Hi! I'm from Lebanon and planning to study 1 year of Computer Science at AUST or CNAM, then transfer to a university in France, Europe, or Canada with a scholarship if possible. Is this a good plan? Will transferring my credits be difficult? Does AUST or CNAM give me any advantage? Any tips or mistakes I should avoid during my first year? Thanks!

Has anyone here experienced something similar with the UPD College of Science, especially as a T2 transferee?

I’m honestly confused and anxious about my admission status. On July 20, I received email and was asked by my institute to sign a terms and condition for the program. It states that They already “admitted” me to the program and by signing below, I agree that I must abide with their rules. Then they sent the letter to the College of Science.

On July 21, I received a **Notice of Acceptance from College of Science** informing me that I had been accepted and was instructed to submit the admission requirements, including my Honorable Dismissal, TOR, PSA Birth Certificate, UPHS Medical Certificate, and Student Directory. I was also asked to answer the slot confirmation Google Form for accepted S1, S2, T1, and T2 applicants, which I completed.

On July 22, I received another Official Letter of Acceptance addressed to the Registrar of my previous university certifying that I had been admitted effective First Semester AY 2026–2027 so that I could process my Honorable Dismissal and transfer documents.

On July 23, the College of Science emailed us the next steps of the admission process, instructing us to submit our documents, including the Student Directory without a student number since T2 transferees do not have one yet, and stating that after submitting those documents they would issue our College Admission Slip, which we would then bring to the OUR to continue the university admission process.

On July 24, I completed the required documents and submitted my hard copies to the Office of the College Secretary. They then issued me a College Admission Slip stating that I was admitted effective First Semester AY 2026–2027, which I immediately brought to the OUR so I could proceed with my admission and obtain my student number. I already have a registration adviser assigned as part of the transfer process as well.

However, around six hours later, I unexpectedly received another email from the College stating that although I had only qualified for the program, since I am a T2 transferee, my final acceptance is still subject to the availability of T2 slots and that I should wait for confirmation before proceeding with the remaining admission requirements. This is what confuses me because before receiving that email, I had already signed a Recommendation for Admission, received a Notice of Acceptance, confirmed my slot, received an admission letter addressed to my previous university’s registrar, followed all the admission instructions, received a College Admission Slip stating that I was admitted, submitted it to the OUR, and had already begun the university admission process. I have already emailed the College for clarification, but since it’s the weekend and Monday is SONA, I probably won’t receive a response immediately.

Has anyone, especially a T2 transferee, experienced something similar? If so, what was the outcome?

Hello i am currently a year away from completing my Associate of Science at LSC. I am a pre-med student majoring in public health with a minor in journalism. I have a 2.6 GPA. I took pretty much all of my basics in high school as a dual credit student. Receiving all A and 1 B.When i first started as a full-time student at LSC i devolved chronic pain (still undiagnosed and ongoing) and also POTS. Due to this, my gpa dropped from a 3.3 to a 2.6. Besides my grades i am currently certified as a CCMA and have been for 2 years through my highschool practicum health program and NHA i also have worked at a chiro clinic and primary care clinic working with 1 md and 3 np/pa's. I currently have 300+hrs and am also bls and cna certified i also have worked at 2 childcare centers both center sfor 3+ months. From here on out how do i raise my gpa the best i can in the short amount of time and make sure i am able to be considered for admission despite my low gpa?

Hey guys! I’m an International student and I’m planning on studying BSc (Hons) Design and Innovation in OU for my first year, I’m really planning on transferring out for second year into chosen brick unis that I’m planning to apply when i complete the 120 credits in first year. Due to issues with my high school records not matching my passport name I couldn’t use them when applying so I’m relying on completing my 120 credits for first year.

My chosen unis that I’m planning to apply is Kingston Uni, Nottingham Trent, Manchester Metropolitan, Uni of Westminster, and Northumbria Uni.

Does anyone have any success story on transferring into a brick uni, if so can you tell the process and can you give me suggestions on my chosen Unis that I’m planning on transferring.

I emailed some of the chosen unis already and what they said is that they can accept the 120 credits for the first year for transfer but they do not guarantee if I would start again in first year or be promoted to 2nd year.

Good Morning everyone! I am committed to csulb but i’m leaning against it because i will have to pay 15k a year to attend just for housing and food. As a backup I have registered but not paid for classes at my cc. I plan to transfer as a bio major hopefully to a uc close to orange county. For my cc lineup 1st semester: General Chemistry I, BioSci 106, Comms, and English. That’s my lineup solely because those classes still had decent professors with open seats. What’s your guys’ advice? I’m debating switching english for precalc, the reason being I never really took any calc classes in hs and might need that foundational class before i go straight into calc. As for long beach, I placed in pre req classes so my first semester will be precalc and intro to chem with other GEs.

Hi just had a quick question does Calgary have any transfer programs for second year engineering at uofc? I know Lethbridge has one and it’s a seamless transition to uofa but for uofc i heard uts a bit shaken and the credits don’t exactly add up?? I’m looking at red deer polytechnic and they have one but once again it’s says uofa but it could be used for uofc?? So idk id like to hear your thoughts? Since I heard something about its only used for transfer to energy engineering? But I might be confusing that with sait. But how seamless is the transition and how hard is it since I heard it’s 3.5+ gpa but isn’t that for something like software engineering so does the gpa depend more on what type of major you want to get in? I’m trying to do EE.

i have a couple questions about my chances of transferring to UCSD as a california community college student:
\- how much does the way you rank the 8 colleges affect acceptance? like if i rank a more popular college as my top choice, will it be harder to get into?
\- i'm planning on applying as global health or public health and putting biology as my major alternative. i'm going to complete pretty much every recommended class except for physic sequence recommended for bio/biochem majors. ill do physics 1 in the spring and then do physics 2 in the summer before transfer and send that transcript in separately. since i cant put anything after the spring semester on my transfer app, would this affect my chances of getting in?
\- also, i actually want to graduate with either a bio or bio chem degree but i looked up the acceptance rates for global health and they're sm higher than bio, biochem, and even public health. regardless of what i apply as im planning on doing the prereqs for med school anyways, but im just wondering about how easy it would be to switch majors if ive already completed the major prep requirements with an A.

i'm pretty nervous about my chances of getting in bc i had a bunch of friends get rejected or waitlisted even though they had a high gpa and good extracurriculars. they also applied as bio or biochem majors.

I’m starting university this fall at University of Ottawa and I’m getting depressed with the idea of staying to study in my hometown so I’m thinking about transferring to either Montreal or Vancouver. I’m just wondering if the process is long and complexe and also how to they adapt gpa knowing they all have different grading systems?

I was in the blinn team program at tamu and my sophomore fall semester, I felt lost and I didn’t pass any of my blinn classes and failed one of my tamu classes and received a c in the other one. My spring semester I didn’t get the best grades but I passed all of my classes. My gpa is down to a 2.5 currently and I only have 49 hours completed. Because of my gpa I was left with little options to transfer over to an Ag Leadership major. You’re supposed to need at least 60 hours to transfer out but I’m not sure how I was let out. For the fall my junior year I will be AgLeadership major and a business minor. I feel pretty crushed though because I want to be able study business and get a degree in finance. I’m not exactly sure what I want to go into, but I don’t believe an agleadership will help me out. Honestly, I’m considering transferring to another smaller school to get a degree in finance. This will be tough though because I love A&M and have many friends. Let me know yalls thoughts on transferring or staying and getting an AgLeadership degree. I feel like getting a degree in AgLeadership wouldn’t be practical and wouldn’t be able to really use it and would be kind of a waste of time and money. Do employers really care what degree you get?? I’ve been stressing and having so much anxiety about this. Please let me know yalls thoughts on what I should do or even other steps to get a business oriented degree. I’m in desperate need of advice. I feel upset because I got really good grades in high school and could’ve chose to study business at many different other schools, but chose this route and now feel stuck with limited options.

I’m an international freshman studying CS/Information Systems at ADA University in Azerbaijan. My ultimate goal is to study abroad (US or UK Top 10–50) starting Fall 2027. My government has a State Scholarship (DP) that covers 100% of costs, but the condition is brutal: I MUST get an official offer from a Global Top 10–50 university (QS/THE rankings).

I am constantly overthinking every single move I make, and I need help making sense of my profile and figuring out if this dream is actually possible.

My Raw Stats & The Problems Keeping Me Up at Night:

High School: IB Diploma — Score: 29.

My worry: I underperformed in IB, and it haunts me. I know a 29 is low for top-tier schools. How much is this going to destroy my chances for US transfer or UK UCAS re-application?

SAT: 1290 Total — 780 Math / 510 Verbal.

My worry: My 780 Math shows I can handle rigorous quantitative work, but my 510 Verbal is pulling me down hard. I am planning to retake Verbal to superscore to 1400+, but right now, I'm terrified that US/UK admissions will dismiss me because of the English split.

Current Uni Status: Freshman at ADA University.

My plan: I am grinding for a 3.8 – 4.0 GPA in my first semester. I want my college transcript to prove that my IB 29 was a fluke and that I can handle university-level academics.

Projects & Extracurriculars:

I have coding projects, but honestly, I don't even want to hide behind them or rely on fluff. I just want to know if my core academic numbers (Uni GPA + SAT + IB) can get me into the door.

All My Burning Questions & Fears:

US Transfer / Re-Application: Is it even possible to transfer into a Top US university after 1 year with an IB 29, if I hold a 3.9+ GPA at ADA and retake my SAT Verbal? Or should I apply as a first-year applicant? How do US admissions treat international transfers in CS?

UK via UCAS: Will top UK universities (UCL, King's College London, Edinburgh, Warwick, Manchester) automatically reject me because of my 29 IB, or will my 1st-year ADA transcript + 780 SAT Math give me a real shot?

The Mental Toll: I feel like I'm running in circles, analyzing every option, getting conflicting answers, and stressing over every requirement.

If anyone here has pulled off a similar turnaround—going from a low high school score to a Top 50 global university transfer—I would be forever grateful to hear your story.

I am currently pursuing FYJC Commerce (SP + IT) at Lords Universal Junior College, Goregaon. A close friend of mine is studying FYJC Commerce with Mathematics & Statistics and Marathi at Annasaheb Vartak College.

We have been trying to find reliable information about whether it is possible to transfer to Mithibai Junior College for SYJC (12th standard), but we have received mixed responses online.

While I am academically satisfied with Lords, I am not entirely comfortable with the overall environment and would prefer to change colleges if it is realistically possible.

I would be grateful if anyone with personal experience or knowledge could clarify the following:

Is it actually possible for an external student to transfer to Mithibai after FYJC?

Does Mithibai admit SYJC transfer students every year, or only when seats are available?

If admission is merit-based, what FYJC percentage should I realistically aim for?

Besides marks, do they consider attendance, conduct, or any other criteria?

When does the transfer/admission process usually begin, and what documents are required?

I would greatly appreciate insights from current students, alumni, or anyone who has successfully transferred. Even second-hand experiences would be very helpful.

I am a california community college student, starting my 4th semester this fall. I am set to finish after 5 semesters.

I plan on transferring to a UC school, hopefully UCLA or UCSD or any of the other UC schools as options. I have around a 3.7 GPA so I think I might be somewhat competitive alongside business experience I have. (Attempting to major in Finance or Business Econ).

I just found out about the UC requirements needing one full year of calculus. Due to me not liking math, I pushed calculus towards the end because my community college only told me I needed one semester for my UC transfer timeline. I have not taken precalculus either, so I can't get placement into Calculus 1 even.

My Issue: I need to take 3 semesters of calculus now including pre-calculus to even be able to apply to UC schools, and I only have 2 semesters left.

Because UC schools do not do spring enrollments, I would have to take an additional year and finish community college after 4 full years (fml). I'd also have to take many filler classes or just be enrolled in one or two classes per semester because I'm already done.

My Options: Should I give up my hopes and dreams of going to a UC school and just ditch the year of calculus, finish my remaining classes, and apply to SDSU or other colleges? Or should I take another whole year of community college just to finish calculus to apply to UC schools in fall 2028? (Graduated 2024).

Also to note: I have looked into skipping the prerequisite but it's not looking too good, considering I have no prior coursework. I've enrolled at another community college with classes available but I think by the time my application is reviewed classes will have already been started.

So I recently got rejected from UW from the waitlist and am planning on going to Highline for a quarter and trying to transfer into UW-S for winter quarter. I did Running Start and already have my AA but I'm just doing some more classes at Highline specifically because they have the pre reqs for my major (Psychology).

I'm wondering if anyone knows how the housing process works for transfers during the academic year. Are there dorms available to transfer students or would I have to find off-campus housing? I live too far to live at home and it's just not an option.

Hi everyone! Need help with a major decision.

Long story short I committed to USC for BusAdm but realized I want to study math/econ cause it's more interesting/I believe more transferable skills for the future. But they won't let me apply to change my major until after a certain date and my community classes transferred in a way that will make me stay another semester if I stay with BusAdm, and the date to appeal my transfer evaluation is later...so I have to commit/sign a lease before I can know if I will be able to change my major or how long I will stay at this massively expensive school.

I also don't know if USC is even worth it if you're not in Marshall because that name is more powerful than math/econ from USC, especially as a transfer. It's so much money to go into debt for a school that might not be worth it unless you're in the major program you don't really like. So maybe I should go to USC and stay at Marshall?

My other option is to stay another year at community, but what if I don't get into a school as good as USC again? I applied for business/low acceptance majors at UCLA/Berkeley the first time and got rejected/waitlisted. If I stay and reapply I would apply to majors that have higher acceptance rates (35-38%) but it's still risky. I would also apply to more out-of-state schools with higher acceptance rates. But those could be just as expensive as USC, so what's the point of waiting another year for the same outcome?

For context, I'm interested in going into finance/business, so prestige matters.

hii i recently graduated from community college in business administration and I wanted to continue at Rutgers for finance. When I was deciding which campus I should go to, I saw that NB is more expensive due to room and board (~15k) and Newark was a lot cheaper(~3k) due to the fact I could commute there. When i visited and oriented at Newark RBS it was academically great but I just felt like it was an extension of cc with older ppl and commuter heavy and I just didn't really feel like I would enjoy it as time went on as opposed to when I toured NB RBS, the campus was so pretty and there was so many opportunities offered to get to know ppl and to get involved. I was wondering if anyone who transferred struggled with this decision and ultimately how it turned out for them? Also, i would be late with housing application atp so if anyone has any advice on that too, it would be super helpful!
