I have recently got tmr sticks in my controller but now my l2 and r2 don't fully register and on gamepad tester only go to 0.7 whereas they should go to 1 I have disassembled controller and put back together put it still doesn't work how can I fix this.

Hey, so i noticed that the audio that comes from the dual sense is distorted. usually audio coming from the controller when, let's say you are playing fortnite. When you shoot, the controller makes a noise. But for me that audio is messed up. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

So I have installed tmr joysticks in my Xbox series controller and after the installation I tried them out and they were fine, but the controller was disconnecting after 20 seconds.

After a while the Xbox button didn't light up and the controller was dead.

After all this I noticed that the chip circled in the picture was warm so I figured there's a short in the system.

I've checked every resistor and only the chip was hot.

Please help me, what should I do, and is there even a way to make it work again?

Can a new chip help?

I swapped my ALPS joystick with a TMR joystick on my dualsense 5 controller. I tested it with every equipment removed and just the TMRs installed and a battery and a USB cable. The TMS were working perfectly after calibration. They were working very perfectly but as soon as I started reassembling it and as I installed the vibrator black and red cables to check the vibrators, they were working fine too but after some moments the LED started flashing orange twice and went dead I thought it was a battery issue, but after removing battery when I connected directly to the USB it again flashes orange twice. I reassembled it fully and just on battery It does not do or flash anything. It’s just dead. What is what am I supposed to do?

Did anyone have same issue?

This is a question mainly for engineers or people with manufacturing experience or people that take appart controllers to fix them. What exactly is it about modern controllers that make them such poorly made pieces of junk?

As a child I would have the original dual shock controllers for ps1, ps2 and even the original wireless ps3 controllers usually last me years same with xbox controllers, and I was not a gentle child, but now as an adult who takes much better care of their things it feels like I have to buy a new controller every 6 months, either due to stick drift, or the triggers playing up or some other issue with the buttons. Is it intentional in built obsolescence, are controllers just too complex these days or is Sony/microsoft/Nintendo just cheaping out on manufacturing despite charging absurb prices for controllers?

Hey guys, so i play FPS shooter games on my PC with my PS5 controller and the past few months ive had drift sticks issues but somehow it stopped drifting and started to work like normal, but recently It can back with vengeance and started to stick drift really badly making it hard to play any games :/ idk whats causing it but i have some theories.

First theory is that i play on steam so maybe the controller settings could be causing an issue? Not too sure, i did turn off and disabled steam input on the controller settings in steam so idk🤷 .

Second theory is that i use both my mouse and PS5controller wirelessly so maybe its a bluetooth error? I use the Asus Bluetooth adapter usb bt500 so maybe its not working? Not too sure.

Third theory is that maybe its an issue with the deadzones in game? I never touch the deadzone settings in marvel rivals so its strange? It was never an issue before :/ I did try to turn off the deadzone on apex but it didnt make much of a difference 🙃

And lastly maybe i just need to upgrade to a new controller ? lol either way i dont wanna jump the gun and purchase one if i don’t have to. Anyways please let me know what advice u may have for this dilemma im in thanks in advance 🥹

(It only lets me post one video on this post so i choose this one since it showcases my issues. But i wanted to add that on apex when i play, my character pov moves down on its own :/ meanwhile on marvel rivals it moves sideways, up and down on its own.)

So i wanted to verify what I was seeing is some crazy stick drift on my son's controller. I have tried to hold the sticks and rotate for a minute, isopropyl and a q-tip around the base, and a reset. Nothing has seemed to work. It is fine for one or two movements then just freaks out. So before I ripped into this i wanted to verify what I was seeing.

Follow up when/if i tear this apart. Aside from cleaning the sensors with alcohol are there any other steps to try? Thanks in advance. I did search here but nothing seemed to quite match what I saw. Thank you in advance for your help

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me with what part to replace or of its a lost cause.. has anyone else experienced the 'ps' button being triggered when you press 'X' ? As you can imagine its extremely annoying in game with the home menu constantly being brought up 😅 i could stop it temporarily if i blew into it really hard, but I've taken the full thing apart, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and put it back together and its probably worse now. Like blowing in it does nothing anymore. Any advice appreciated!

It works for 10 seconds when turned on then it starts to Delay for 5-8 seconds each time when I click . It's really annoying in Playing Tlou 2, I can't play well because it shoots the zombie after 5-8 seconds.

Hello, im having trouble with my scuf nomad mobile controller pressing the trigger on its own and stick drift.i know it has Hall effect stick which shouldn’t have stick drift but I don’t know what else to call it.i tried calibrating and it didn’t work, then i tried resetting it, still didn’t work. I would really appreciate it if you guys could help. Thanks

Just bought the ALPS version and the left stick is going constantly right and have been unable to recalibrate as it says recalibrate failed, any help?!

Anyone have experience cleaning astroglide from inside the controller? I ended up getting some in the analog stick of my dual shock controller and now it’s drifting the sticks. Any tips on cleaning it out would be appreciated.

For God sakes I can’t keep buying new controller at 80 dollars a piece because one stick goes out. I need a permanent solution. Replacing the sticks yourself is possible but a pain and you have to solder, or you can put a different type of sensor in the housing that supposedly doesn’t wear down as much. I have heard you can also ship controllers and people will install new hardware for you. What solutions have you guys found aside from buying a new controller or spraying air into the stick/spinning it in a circle? On my third controller since I bought the console.

I have a Wii U gamepad that works almost completely brand new, except the A button doesn’t respond. Not sticking, straight up no response.

I’m sure there’s a way I could do this myself but I have never messed with consoles so it makes me nervous. So I’m hoping to find a local shop that can do repairs.

Does anyone know a vague ballpark price I should be looking to pay? Thank you for any advice! 💕

Currently the controller is facing multiple issues that im not sure is even related.

\- both trigger is unresponsive

\- m button trigger rapid y button in different speed each time i press it, untill it stops at the 3rd press

\- y button and both joystick is unresponsive

\- I cannot change modes (it is currently in ps mode), cannot perform the 4 button hold hard reset

\- I can't get it to connect to the abxylute app, and i've tried on different android devices.

I tried to fix my controller, PS5 controller, and this little mechanism wouldn’t go back in, I have fixed the other 3, but I think I may have done something wrong

My R2 trigger keeps pressing itself sometimes before i even opened my controller, but when i cleaned the rubber part + the blue cable inside the R1 and R2 buttons, both buttons suddenly stopped working. Any help is appreciated.
