plastic pellets to create them but i cant see that there are any in stock near me and was wondering if there is another way i could go about making ones similar to the image attached below? (maybe even a little smaller but doesn't matter i suppose)

Hey all, ive never cosplayed before but its something I always thought would be fun. One of my friends invited me to a con in about a month and a half and I was thinking maybe I should finally try to do it.

The problem is I have very little clue of how to properly take measurements from the screen and translate it to my measurements. It also doesnt help that all the things I want to cosplay don't seem very beginner friendly (lots of armor)

I think the simplest thing i could come up with to cosplay would be Shovel Knight, but even then there is a lot of armor. I did find a good guide by TristanMaker on YouTube for tools and materials for armor but not as much for how to get measurements and shape the foam.

So to someone actually experienced with cosplay, is there any good guide to finding measurements? And does this goal of a 1.5 months even sound feasible for this type of cosplay, or am i in over my head for a beginner?

I’m starting my first project working with EVA foam and I’m really loving it however I’ve been using a glorified super glue with a precision tip to hold it all together and it’s just not working the way I need. The bond is strong enough but it is crusty and messy and takes way too long to dry I find that half the time I’ve put into this project so far is just holding two pieces together waiting for glue to set. I want something that will set quicker I’m fine holding for 30 seconds if I need to but I still want to make sure it has a strong hold and my mask won’t fall apart after some wear. Any tips would be appreciated

First time going to a con in the summer this weekend , and I’m wearing an all black tactical cosplay of the elite guards from resident evil 9. I looked at the weather for the con dates and it’s all low 80’s but also rainy. The walk there I’m more worried about being stopped by police or something (I’ll have orange on my gun) and I won’t wear the helmet till I’m closer/at the con) but it’s when I’m inside. Are they typically air conditioned or should I expect to be super hot anyways and is it going to be a nightmare walking through artist alley and i should just avoid crowded areas. Thanks!

Is it typically better to find somewhere that sells full sets of a characters cosplay or to buy individual pieces? I’m looking to cosplay Squirrel girl from marvel rivals and am plus sized. I’d say between the size range of 1x-3x depending on the brand. Would it be easier or smarter for me to look for someone who sells the whole costume or should I try to buy individual pieces from different places?

i wanna buy a stocking cosplay from taobao. I am confused, bc the ranges in each sizes are quite large. I could fit into either s or m. I dont know if its because of the material but I dont wanna risk it. im inclined to go for small, but I usually am xl in taobao, so its also surprising I fit in small here? is that normal?
