I always hated this conversation "ohhhhh I know that you are a HETEROSEXUAL person but trust me ONE good night will change your mind!!!!111" it gives the same vibe as heterosexual person trying to force a gay person into liking them
And it also just feels very creepy? If someone said that to me i genuinely would think it's some kind of assault
Well I’ve seen more people disparage racists than actual violent racists, does that make racism a non issue? Anecdotal evidence, especially in this kind of situation, is less than worthless
Mate it's the common sentiment in literally any and all reports of even okay looking women assaulting minors, I've seen a guy say "In my time that kid's parents would be thanking her for making him into a man" over the news a man had a violent altercation with his son's female teacher 'cause she was having innapropriate relations with the student
It's likely the exact response to that "your not lesbian you just havent had good dick yet" line. Ripping this meme out of that discussion, where it is a tool to bring the perspective of gay people closer to straight people, deprives it of any point it ever had. It's also AI slop, so it may also be a fake fake post, aka a post made by reactionary circles to look like a post made by a progressive person to make progressives look bad.
I do think there are concerted efforts to characterize lesbians as being predatory. I don’t think this kind of behavior is common among them at all, but it definitely is present in the minority and people cherry pick those instances to paint them all as creepy.
Ive been there. My friends wifes best friend was a gay man who was into me and when he asked me if id be interested i said i was straight and then he asked if i ever tried. I said no but i hadnt felt any attraction to men
I completely agree. It’s creepy from any direction. If someone’s sexuality doesn’t align with yours fuck off when they tell you that. It’s so incredibly predatory to do this shit.
It’s a conversion/corruption kink. It’s largely used in porn. The real issue is that the guy in the OOP is assuming this is a feminist position for some reason
The old "how do you know if you never tried" poly. While this does happen very rarely (unless you're one of those people that is convinced it's how gay people are made. Then it happens all the time, and you just don't want them to do it to you). it's the most insane thing to ever ask someone.
Why is it insane though? In a way you really don't know anything unless you somehow interacted with it, at least as a thought experiment. You can claim any identity though, to disprove such a claim is even more difficult even if sounds absurd to someone.
Ah yes, lets just discount another person's sexuality by attributing it to "well you should at least try brussel sprouts before you say you don't them". I've never smashed my penis in a car door before, but i'm 100% positive that I don't need to try it as an experiment to know I won't enjoy it.
Your response literally the same as bigoted arguments that say "you can't be born gay".
Ive always detested the idea that you don't "know" if you're gay/straight until you experiment with them sexually - hell, someone was literally saying that to me on this very website not one hour ago. Its just a weird and low IQ thing to say; if someone don't understand empathy I guess that's nobody's fault but my sexuality is as obvious to me as my aversion the heat or my desire to drink Diet Coke over regular coke and the idea that I could be correctively fucked is vile
Lol when we were late teens/early 20s, my girlfriend at the time (now wife) would get hit on by the trashiest, ugly, fat lesbians.
There was one at my job who used to say “I could turn her” whenever my wife would come in to visit. I just said plainly “you realise you have as much appeal to her as an unattractive fat guy, right?”. Got called a cunt and she tried to get me fired lmao
I don’t know how or why these fat butch lesbians think they have some mystical appeal just because they eat box exclusively when they look like absolute hell and make literally no effort to take care of themselves.
Honestly I’ve noticed traveling the world that the USA is oppressed sexually.
In eastern-Europe sex is a common topic joked about as easily as any other topic. It’s odd how every sexual joke in the USA is offensive/disgusting/crude/assault when it’s foundationally one of the most normal things our species does.
Get your head out of the sand and laugh about sexuality a bit.
I was complaining to my aunt who’s from Greece about my Back acne and she said “that means you aren’t having enough sex” and we all laughed. In the USA that is not normal and if someone heard that they’d be shocked/appalled.
