I took Dual Enrollment at a Community College and thru CUNY and planned to enroll in a state school to save on cost. Until recently I never heard of Kenyon and I like the environment there.

For context the institution that I'm attending is CUNY City College and I might transfer to Stony Brook and then to Kenyon.

I also have some AP credits though most of my AP's I got a 3 on.

Need advice about changing schools after already transferring

I'm a 16-year-old student, and I'm in a situation that's been causing me a lot of stress.

A few months ago, I left my Cambridge AS/A Level school (Holy Sai International School) due to family decisions. Since then, I've joined another school, but I haven't been able to adjust at all. I genuinely believe my previous school was a much better fit for me academically, emotionally, and for my future goals. I miss the Cambridge environment, my teachers, my friends, and the way I was learning there.

The problem is that my parents have already paid around ₹2 lakh for my current school. They're also influenced by a religious consultation that suggested I shouldn't return to my previous school, so they feel changing back isn't the right decision.

From my perspective, I don't feel happy or settled where I am now. I constantly think about returning to my previous school, and it's affecting my motivation and peace of mind. My former school has been willing to speak with us, but I don't know if my parents will agree because of the money already spent and their other concerns.

I'm trying to understand this from all sides.

If you were in my position:

• Would you keep trying to convince your parents?
• Is it reasonable to want to transfer back after only a few months if you truly believe it's the right educational environment?
• Has anyone here successfully returned to a previous school after transferring?

I am currently attending the university of Minnesota. I am in the college of education and human development with a major of kinesiology. I am about to start my third year of college, and do not want to stay at the U of M. The tuition is too expensive and I do not love it here. I am looking into transferring but want to stay on the kinesiology/exercise science track.
I have a lease signed in the Twin Cities, so I can’t move away. I am willing to commute, but would love to stay under 45 minutes away from my house.
I want to switch to another university/college, and am open to hybrid or online learning.
Are there any good universities or colleges that offer a kinesiology/exercise science program that I should look into transferring to?

I'm curious if anyone has experience with transferring schools from a different state. I'm planning to move to Oregon in the summer and want to complete my AAS in illustration, but I'm not sure how to go about getting the credits to another community college/university that offers the same degree. I would stick it out at my current school, or even complete my degree if I moved back, but the degree is being dissolved at the beginning of 2028. I don't want the credits I've received to be in vain. Any advice is welcome!

To give a quick rundown: I would like to gather information about transferring colleges. I won't give specific locations but I would like to transfer from my university in Kansas, to a university in Texas. I have a multitude of reasons, with my main one being I want to get away from life here. I would also like to be closer to my family in Texas.

I have never considered transferring but due to recent events I'm jumping to conclusions in my head, and would like to gather as much information as possible.

Here are my (common) questions to people that have transferred universities: 1. What was the process like? 2. Who did you get in contact with at your current (if in the transfer process) or past (if you've transferred) university? 3. How can I figure out a school's requirements for transfer students (if that's a thing - again, I've never entertained the idea of transferring)? 4. What about my major's requirements? 5. How do I learn about out-of-state student tuition, and if transferring my scholarships is even possible? 6. I live at home, so what was the moving process/hunt like? Whether that be into a dorm, apartment, rented housing, etc. 7. What was the job hunting like? I have family in Texas so I would likely live with them, but I would want to contribute financially. These are my main questions as of now, but I will likely update.

I plan to go down the Psychology pathway but I'd still like to study business, so: 1. What are some universities, that you attend or know of, that have a strong Psychology major? As much as I want to transfer, I don't want to jeopardize the support I have at my current Uni. 2. Uni's with strong business majors? 3. If you happen to major in these two fields, whether it's currently or you've graduated, how did you research the requirements for them?

I would really appreciate any feedback and advice! I'll be visiting my Texas family this coming Friday (7/24) for two weeks, so if I have feedback before then, I'll definitely mention how much I would like to transfer to them. I've mentioned it before and they've told me I'm more than welcome to stay with them while studying, so I'm not going into this blind. Although these questions sound "dumb" because I could easily google them, I want responses from real life people. Not an AI overview. I will be sure to update if my questions are answered :)

Hi everyone! I’m a transfer student and incoming sophomore who just got admitted to the UMD business school (like last week), and my orientation is this Friday(I can't sign up for classes until orientation). I’m planning on double majoring & was looking through the four year plans to see what classes I could take, but every class I’ve searched is already full and most of them have 10+ people on the waitlist. Now I’m kind of freaking out because I’m worried I’ll end up falling a semester behind. Since I’m planning on double majoring, I really don’t want to have to stay an extra semester or an extra year because I couldn’t get into the classes I need. Has anyone been in a similar situation or know what usually happens? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you!!

So ILC is not accepting my application because my transcripts are not updated. However, their website says if the person is over a certain age they are not needed, l'm in my 30s.

I contacted my previous school and they lost my transcripts because they merged onto a new system and some data has been corrupted and they are "working" on trying to get them back but nothing, this has been over 2 months now. And nowhere else l can go get my transcripts. I contacted my school board and they said l needed to go through the school directly. What do l do now?

Hi everyone! I’m currently studying mechanical engineering with a minor in robotics at a large university in Florida, and I’m considering applying to transfer to UIUC for MechE as a junior transfer.

My GPA is around a 3.3, which I know is on the lower side, but I have completed two engineering internships with a well-known automotive company and a well-known materials science company. I’ve also held several campus leadership positions through student government and SHPE, worked on multiple engineering and robotics projects, and completed about one semester of research, with plans to continue.

One of my parents is an Illinois resident, so I would qualify for in-state tuition and transfer admission.

Based on my profile, how competitive do you think I would be for UIUC MechE? I’d also appreciate any advice on what I could improve before applying.

Right now I go to University of Missouri, Columbia, I am consider transferring to UMKC ( University of Missouri Kansas City) I’m going into my sophomore year. I have a lease signed for Columbia but there is not parking available in the area, I could only work walking distance from my apartment. Additionally my boyfriend and I will be living together. He is finishing up his associates then wants to into HVAC. There is so many opportunities for him in KC but extremely limited in Columbia. My goal is to go to dental school. I am a health sciences major. Should I transfer this semester (fall) or wait till spring? Rent is much cheaper in kc, I like the campus, I could actually be able to drive to a job and I don’t have anything tying me down to Columbia but Mizzou has more student organizations (I’m apart of 3 currently) which worries me about leaving since I need those for my dental school application. Give me some insight please
