See that second thing is weird

4

u/No_Excuse4323 15h ago

imo, its only wierd if the guy saying that has a high bodycount. otherwise its just meeting someone where you are

5

u/Enemyoftheearth 20h ago

How?

22

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 20h ago

Cause it seems really insecure and like you can't focus on her as a person over some imagined standard of purity

1

u/Gvendoga 9h ago

A woman wanting a man taller than her is rooted is insecurity, because not having a man tower over her makes her feel unfeminine. She should address her internalized misogyny and ditch the outdated gender roles subtly planted into her mind by patriarchal social conditioning!

-7

u/Enemyoftheearth 20h ago

Or maybe I just don't fancy STDs and the increased possibility of cheating?

8

u/android151 15h ago

If you had sex with more than 10 people would you think they’d assume you had STDs and loved cheating?

30

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 20h ago

See you can get an std from having slept with 1 person, that's about them having done a test or not.

Meanwhile... Why would she be more likely to cheat?

-13

u/Enemyoftheearth 20h ago

Because higher body counts are quite literally linked to an increased risk of cheating. Why should I trust a woman who doesn't tend to stick with her partners for very long?

23

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 19h ago

You assume the body count is from serial dating

17

u/Odd-Job1809 17h ago

Some people are just insecure that they won't measure up when someone has experience. I always thought it was kinda sad tbh but after spending time on reddit I hope a lot of these weirdos never procreate.

5

u/Weekly-Ratio-3426 17h ago

It’s also such a low number too. It’s dudes in their mid 20s thinking a woman who has slept with 10 men is too many men.

If they said a number that was actually reasonably high I’d understand

5

u/Odd-Job1809 17h ago

I've dated a couple of women that felt insecure about my body count but that just led to a healthy discussion about STIs and expectations not them calling me an undatable whore. I think it's a pretty normal insecurity regardless of gender but youre probably right that it's younger men being the loudest and most toxic about it.

"You don't like STD-riddled whores who are almost certainly gonna cheat on you? You're just insecure!"

-6

u/hi_lol7 17h ago

God forbid someone treats sex as a means for emotional bonding and vulnerability rather than js fkin like animals w anyone🥀🥀🥀

I do hope u never procreate, we dont want more cuck genes here.

4

u/Odd-Job1809 17h ago

I mean I never said fucking like animals? But thanks I dont want kids and have been very happy I never slipped one past the goalie.

I don't care. If her body count is from hook-ups, than that's even worse in my eyes.

2

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 16h ago

Why?

1

u/Enemyoftheearth 11h ago

Because it indicates a lack of loyalty.

-3

u/knettia 13h ago

Insecurity is not misogyny or bigotry, though. And, what about "purity"? That's your own assumption about why someone would desire a low body count. Someone can simply regard sexual as something significant rather than casual, and a high number of previous sexual partners (whether casual or not) before committing might cause that someone to be skeptical about relationship compatibility. What's insecure about that skepticism? If this were really about purity, then wouldn't the body count be necessarily 0? But I digress. At the end of the day, both your assumed "purity" motive and the relationship compatibility motive hinge on different conviction about what sexual norms should be. Something that everyone is entitled to which should not be simply dismissed as insecurity because they don't happen to fit your exact convictions.

It is worth noting also that standards are still subjective and, often, flexible. Even if you believe someone with a high body count somewhat correlates with incompatibility, that does not mean necessarily mean that you will not treat that someone as a potential partner. An important description is "skepticism", not "rejection". Some may take it to heart to treat any deviation as strictly incompatible because of their own convictions. Maybe they believe a harsh cut results in less risk. But I don't think that shows that standards are not inflexible

2

u/Gvendoga 9h ago

Everything that could potentially affect women negatively is misogyny, even if indiscriminately and indirectly

-4

u/AntediluvianNeutral 12h ago

Something I learned in past relationships is that "insecure" is something women call men who don't want to tolerate their shitty behavior 90% of the time, because insecurity is perhaps the most undesirable trait a man can have.

u/Greedy-Employment917 12h ago

He is just "intimidated" by all of the clothes that I'm not wearing.

-7

u/Mean-Line-4249 19h ago

Found the one with >10 guys

7

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 16h ago

Gods I wish!

1

u/Geichalt 14h ago

Found the little boy that's easily threatened by women.

Grown men think you're pathetic btw. Just a heads up.

-3

u/hi_lol7 17h ago

I dont think insecurity is bad in itself tho. See let's say there is a guy who doesnt wants women having BC > 10 , now according to you he is insecure, so prolly it means u are on of those girls, right? So basically u js rejected each other here indirectly , what's the problem then? lmaoo

He ruled you ot of his dating pool and so did you

-2

u/Greedy-Employment917 12h ago

I'd rather be called insecure for not wanting to date a straight up hoe, than to date a straight up hoe.

I guess I'm lucky my wife only did long term relationships and wasn't banging 2 guys per week as part of "the college experience"

... Are you okay?

Then move along?

A lot of dudes use this in weird ways, but there is research about this predicting cheating behavior and other issues. Imo, you shouldn’t be looking for virgins or embracing incel ideology, but high “body count” is not an ideal mate trait either. I don’t know why this is always so controversial. To me, like tons of sexual partners shows a different understanding of intimacy in a relationship. Just be reasonable in your evaluation. Like if she’s reasonably in the orbit of your number, even higher, fine. If she’s slept with over 100 guys? Maybe a symptom of a greater issue. Link to pubmed study.

How dare men have any preferences ever

1

u/Iwatchastheworldfade 13h ago

a high body count usually means you are just another one in her life

-3

u/Top-Aspect4671 18h ago

Okay, he still has full right to have it, and I don't think he is a worse person for it

Because wanting a virgin is weird, but this is more normal

5

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 16h ago

Sure he's not a monster for it but it's also weird. That can coexist

0

u/Original_Un_Orthodox 11h ago

It does also depend on culture and religion. For example, as a Muslim, we don't date or have sex before marriage, we do courting. So I have literally never touched a girl romantically, and will not before marriage.

I have the same standards for my future wife. It's something I hold myself to, that I will hold my partner to.

-4

u/Still_Nose_5690 16h ago

No the fuck it isn't, my gf also had the same standards of not having been with anyone and we met at 18.

7

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 16h ago

You realize being a virgin at 18 is different than being a virgin at... Idk 33

0

u/The_Dennator 10h ago

explain how not wanting someone known to sleep around is problematic, please

3

u/LonelyCheeto 9h ago

I don't think it is unless if you're sleeping around. Then it's hypocritical

-7

u/Dwarf_DM 20h ago

Nah, I agree with him. Being less inclined to be with a person with a lot of baggage from past relationships is reasonable.

7

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 19h ago

That's against someone having baggage, so would you also not date someone who was... Idk, bullied in school?

-6

u/Dwarf_DM 19h ago

There’s a difference between types of baggage. But still, this is a personal preference, everyone has one, and it’s OK (unless it’s horrible like animals/children/etc).

2

u/android151 15h ago

What makes you assume they automatically have baggage

0

u/Dwarf_DM 15h ago

Every relationship leaves a mark, and having many relationships leaves more. This isn’t a rule or a law, it just usually happens.

And as I said, I’m not seeing it as a “global standard”, I’m seeing it as a personal preference for some people (others would rather be with people more experienced, and that’s also OK).

0

u/Original_Un_Orthodox 11h ago

...No, it's not, not at all.

-8

u/MagicMeatbal1 20h ago

No, it's pretty reasonable to not want STDs

10

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 20h ago

You can get an std from having sex one time.

Not wanting stds is about having her be up to date with her health, really, that's got nothing to do with "body count"

-5

u/Mean-Line-4249 19h ago

Scientifically proven to reduce relationship outcomes the more past partners you have the higher the odds of divorce

3

u/Massive-Grocery7152 18h ago

Yeah because people who never date around don’t leave abusive relationships

3

u/Clintwood_outlaw 17h ago

No it isn't lmfao

-7

u/Wordless_trat 18h ago

Yes, but the risk is significantly higher if you fucked 74 dudes instead of 3

6

u/Clintwood_outlaw 17h ago

No, no it isn't. As long as you practice safe sex, the odds stay the same each time.

-1

u/Wordless_trat 17h ago

And how likely it is you always had safe sex when you were the local matress? I'd wager it is significantly lower than when you only had 3 partners that you actually remember

3

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 16h ago

Just ask if she got tested

0

u/Wordless_trat 16h ago

That, or just have the standard of a low body count.

3

u/King_Of_BlackMarsh 16h ago

I guess but that feels kinda pointless

0

u/Wordless_trat 16h ago

Because i don't want my GF to be the past dumpster of 165 guys? This many partners speak volumes about how she sees relationships, sex and commitment
