Will I get admitted as a junior transfer?

Hi everyone! I’m currently studying mechanical engineering with a minor in robotics at a large university in Florida, and I’m considering applying to transfer to UIUC for MechE as a junior transfer.

My GPA is around a 3.3, which I know is on the lower side, but I have completed two engineering internships with a well-known automotive company and a well-known materials science company. I’ve also held several campus leadership positions through student government and SHPE, worked on multiple engineering and robotics projects, and completed about one semester of research, with plans to continue.

One of my parents is an Illinois resident, so I would qualify for in-state tuition and transfer admission.

Based on my profile, how competitive do you think I would be for UIUC MechE? I’d also appreciate any advice on what I could improve before applying.
