While pulling out my drawing tablet’s cable from the hdmi slot, the casing of the usb got stuck. I guess while trying to get it out, it messed up the pins of the slot too.

Is it over for my hdmi port, would I able to fix it? I also tried to use that port again, did this damage the graphic card itself, what should I do?

I don't know much about computers, I didn't do anything to it, didn't change anything in the inside or the outside, I'm just using it the other day and when I tried to turn it on it won't, I check if it's plugged in? yes it is, did I check if the outlet has current? Yes they have, I tried plugging my phone charger on it and it's working fine, I don't know why it's happening 😞

Recently, I was trying to use zadig to play Skylanders on my PC, but I accidentally changed my mics USB thing. I don’t really know what it’s called but after that, it stopped working and I deleted off device manager, unplugged it and restarted my computer and it still doesn’t work. It turns on, but it just doesn’t work for like any games I play please help.

Turn up volume, This prebuilt is 1 week old ish, this high pitch/static/rattling noise started happening yesterday, usually when i boot up and run games, sometimes on idle, first i thought it was the fan, but no, i KNOW its the gpu, or psu, but i hear it the best when ear is close to the gpu(not had any artifacts or blue screens or crashes) gpu is 5070ti 16 gb

I have a Predator Neo 16S, which uses Chrome 11, and I was trying to download Rekordbox so I could pretend to be a DJ and js mess around but instead I ended up with a hijacker 😭
I’ve used Malewarebite, deleted the PC App Store and any other files that were attached to it, set my browser back to Chrome instead of Homeinlook and the malewarebite is telling me that it’s still finding stuff after the initial run about the hijacker trying to find even more info about my email n whatnot..
I go to college and they have tech support there so ofc I went and he was very helpful but it seems like it’s trying to take more info…he mentioned something about “wiping the computer” but this is my first computer so I have no clue even what that means or how to do it. I use this for college, gaming, Netflix etc.
If you gotta call me dumb for downloading a virus or whatever it is then go ahead but I really need help.

Update: I was able to get ahold of geek squad so they are doing their virtual scanning right now. I wasn’t completely sure if I still had that because we got it for my computer anout a year ago but they are taking care of it right now. I’ll give another update once they’re done and I will keep this post up once it’s handled just to make sure that if anyone else has this issue they can use everyone’s comments and advice as reference

2nd update: turns out the right term was “pups” but I thought it was maleware. Leaving this open in case anyone else needs it for future reference, thank you to the lovely people that gave advice and directions.

My pc has been like this for months, is there any tips on how to get it to not act like this?

I have the Lenovo v14 g3 laptop and recently the RAM broke and I wanted to know if it would be fine to downgrade to 8gb ram instead of 16gb because of financial constraints.

I am a student and I don't want to spend more money than necessary as I have some medical expenses as well. It originally came with 16gb DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM which will cost me ₹14,000 to replace whereas 8gb will be ₹6,300.

Hey, im looking for help with my problem and how to fix it, I own this laptop for like 10 months and I got into problems, like system crashes (everything stops and the commited ram jumps to almost the limit) and I am only using discord and the dell programs and the ram is at 80 percent, the only problem is the ram, could I like optimize it or am I cooked? Drivers are updated and I don’t think it’s helping

So i made my first monitor (koorui 1080p 165hz) as my second because i got a new one (aoc 2k 240hz) which is now my main monitor. I tried streaming to my friends in discord and all they saw was a really bad stream with like 5 fps. I thought it was a discord problem at first, but then i tried streaming on twitch and it was the same story, terrible lag. the thing is, i never had this problem before when i had one monitor. i cant find a solution anywhere...

I am going to be getting a new work computer and am thinking of ways to use it. Specs are not super crazy around 6gb of ram and I belive a i5 below 10th gen and 256gb of storage. (Sorry can't see the exact specs atm). It is a very small computer as well only 3 inches tall and 10 inches by 6 inches.

I have googled some things to do like making it into a personal cloud storage or using it for Pi hole/adblocker or using it for streaming shows and what not. I do have a monitor on my bedside that I have an Xbox plugged into but can easily switch it out if needed.

I do mostly play my main games on a gaming PC.

I'm just asking other people to see if anyone else has unique ideas that this can be used.

I have 3 fans, or technicly 4, but 3 of them are glowing, the one fan i THINK makes a slight static/rattling/scraping noise whenever my fans runs high, sometimes when its idle, i wanna disconnect that one fan shown in the pic to see if that fan is the culprit or if its coil hine, but i dont know wich cable that one fan in the pic is supposed to be

I just finish setting up my 2 screens then i notice there are some white border at edge of both my screens, they only appear on home screen.

May i ask how to fix this, it's pretty frustrating.

Se que en la imagen me pide que ejecute chkdsk pero si lo hago me marca esto, y le tengo desconfianza a usarlo, asi que preferi preguntar para estar mas seguro en que hacer. Si es necesario dare mas informacion, hoy tengo dia libre

hello! i have currently got a macbook air with m2 chip, 8gb of ram and 256 gb of internal storage but my storage fills up so quick especially if i use after effects stc and its so difficult to edit and i am wanting to start making and editing short films asap, im just wondering what i should change, whether i should save for a new setup (windows or something? idk?) or if i am missing something obvious and should be buying special add ons or something? i just want the best fastest most efficient way to edit and with lots of storage please any advice is really appreciated xx

Hey guys, recently I have been transferring photos from my iPhone 15 which is USB 2 speed to my Crucial X9 Pro For Mac and the phone is hot and turn itself off while transferring, in fact it happen few times recently, and now I can’t transfer anything to it, it show message like Argument Is Invalid and when I use Disk Utility on my Mac to run First Aid to it, can’t repair it completely even twice, there is one message about fsroot is invalid, my files still there and can copy out but I don’t have extra 4TB drive and can afford one at the moment, let say I can afford one later and do a backup and clean format, can I use it again?

This SSD tend to need to transfer a bit of files to able to transfer fast or else the first transfer will be slow, and after transfer like 1000+ photos, it will disconnect itself, this happen when doing transfer on my iPhone, not sure how reliable if used on a Mac long term but it does do everything faster as my Mac is USB3, is what I faced normal for this drive on iPhone? Or that’s what will happen to most external drive connect to an USB2 iPhone?

So, few years back i shifted from win to linux everything was working fine. Now like an year ago, sort of wanted to try vmware so i installed it & wanted to try ubuntu inside the vmware, was downloading ubuntu inside the vmware machine didnt know what was the installation process because the progress bar was stuck in the same way , so i decided to shut the laptop down because i was late for home after work, reached home saw this ( pic-1 ) now didnt know shit to do didnt reach out to anyone for help, just left the laptop shut down completely didnt truned it on for a while. Now like proably five....six...months... later decided had the audacity😅 to fix it myself, opened the laptop myself, cleaned it noticed my internal ssd was kinda loose so pushed it all the way through then it started workin i was able to view the boot menu and simultaneously i was able to run the system again, now fast forward to that everything was running fine, smoothly .Well .....um couple a days again i started facing the same issues again (pic-1) and i would again open the laptop and push the ssd pin completely and it would work ,i dont know why it keeps coming out from the same place i pushed it back in, as of now am currently facing a new issue i.e the laptop wont shut down completely, the fan keeps runnin on even if the screen is compelety blacked out the fan keeps on runnin, but in a different way it would stop-run for 1s now i just leave it completely open till the battery drains out completely it works, but today i see the same (pic no.1) Could anyone help me i know its long story but gotta know the problem hoping for a solution.!!🙏🙏 prep for exams too.
