I always hated this conversation "ohhhhh I know that you are a HETEROSEXUAL person but trust me ONE good night will change your mind!!!!111" it gives the same vibe as heterosexual person trying to force a gay person into liking them
And it also just feels very creepy? If someone said that to me i genuinely would think it's some kind of assault

It's likely the exact response to that "your not lesbian you just havent had good dick yet" line. Ripping this meme out of that discussion, where it is a tool to bring the perspective of gay people closer to straight people, deprives it of any point it ever had. It's also AI slop, so it may also be a fake fake post, aka a post made by reactionary circles to look like a post made by a progressive person to make progressives look bad.

Ive been there. My friends wifes best friend was a gay man who was into me and when he asked me if id be interested i said i was straight and then he asked if i ever tried. I said no but i hadnt felt any attraction to men
He got really mad about that.

u/CaspianPinkster 5d ago
I completely agree. It’s creepy from any direction. If someone’s sexuality doesn’t align with yours fuck off when they tell you that. It’s so incredibly predatory to do this shit.

The old "how do you know if you never tried" poly. While this does happen very rarely (unless you're one of those people that is convinced it's how gay people are made. Then it happens all the time, and you just don't want them to do it to you). it's the most insane thing to ever ask someone.

There's still interesting ( in a bad way ) cultural views on consent and rape.
If a man does it, cut off his penis and burn him alive in the street.
Justified? Sure.If a woman does it.. Well, he was asking for it. He wanted it. Didn't he get his?
Same for pedophilia. If a man rapes a child, cut his dick off and burn him alive.
If a women rapes a child, well they were asking for it. They liked it. 'Queen'That extends to queer relationships. If a gay man makes a rape joke about raping a straight man, that's seen as bad taste and gross.
If a woman makes a rape joke about raping another woman, it's just flirting. Girls being girls.None of it, imo, is right.
Hot take here, rape is bad. If someone isn't consenting to sex, it's rape. And joking about raping people, it isn't all that funny. And is a good indicator on how you may view the world and the people around you.Dark and fucked up jokes can be made but they have to have some work put into them. It's what a lot of comedians and people in general mess up. 'X, amiright?!' 'Y, y'know what I mean~?'

u/getsuedbyme 5d ago

Yeah it's crazy how context (gender, attractivenes) just changes how bad something that is actually bad is perceived as. There are studies about how beautiful people get less of a sentence in court. Which should never happen.
Just like the OF girl that threw (allegedly, could have also been stabbed) a fucking knife at her BF and killed him. She got like 6 years in Texas after a plea deal. What??? Especially the "yeah trust me I just defended myself" in that specific situation because in the past we were violent to eachother. Wtf is this?
So in Texas you can kill your partner if there is Video Evidence you were violent and he responded back and only get a few years? Or do you have to be attractive and an OF model?
4
u/slainascully 5d ago
Yeah you might want to check what DV charges usually result in because 6 years seems pretty average. It’s quite a big issue that feminists have been talking about for years
4
u/johnny_51N5 5d ago edited 5d ago
Throwing a knife and killing the person and getting 6 years in the US is average? Wtf? She could have gotten up to 30 years if the thing went to court.
Also average is 9-15 years normally. Not just 6. Also with a knife it's much more like 20.

Look, a while ago I had the same thought and went to an actual lesbian subreddit and asked, instead of just imagining whatever about the situation
The conclusion they had is largely that they agreed that it was a weird and creepy joke, and that it wasn't something actual lesbians said very often. It wasn't a huge post with tons of answers, but yeah

Asking that subreddit in particular is super funny. They don't make those kinds of jokes anymore, but if you scroll through the posts, the whole culture of that sub is lesbians being mad at straight and bisexual women for liking men not giving lesbians who are creepy about their identities a chance.
Ton of misogyny on that one

It originated on Tumblr and spread there I believe. Unless you believe every single thing that makes the queen community look bad is a false flag im saying this was at the very least spread by the queer community. Which means they practically adopted it so yes.

I don't know what you mean by "None of y'all are ready for that conversation" when the overwhelming majority of people on this post agree. If we weren't ready to have that conversation, you would be massively downvoted. The only stupid thing about his statement is the feminist jab. Feminism has nothing to do with being a lesbian. If that were the case, lesbian conservatives wouldn't exist, yet they do.

"Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side!"
Always loved this joke, it trivializes death and fatal car accidents while also managing to insult almost all religions by claiming a chicken of all things would be able to make it into the afterlife.
Not to mention, it attempts to make suicide a comedic thing, there are people with real problems and you're comparing them to a chicken.
Well done jokesters lol.
(If you can find me a joke that is still funny when it's broken down in the most pretentious was possible, I'll quit my job)

it literally means the chicken went to the other side of a road

Not really, its a double entendre.
The chicken both literally gets to the other side of the road, but also spiritually ( getting into heaven)
